    The protests were estimated to have drawn between 4 to 6 million.

     

    6 million / 330 million < 3.5%

     

    If you take the overly optimistic number of 6M, it's not even 2%.  Better luck next time...

    Edit:  OK, I see the disconnect here.  I'm talking about AB's short time with the Patriots as showing that McBeane weren't going to be able to keep him in line.  Not that it showed he was no longer the best WR in football.  The years that followed proved that.

    The intersting thing in this is, realistically there are 3 ways this can play out.

     

    The Iranian people seize this opportunity now that the mullahs are weakened and retake their country from them.

     

    The Iranians withstand this initial surge, either on their own or via help from Russia and China, Israel ends up significantly weakened and the whole ME ends up, somehow, even more volatile than it has been.

     

    Or, at the end of the day, the stalemate between Iran and Israel remains but Iran redoubles their efforts to get a nuke.

     

    Seriously high stake gambit Netanyahu took here.  And absolutely no idea how it'll turn out.  Really hoping it winds up the 1st option because the world get reset in a much better way if the Abraham Accords spread and Iran no longer is the key terror backer.  But could easily see it going in a different direction.  That the Iranians seem to be asking for the US to step back in and negotiate makes the "good" outcome seem at least plausible.

     

    I was watching The Five and Kennedy was saying that Israel has their own bunker busters, but not the magnitude of the US version.

    anyway, if McD and the Bills locker room could keep Diggs's behavioral deficiencies (almost) under control for 3-4 seasons, don't you think they could have gotten a solid year or 2 out of AB?  

     

    OK did a Google search and the best I could come up with was "Sounds like the meat of the AB to Buffalo trade was a 1st round pick swap, Steelers move from 20 to 9, and a late round pick or conditional middle round pick sprinkled in. That's not great return."

     

    Nothing concrete but that deal is far more palatable than giving up the 9th overall alone. The difference in value is equivalent to about the 11th pick of the 2nd round.

     

    You want to use another word than "spent"?  Fine.  Doesn't change the fact that he did little after 2019.

     

    You saw how he was with Brady and the Patriots, right?  So the answer is "no."

    No, I'm saying Beane wanted to keep the contract as is.  No redo of anything, much less giving him guaranteed money.  There were 2 years left on that contract.

    By his final year, despite essentially the same number of targets per year, Diggs's production was in free fall.  In all, the Bills paid one of the worst playoff WR1s in league history 80 million to pad his stats during the season.  2 years after a huge (2nd highest WR guarantee behind only Hill) 4 year extension, he was widely excised from the the body Buffalo, the cancer that he was...

     

    Tell me about his years following 2018.  He was spent for one reason or another.
