  1. I just watched JP's press conference on BB.com, and each time I see the man talk, he makes me so proud that he is our quarterback. The guy seems to bleed Buffalo red, white, and blue. He takes his job seriously, always looking to improve. Yet, he has a kid-like quality / naiveness (is that a word?) about him. I know that many of us were frustrated with him in the beginning, but it is awesome to see how he has grown and I can't wait to see what he grows into as a QB and person. I am pumped for the next season, already, and we haven't even had the draft! Let's get it on!!

  2. As a law enforcement officer that has made plenty a DUI arrest, I can tell you that comments made by Mr Barnes aren't unusual at all - regardless of color. Its actually pretty G rated compared to what most people wanna say. Granted, him being on a public stage in his career leads his video to be released to the public for judgement, it still should be looked at in the proper context. Impaired people say some pretty stupid things when they are put in his position. Not to mention that he obviously has a sense of entitlement because of his position in life. Add this together and you get a pretty embarrassing video that gets to be played in front of the jury. I'm actually really surprised that the video was released to the public prior to the criminal case being closed out.

If only I could post some of my in car videos for the world to see....

    <_<

  3. Who cares, the guy was driving drunk, I'd bet thousands and millions do it everyday he just got caught,

    Hmmmmmmm

    Who cares?

    1) Insurance companies

    2) Me

    3) Deltha's family

    4) Every other person that has to share the road with impaired drivers

    5) Police Officers

    6) Firefighter / Paramedics

    7) Legislators

    8) The thousands upon hundreds of thousands of victims of drunk / impaired drivers - those that have been injured, scarred, lost loved ones. :nana:

I could go on and on...

    Who doesn't care?

    1) Apparently, you

Why is impaired driving not looked at as seriously as it needs to be by so many people? What do you feel when you drive by a car crash at 3am on a Saturday night and see three yellow blankets covering dead bodies? I know what I feel, and its why I do my job...

Man, I hope he wasn't being sarcastic. If so, I got all up on my high horse for nothing! :nana:

  4. I think it was a bit of both

I Googled him to find some articles on his death. Police found no evidence of drugs or alcohol in his blood. Mental illness is probably more like it. Apparently, he rammed two cars from behind which caused police to try to stop him, causing him to flee and drive on the wrong side of the road.

Sad, but at least no other innocents were hurt seriously.

The truck driver did suffer minor injuries in the crash.

  5. You can tell Criqui is a Buffalo guy: First TD - "no flags!".

And Beuerlein (or however he spells his name) kept doubting Peerless' catch, but Criqui would come right back with a statement like "It was a touchdown! Great catch!"

    Kinda funny to listen to...

  6. "Going limp" isn't a threatening move.  You can try and justify this any way you want, but you're wrong.  There was no reason to repeatedly taser a person who is already on the ground.  You also don't get to taser someone because they don't have a student ID.  You don't get to taser someone who won't get up off the ground.

As a cop, I can most certainly answer this question. Even though my department has chosen not to issue tasers, I am very familiar with the use of force matrix that all police departments use.

Going limp is most certainly not a "threatening move", however it is considered passive physical resistance. Most departments have a policy that passive physical resistance can be dealt with by the police utilizing physical tactics, such as a taser. Most often, a simple armlock will do. Sometimes, it will not, which is when the taser gets used. Again, this depends on each departments policy, and I cannot speak for UCPD policy.

Just thought I would throw my two cents into this discussion

  7. colts = gold standard for regular season stats and early playoff exits. gold standard for not even making it to the super bowl, much less winning it.  heck people get on bills case for losing 4 straight, but a team like the manning's colts that people glorify never even been in one.

WTF are you talking about? We can not judge ANYONE in this area. When was the last freaking time that the Bills were even in the playoffs?

A team like the Colts, IMO the best franchise in the NFL right now, is where I would like the Bills to be someday. Classy from top to bottom, able to roll over opponents or beat the opponent at the opponents own game plan. Manning has to be one of the most accurate passers in history, and has true control over the huddle. It is incredibly impressive to watch, and even more frustrating to watch when he is doing it to your team. And, for you come come out with a remark like that - from a Bills fan, no less - is unbelieveably smallminded.

My frustration at the game today is being ever magnified by the idiocy of your posts tonight. Please shutup. You are giving me a headache

  8. Agreed. After watching the game, I can't think of a sack where JP just held it too long. He got to the end of his drop (if he even made it that far) and had a defender in his face. Heck, on one of the first sacks, the Colts LE ran right by Pennington, who literally put his pinky finger on the guy. Losman was down after about 2 seconds.

BAD, BAD O-line play is leading to Losman to lose the condidence that it looked like he had the first few games of the season. Get the boy a decent O-line, and I think we would be VERY pleased with his QB play. Until then, frustration will rule.

  9. he has got to be one of the most excited bills player ever, did you see him dancing and just going nuts after the flecther int, and everytime the bills made a tackle?????

    825664[/snapback]

Yeah, I saw that too. It was great to see someone that genuinely looks like he is enjoying playing on this team. Could you imagine being the fan in the stands when Hargrove comes and tries to jump in your lap (after the Fletcher TD). Wow...

  10. Judging by his reactions to those errant passes on the last possession, I believe it was mostly because of the rain. The rain really came down right after we got the onside kick, and I dont think he was ready for that. No doubt that he needs to be able to throw short passes with a wet ball, but I didn't attribute the passes that came out of his hands to a lack of confidence in his O-line.
