That's because FL opponents spend all year beating each other up. You can't judge strength of schedule based just off the win-loss record of the other teams. Most of the SEC's losses come against each other. Now, as I"m writing this FL may be making this discussion pointless. EDIT: Phew...thank god that monkey is off our backs.

This is what i said earlier, but IMO their isn't a clear cut number 2 team. Besides the one loss that all the teams will have, none of them have looked like champions in every game. Many of the top teams have looked flat out bad. FL has had the toughest schedule in the league this year. I don't like the BCS, and wish that a playoff system could be figured out, but how things are decided now I don't see another team that deserves it more than FL. As a FL fan I will flat out say that on their own merits they do not deserve to be playing for the championship. They just aren't good enough yet. But that doesn't mean I don't think that based on their SOS and how everyone else has played this year, that they don't deserve to be ranked number 2.

Well, that's much more telling. While "physical confrontation" can mean many things (maybe grabbed her arm during an argument), there isn't a time when it can be excused.

I'm just calling it like I see it. Honestly, other than Ohio I don't think there is a single team that has played well enough to justify being champions. All the talking heads are giving nods to the winner of Cal and USC, but both of those teams have looked just as bad at times as the rest of the 1 loss teams. At this point, I actually hope Rutgers does win out. While they certainly aren't championship material, I could at least root for the underdog team who played with heart all year.

I think it is definitely between Texas and FL, but with FL's schedule I think they should get it. While I am a bias FL fan, I am also a realist and wouldn't say that if I didn't believe it. FL hasn't been playing like a championship team in a lot of their games, but with the schedule they have had and the way the BCS works (I am a vocal supporter of a playoff system), I really think the nod should go to FL. Now, what happens if Rutgers wins out? As crazy as it would be, a win at WV to end the season has to put them in the top two, no?

Well, it doesn't sound too bad at this point. They didn't say arrested on assault, just harassment. I'm not really sure what falls under harassment. Maybe he was holding his finger very closer to her face and kept saying, "I'm not touching you" over and over again.

Sure you can. You start the show when it will be ready to air every week.

True, and I have no delusions of a Bills win, but there are surprises all the time. Who would have thought the dolphins would do so well against the Bears last week?

The first game I ever attended in Buffalo! Had such a great time! I believe that may also be the only game I ever went to that they won. -
Or the doctors office.

Faith Hill reaction to losing at the CMA's...
Acantha replied to LabattBlue's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Except like I said, I really think she so expected it to be her that when the name was called she thought it was hers. Watch her reaction when the name is called. Yes, she looked into the camera, but when she first did her reaction was more like ...."me?", and then it suddenly changed to "WHAT!?". And she said it and immediately moved off camera. Even before she made her statement, when I first saw it my first thought was that she was joking. But the more I see it the more I think it was real. -

I was at someone else's house and they had it on. But really it didn't seem that bad. I know nothing about that kind of dancing and it doesn't really interest me, but if I were in to it I would think the show would probably be great. Interesting to see Emmit Smith doing well. -

The thing that makes it look real to me is that right as they are about to say the name of the winner, she puts her arms up as if to say, " Yep, I won" and then when she hears the name she gets mad. But I don't know, the whole thing seemed weird. -

Seriously. What's up with the grossly tanned look people seem to be going for? I saw Dancing with the Stars for the first time yesterday and everyone looks like fried chicken. -
Cool, thanks.

That's good to hear. How about pressures? Did JP generally have space on that side? Did you notice any blitzing from that side?

I didn't get to see the game this week so I'm wondering how our new left side of the line did. All I can look at are the stats, and it appears all 5 sacks came from the right side. I expected Butler/Villareal to be weak, so that isn't surprising. So for their first game at new positions, how did they do?
-
If so it shows some pretty good preperation and adjustments by the coaches.

I didn't get to watch the game, but: The problem with that is that it forces the CB's and Safeties to be perfect. It wouldn't take much to throw some odd formations in and send different people deep to confuse the D. With one Safety deep (and a rookie at that) I think the open plays down field would kill us. I think it's aggravating enough now seeing how far off the line the CB's are. In this case it would be worse. On the other hand it would probably help the intermediate game and take away the center of the field. With the sub-par showing our CB's have shown this year so far I don't think it's a good game plan most of the time. But when your playing against Brett "Lob it as high as you can" Favre, it was probably a good move.
-
That would be a bunch of crap. Michigan is good, but they haven't had the schedule that other 1 loss teams in the SEC have had.
-
Not entirely true. I stopped watching ESPN because of these guys and the whole attitude of the channel. So I B word about them because they made me stop watching what should be good TV. The only time I watch ESPN anymore is when an actual game is on.

See, here's the thing though. You can draft any other position in the 6th or 7th round and a guy that will almost definately not amount to anything. At very best it's a complete crapshoot. Or you can draft a FB and probably get one of the top 3 guys coming out of college.
-
Is anyone saying draft a FB early in the draft? The best blocking FB coming out of college (IMO) last year didn't even get drafted (Bernstein). I was hoping they would look at him in the 6th or 7th round, but it didn't happen. Maybe next year they can look at that position as a need.

Pins....and....needles.

So it is nothing more than talent then? Yes, there are more talented players in the leauge. That has nothing to do with some mystical "it".
