Terry hired her after meeting her in the diner she waitressed in.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Pegulaing "After following her brothers' footsteps in enrolling at Houghton College, she and a roommate made plans to venture to Alaska to work near a fishing camp upon hearing there was money to be made. Unable to afford the fare, she applied for work at a restaurant in Olean, New York; while interviewing for a waitressing gig, she met Terry Pegula, who was dining at the restaurant. Terry offered her a job at his natural gas company, and they eventually entered a relationship, marrying in 1993."

Actually, that's just the way YOU take it. People expressing an opinion that Allen has warts that may derail his career--and that another guy would have been a better pick--are not saying they know more than professional scouts. They're saying, [fill in blank] was a better pick IMO and Allen has warts. You may not agree, but it's no more hilarious than your take...

On the contrary, that's exactly what a QB has to process. He has to adjust, like an auto pilot on an airplane to the conditions. It's not just repeating the same physical activity over and over--and that's why it's the hardest position to play well in sports. At the NFL level, the mental processing has to be there or all the physical talent in the world is useless...

I agree. I just hope he can fix the mechanical flaws. I just don't understand when his coaching staff, the announcers, the team mascot and the beer vendor are saying "set your feet, don't over-stride, don't throw off your back foot, don't just use your arm" that he consistently continued to do those things anyway? Even at the Senior Bowl practices he had some of the same throwing problems. When he calmed down in the second half of that game, after realizing that he had some pass protection, he looked a lot better. But I'm worried about the "deer in the headlights" Josh Allen that I saw in so much of his 2017 game video. Will that guy remember his coaching, or will he revert back to an over-reliance on his strong arm? Training camp can't come soon enough...

Well, a pitcher trying to consistently hit the corner of the plate strikes me as a lot different than a QB who has to understand what the defense is doing, make plays on the fly when his protection is breaking down and anticipate the open receiver before the pattern has even been run. It's more than physical, it's mental processing and quick decision making under stress as well...

Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22
Lurker replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm with you on this. The TV ratings and fan support are just the tip of the iceburg. Buffalo is almost like the eighth Canadian NHL team. The 20%+ of Sabres season ticket holders who come over the bridges are important to the league... -
