me, McD and Beane for sure.  so what?

You hate diva WRs who wear out their welcome, remember?

And McBeane only wanted him if they didn't have to pay him any guaranteed money.  Which is why he (thankfully) refused the trade.

forget Shakir: Coleman was a better value play.  You should be arguing for him to have gotten 160 targets.

Coleman is a wait-and-see for me.

you could ask the same of any WR who has ever played.    WRs are often open yet not actually targeted.  That’s intuitively true.  What’s the point of your question?

Some are, some aren't.  GB answers it below:

Biden was the frontman that got elected to enable the leftist that could not win to run the country from behind the curtain.

Yup.  And everyone's seen/realizes it now.  No more fooling people with a leftist in moderate sheep's clothing.  Going to be real interesting see their nomination process in 2028.

Guy seemed to have a nice exurban home despite a spotty job history. Wife made the money? Wife ready to dump him?

Or maybe had already dumped him: He seemed to be living more on the edge, renting a room in the NE suburbs (far from where his family home was) ostensibly to be close to his security work. One of those "owned his own security company" which seemed more like "worked as an independent contractor as a security guard."

His wife stopped with money, guns, ammo and passports, presumably for him.

Biden won the popular vote by a wider margin. By the same logic, most Americans thought his border policy and his spending bills were good.

The American electoral system presents you with two choices. Most people disagree with significant parts of each presidential candidates agenda (example: explain why Trump voting states also voted for abortion rights). They understand that they are choosing from flawed candidates with flawed agendas, and that's why they seem to see a do-over every two or four years. If only presidential candidates understood this and governed accordingly. But no, they always have to misread their election as a mandate to do something or other that is way too far to the extremes given where most Americans find themselves.

The difference for Biden in 2020 is we had a once-in-a-century pandemic that the MSM blamed on Trump, fewer people working, less identity verification and Biden ran as a moderate and then completely changed.

    Josh obviously thought not.

How many WRs had at least 586 snaps vs how many got over 160 targets?

Allen was clearly forcing targets Diggs's way--look what happened in Digs's yardage over his Buffalo career--all over 150 targets. 350 fewer yards.

The "everybody eats" means no one is being forced targets, but it doesn't mean an equal share.  I'm asking if Shakir was open on 60 more passing plays and Josh just went elsewhere.  Obviously the way the offense went was fine.

It's funny how Antifa is only a thing with Trump around.  It's almost like he's looking for a boogeyman by inventing something (Antifa) that doesn't actually, you know, exist.

You're saying there's no such thing as Antifa?

  9. 1 minute ago, SectionC3 said:

Sure, but we had a highly efficient and effective offense last year.  Why force 60% more targets to anyone?

Not saying "force."  Just whether there were 60 more targets to be had.

  10. 2 hours ago, GunnerBill said:

I think you are slightly talking past each other. What I think @Mr. WEO is saying is impossible is getting Shakir 160 targets. And I sort of agree with him. Could you just throw it at him 160 times to prove a point? Sure. Could you actually find 160 occasions during the season to target him in a way that is going to help the offense? No, I don't think you could. His skillset simply isn't well rounded enough to do that.

He played in 586 offensive snaps last season.  He was targeted 100 times.  Were there 60 more times he could have been targeted?

If only Trump had built on the Iran deal instead of tearing up the agreement brokered by Obama.

Because clearly, having no deal at all is working out so much better than the one we already had in place, right @sherpa?

Better than Iran definitively not having nukes (anymore)?  LOL, no.

And if regime change happens there...

  13. 43 minutes ago, The Frankish Reich said:

    Agreed.

Which is why I've never understood both of these propositions are not clearly in America's best interests:

    1. Iran is run by a theocratic regime committed to the destruction of Israel and the establishment of of new caliphate, such that allowing it to acquire a nuclear weapon is a threat to the region and, in turn, to the United States and global security.

    2. Russia is run by a dictator who has openly and repeatedly stated his desire to reconstitute - by any means necessary - the former Russian/Soviet Empire, such that contesting Russian aggression, particularly in Europe, is a threat to NATO, to the United States, and to global security.

I see no reasonable argument to the contrary, nor do I see any way to find (1) is true while denying that (2) is true.

Putin may want to reconstitute the USSR but Ukraine has shown him and the rest of the World that he has no ability to do so.

Maybe. I admit I hate mental mistakes as well. It is, as someone who has coached, the most infuriating and frustrating thing that happens in a sporting contest.

My view is lean towards the rookie until they repeat the mistake. At the point you have to pull them unless everything else they are doing is clearly outperforming the vet.

Very occasionally you miss that way. Im my soccer coaching I can immediately think of one guy I definitely pulled the plug too early on and regretted. But I can think of a ton more where my instinct was 100% correct.

Drove through LA on my way back from a funeral yesterday. If you zoom out from the three pictures of the “hellscape,” I can assure you, the only thing attacking LA at present is sunshine and horrific traffic.

Both sides of the media are posting a handful of zoomed in (literally and figuratively) photos to show the “libs torching cars” and the military “attacking” said “libs.”

Get off your couch and the internet for a while folks. The country is not burning.

Good.  Let's do what we can to keep it that way.

Id agree that we don’t know the definitive motive.

Most would also agree that it’s a bit specific to target two state senators.. then we find out they both went against their party recently on the topic of illegal immigration.

    Maybe a coincidence.

    Doubtful.
