  1. we will try to get ahead early, put vy behind, and get him to force the ball. our best run D is our quick strike on O, those deep passes put pressure on an O to get away from the run, and then we are all good in the hood
  2. i admit to being down on JP, but i was never a put someone else in guy, i just figured he would foulder like he did for a bit there and we'd get rid of him on the offseason. now i'm pretty happy to have him as our QB. we are 2 or 3 bigmen away from really really kicking asses, and i'm happy about it!
  3. hey guys: when was the last time you saw us play with the kind of confidence we've had against solid opponents? i'm really liking this team right now
  4. i'm canadian living in nyc. i love tim horton's like mad. i have been thinking about starting up a franchise or two down here
  5. i thought he was good once, but tcali explained to me how his stats are all meaningless
  6. ADMIT IT, HE'S GOOD! YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE GOOD!!
  7. i love that play with jp, his legs made the LB decide to come off the TE. we should use jp just like that
  8. can we hear from tcali how schobel is crap?
  9. the best single addition we can have is a DT of the top caliber -- pat williams comes to my mind. getting a good G and either another G or C will move our O line forward in a big way. if we get 2 to 4 new big men we will be pretty solid next year, if we sign nate tho.
  10. if we had managed to sign pickett we would be a better d
  11. we've missed hin
  12. this strikes me the same as the pple who said they'd take brandon spoon over london when we signed london. atrain over mcgahee = on drugs insane
  13. you resent the attitude you perceive wills to show, but don't REALLY thing willis isn't better than train, do you? with willis in there we are a 2nd big physical WR and RT and interior lineman away from really being able to impose our will on opponents. i admit to selling jp short too early, it's time for willis haters to scarf a plate of crow wings.
  14. aaron is a monster today
  15. all the talk about getting rid of willis was crap. we are a much better team with him and have room for him and the train
  16. i've been down on JP for a while. he shows spurts of strong ability, he showed that for nearly the entire game yesterday. his work at the end really impressed me. that said, i still want to see more. i've not really been one of these nall ball guys, let the kid play, but i really think we need the rest of the season to see if he can do it more than once in a while. i've also noted we really need willis. if we can get a little going in the passing game, willis is just a nightmare for opponents to tackle with only 7 up at the line.
  17. rivers was a 4th overall pick who had the goods to go first overall. jp is an erratic all over the place not good qb who should have slipped to the 3rd or 4th round. many young qbs are better looking than jp is, he isn't good and never will be.
  18. game plan gave us the best chance to win. the oline and jp couldn't do jack even when given a couple of easy chances. if jp was an even average nfl qb he would have made some kind of play at some point that would have resulted in scoring. he's supposed to be fast and mobil, but just stands like a retard in the pocket and gets clocked. we need 2 or 3 new/imporved linemen (some are young and will get better) and we need a new qb.
  19. jp should run more also, he is only looking for one wr on almost every play, he isn't good
  20. we have a bad o line this means that most of the time jp won't get as much time as he would like. when he doesn't get time he is garbage: fumbles sacks ints, missed passes when he does get time he is not good: underthrows, ints, pour touch. our line needs to improve but our quarterback play is easily our biggest weakness
  21. jp is worse than rj was. at least rj put up big numbers and ran for big runs once in a while, they both have the same easy to exploit weaknesses
  22. lolz i said the same thing
  23. jp played bad, if not terrible, in the 1st NE, detroit, miami, and GB games and we managed to win 2 of them. if he played just OK we would have won 4 of them and have been 5-3. if he played very well against the jests (as opposed to well in parts, but with bad errors in others) we would have won that too and be 6-2 with losses to NE and the bears on the road. if JP was an average to good quarterback we'd be a winning division contending young team right now. he isn't and we aren't woth considering in the NFL landscape.
