Big Boss Man, Mr. Perfect, Chris Benoit, Miss Elizabeth, Bam Bam Bigelow, Earthquake, Eddie Guerrero, Road Warrior Hawk, Britsh Bull Dog Davey Boy, Ravishing Rick Rude, several others and now Randy ...
Probably a good judgement on their part. Only people worked up were the hardcore faux news lovers who'll never vote for him anyway. But probably helped with younger voters (both black and white) who are massive consumers of rap music.
Still haven't heard a better candidate for worst major picture than alexander. Jolie's accent for some bizarre reason is a cheap Russian sounding imitation like natasha from the cartoon. curiously none of the other greeks speak like her. Colin has talcum powder in his hair ... why? Was there anything in the historical accounts that mentioned this? I agree stone is hit or miss (hits for me wall street 1, 4th of July, doors, JFK .... misses wall street 2, platoon, bush). But good grief Alexander shows no signs of any experience whatsoever amongst the actors and directors. And this with a prepackaged story that has interested people for over 2,000 years.
"brown bunny" (from Buffalo's own Vincent Gallo) I think was labelled worst ever by Roger ebert. I actually liked it. Didnt need the Chloe sevigny felatio scene to redeem it. Didnt hurt either.
But the movie was pretty low budget and probably doesnt count as major
It was. That's what in telling you as damning evidence this was overall the worst by a mile. Getting RD to give it up 1st time on film should have made for enternal bragging rights, instead the thing flopped.
I'm not into movies enough to know how to strictly categorize major but id say anything with Colin farrell, Angelina Jolie and Rosario Dawson fits the bill. Blairwitch was like godfather 1 and 2 compared to Alexander.
Finally got around to seeing Stone's "Alexander" and good grief was that bad. I mean nails on chalkboard bad. Like a poorly acted grade school play. If you would have told me a movie was so bad even a full front sex scene from Rosario Dawson couldn't save it, I would have told you no way. But it's true! Stone (who's done some good stuff and I like interviews), nonetheless made a fool of himself saying critics panned it due to "homophobia". Seriously? You can probably find plenty of critics who putt from the rough too. And how would he explain the acclaim for Brokeback Mountain? C'mon man, man up and admit it: that was one ghastly waste of a film.
Other thing this guys been golf obsessed and competing since he was in diapers. His effective age as a golfer is a lot more than 35. probably worn out mentally and wouldn't mind getting away from the intense heat of competition.
I'd say for the most part Griffey is a footnote at this point. #5 all time hr list is miles away from #1.And the pathetic way he faded away left lasting negative images.
Its a very complicated place:
- prime minister is close to us, giving him billions in aid every year doesn't hurt
- military and central intelligence are closer to al Qaeda; this is why al Qaeda felt betrayed OBL wasnt defended
- it's in a volatile spot bordering India, Iran and Afghanistan
- the mountainous region is virtually impossible to police
- oh and by the way, IT HAS NUKES
On mike and mike this am they compared him to Ken Griffey jr. A rare specimen who was putting up #'s comfortably had him on pace to break important records until a series of injuries and ultimately age reduced him to a footnote.
