  1. Man, looking at his highlight reel on Yahoo, this guy looks to have great size.

I also love all of the things that having a safety named KO brings to the NFL Primetime highlights!

I would second the motion to bring back the number 32 to throw on Mr Simpson :)

  2. Don't know who else heard this, but on Sirius, they just popped a sound bite of Whitner saying something to the effect of "they told me that if D'Brickashaw Ferguson wasn't there for them, then they were going to pick me so I pretty much knew that I was gonna go at number 8 for an hour or so. Bills were targeting Whitner all along?

I like what I read about him, and am looking forward to him in a Bills uni, but am slightly concerned about the spot he was taken. Not to mention, the Bills management apparently thought that he was a better pick than Huff, whom we also had a very real shot at.

  3. Let not lose sight of the fact that even though WM did well, he wasn't as good today as Atlanta's rushing tandem.  They outgained him 172 yards to 140 on the same number of carries.  Both Dunn and Duckett had higher yards per carry.  Both had longer breakaway runs.

He wasn't a bright spot in an otherwise abysmal performance,  he was a patch of adequacy.

You have GOT to be kidding me! Last time that I checked, Willis is 1 man. You cannot compare the running of two, rested backs to the performance of the "bright spot" on offense for the Bills.

95% of the time, I would think that 27 carries and 142 (?) yards equals a win. Some slightly better play from the QB and a third down stop from the D probably equals a win. To call a 142 yard performance from the RB a "patch of adequacy" is ridiculous. The Bills rushing performance is further magnified by the fact that the QB was playing so poorly that the Falcons D had to know that Willis was getting the ball!

  4. Did you see that fight in the end zone seats near the pirate ship? Wow!

BTW, the Buc's fans I sat near were great fans.

I saw the end result of it, that's all. A guy with a (was a) white shirt, that had blood all over it. I still trying to watch the game at that point, and only stood up to see what was going on after everyone else did and blocked my view. I think that was right before the safety.

I agree that most of the Bucs fans were great / knowledgeable. The one that I happened to go with, turned out to be the drunk / moronic one that everyone wants to throw overboard! At least I did...

  5. Likewise.  I went to the Jacksonville game two years ago, and I baked in the sun.

The only two Bills games that I have been to in person. The Jax game 2 years ago, and yesterday's game. Talk about a tale of two games. The Jax game was great, warm, but I didn't think it was nearly as hot as yesterday. The heat was INCREDIBLE, yesterday. Having to put up with the drunk Bucs fan that I went with just made it worse.

Not to mention that I was sitting at the end of the stadium where the was NO action. Everything happened at the other end!

Oh well. Better now than at the end of the year, when we will hopefully be contending for a playoff spot.

  6. I was looking at the Buccaneers roster, and I see that their backup free safety is Will Allen. For those of you who may not remember, Allen is the player who broke McGahee's leg in the Fiesta Bowl. Hmmm.

Broke is too light of a description.

The word that comes to mind after seeing the video is MASSACRED. Still makes me queasy...
