Been a fan since he called himself "Krispy Kreme"
-
They are busy making jokes at the lady's expense. All the kooks on Facebook are hoping the cop walks.
Of course, because if he gets charged and convicted then it would be another sign of the racism in the criminal justice system. The facts are scarce right now, but as I said before...scary. Hopefully, we learn more. ..but without the societal outrage and pressure, I doubt much more will be released.
-
The facts, as they are coming out in this case, are scary. The officers heard a "loud sound", Damond approached the patrol car, and she then gets shot. Wow.

A good rule to follow is don't eat food sold in boxes.
Except for Cheez Its, right? I mean, I will lick the Cheez It box.

soooooooooooooooo snowflake.
farmers care more about livestock than preservation? is that true to all of them? i'm so glad we have you not knowing a damn thing about agriculture to chime in [but, my uncle joe has a few chickens and once had a goat (that doesn't count)].
the farmers i know care more about the conversation of this country en masse than a majority of every day americans, including the smug nancy boys driving prius'.
your prolific claim is pure ignorance. especially because eagles are terribly menacing animals that attack livestock, pets and cause a nuisance for people. maybe in your loafers up in your cul de sac country club lifestyle seeing an eagle is a nice outing on the back 9 but in every day rural america they are a pain in the ass. they are no different than a flying fox or coyote - which i shoot, as well.
nonfarmers care more about taxing cattle, removing rights from citizens and just being ignorant as can be.
But, do you run them over too?

I have the Bose Quiet Comfort 35. Better than anything I've ever owned. A bit pricey. But, comfortable, wireless, and beautiful full sound.

Where do you stand on a grown man wetting himself mid-frisk?
His game is strong. But, we already knew that about Boyst.
-
Never said I cried, only never admit to a violation. Ever.and your use of "emasculating" tells me all I need to know
You wouldn't agree that a grown man fake crying to get out of a ticket is emasculating? To each their own, I guess.
-
And no shot of beating it in court if you do not get a warning.
Not necessarily true. But, emasculating yourself to the level of fake crying does you no favors in court, either. I guess it depends on what your own pride is worth to you. Row 33 will sell it for a couple hundred bucks.
-
What does that do?
It makes you look pathetic. Stooping to ridiculous levels to get out of a ticket.
My motto: if you cry, you are getting a ticket. This is the exact reason why. You are better off admitting the violation and owning up to it. You have a fair shot at getting a warning from me when you do that.

Depends upon the jurisdiction. In some places refusal to blow (besides ending a date) will get you an automatic one-year suspension of your license.
What you're really supposed to refuse is performing the dog and pony show on the side of the road.
The moral of the story is don't drink and drive.
However, a truly good DUI defense attorney will tell you exactly what eball just said. While it isn't a dog and point show (it understandably looks like one to an untrained observer), that is the BEST defense. You are likely going to go to jail, but it severely limits the states evidence.
Regardless, you will be out several thousand dollars. Not to mention the fact that you could have seriously injured or killed yourself or someone else. So, again, the moral of the story is don't drink and drive. Uber is a wonderful thing.
Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Google it. You must have passed.
Eball knows his stuff!

Hopefully it's not a fistula. And I'm sure he's thrilled that's in the news. Nothing's sacred nowadays. Did Schefter publish his medical records online?
Actually McD made a point to tell the media the gory details in his presser today. Thought it was kind of odd, especially given the personal nature of the issue.
-
You realize that we live in an imperfect, flawed world full of imperfect, flawed beings? All I'm saying is pick your battles. Yes sir, no sir. If he still gives you a ticket, go to court like you did. Debating law roadside will get you no where, number one. Number two, make the stop memorable for the cop and he's much more likely to show up in court.
Regarding DUI and the fifth amendment (thanks for getting us back on track!), the fifth doesn't help you in refusing the breath test - otherwise, they wouldn't be able to suspend your license for merely exercising your constitutional rights. Miranda comes in to play in about 1% of my non crash DUI cases. And, your refusal to take the test certainly can and will be used against you to show a consciousness of guilt.
I wish I could take you out for a ride along and show you how things work. You might have a different opinion on some things. I might even get you to take that tin foil hat off for a few days.

... Probably trying to meet a quota. Just making BS up as he went.
I was wondering what was taking you so long in bringing up the Q word. Ever think that maybe the so called quota doesn't exist? Ever think that making yourself out to be a pompous ass might lead to you getting a citation that you might not otherwise have received? Just a thought.
Right, wrong, or indifferent...cops are not robots (yet). Egos and emotions can get entangled, and when a urinating contest happens on the side of the road, everyone looks like a fool. Someone needs to swallow their pride.
-
Two different scenarios.
How so? Being in a lane of travel or not is not an element of actual physical control in Florida's DUI statute. Passed out behind the wheel of a running car is plenty.

I feel your pain... I work swing shift and do things @ all hours, like wash the vehicles, take walks, leave the garage door up, etc... etc...
I was stopped coming home from work, midnight shift, @ 08:30... In my town a few blocks from home. I think he saw the cracked windshield running up the pillar on the passenger side & decided to make some $$$ on a ticket. I asked him if he wants me to flop the windshield down? I showed him the IL motor vehicle code on my phone... It wasn't blocking my view. Didn't matter, got a ticket anyway which I appealed, lost, but then appealed to the Chief of Police and he threw it out after I cited the code, IL Supreme Court decisions on dangly things from mirrors and police "fishing expeditions". It wasn't fun and a very stupid and unecessary appeal letter that two other government courts couldn't see past. Waste of time. I was magnanimous and offered to fix if they just wave the damn $100 fine that said I was breaking the law when I really wasn't. Why not give me a "fix it ticket" after showing the code. The officer's response was: "If you pay by this date, you can save $50." Oh well...
I am white, only get shaken down for money or hassled every couple years or so... So I got time to go all out and get sucked into the over-officious big government. I keep everything in order to the point of being OCD except that pesky straight up Jeep window that gets a chip, and then a crack every year or so.
I got stopped one time by a Smokey on way home in the morning: "Oh, I am just reading plates and didn't recognize your plate." I have Illinois-Michigan Canal plates:
http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/vehicles/license_plate_guide/illinois_mich_canal.html
I felt like saying:
"Yeah kind of an obscure plate and I would like to shoot the schit, but I am tired and want to get home to bed."
Maybe they should give them 2 hour plate recogninzing training, pretty pictures, not as hard as learning the motor vehicle code!
Just let them bleed you for the fine?
Whenever you tell this story, the video of the Maine Trooper stopping the guy that goes ballistic always runs through my head. Did you ever get stopped in Maine and get threatened to be summonsed for littering after you ripped a ticket up?
-
Did he have it in park?
Stopped in the right lane, foot on the brake, turn signal blinking. Tiger asleep with seat belt on. PC affidavit doesn't mention it being in park or not.
-
Oh... I didn't catch it, what was the reason they pulled Tiger over?
Was he swerving, speeding, going too damn slow, check point, other reason?
What do they list?
He was passed out behind the wheel in the middle of the road. Is that a good enough reason? Or was the jackbooted thug just out looking to harass poor, innocent Tiger?

Granted this is KY, but the logic follows in other places:
Sorry... I simply don't trust you to protect my self interests in these situations. You have the interests of the state @ heart in these matter, not mine.
Yeah, I'm not here to argue with you. I'm just here to impart some of my own personal expertise on the subject. I've seen what tends to work, and what doesn't work in a successful DUI defense. The main factor is the money you shell out for a high priced attorney and whether or not you get a cop that knows what he is doing. Every thing else is mostly a crapshoot. Refusing the chemical test is guaranteed to get your license taken away for a year, though.
Btw, I don't have the interests of the government at heart. That is the prosecutors job. I have the interests of every innocent family tooling down the road minding their own business, while Johnny B. Drunk is sharing the road with them. Seeing death and destruction, and notifying family members that their loved one is gone, has forged that passion in me.

So everybody understands... Only take when you know You are going to record a zero. Everything else is a chance if you have been drinking and caught driving. You aren't going home no matter what they lead You to believe.
Don't you just hate it. You think somebody is drunk, getting the evidence on people and then it's a big fat goose egg... Now, You actually gotta do some work in court to prove DUI.
Notice I said DUInfluence... Prove that influence. What ever that influence is. Give hard, empirical numbers on it too.
Anyway... Tiger knew he was NOT drinking, that is why he took the breather.
If You have been drinking and caught... Never take the test... You can roll the bones if You had one drink... But after that, I wouldn't... You aren't going home anyway, no matter what they say. Don't give the evidence! I am sure Tiger's attorney grilled him on this. Had he been drinking, even a little, I am sure he was advised to decline breath test.
Time is Your only friend and buying it helps.
Yeah, great advice. Take a license suspension for a year instead of 6 months for blowing over. Btw-I guarantee you it would take AT LEAST 4 drinks to put Tiger anywhere near a .08. Besides, breath evidence isn't even allowed in court in many Florida jurisdictions, but the refusal to take the test is. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure the video is doing a fantastic job of proving the impairment. Combined with the urine test that Tiger took, I don't think it will be a problem in court.
It seems like Tiger is owning up to his mistake, so that's a good sign. Much more respect for that.

Anybody post the dashcam vid yet:
http://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/19507764/police-release-dashcam-video-dui-arrest-tiger-woods
"Woods told police he was taking several prescriptions, including two painkillers. Police said Woods was "cooperative as much as possible" and that he agreed to take a breath test and a urine test. He blew a 0.00 in the breath test.
In a statement released Monday night, Woods had said alcohol was not a factor in his arrest, which he said stemmed from an "unexpected reaction" to prescription medication."
[EDIT: I should have glanced up the thread... Oh well... Thanx 26Corner]

The Romberg Alphabet isn't reciting it backwards. It's reciting it from a random starting to stopping point (from c to l, or from h to x, etc).
