  1. I didn't get a chance to see the end of the game live. Can you detail what former official said about calls? Thanks!
  2. I don't disagree on the Wallace call. And I'm also not crying,we lose, whatever still alive and just need to make the show. But that's just a poor take. It's defensive holding. It's called in far less clear situations, and the sole reason it wasn't called is because it could've decided the game. But it's still a penalty. Don't tell me that if a CB hangs on a defenders jersey and pulls it half way down his chest on 1st and 10 at the 25 with 14:55 left in the 1Q, that they aren't going to call holding. We both know they do, 100% of the time, even if there was "aggressive hand fighting" and foreplay. Edit: I think I'm being an idiot and you said it should've been called but then qualified it and we're debating over nothing but semantics at this point. Or maybe I can't read. Too many posts at once. Haha.
  3. And? At the very least it's defensive holding. He's literally holding his jersey and yanking him to the ground. Hand fighting or not...I don't see Diggs pushing off...if it's a penalty, it should be called. Next time we're called for defensive holding I'm sure there will be zero aggression from the offensive receiver. ::eyeroll::
  4. We also have to make sure our tackling is on point. Open field tackling definitely key especially with the amount of short/screen passes they throw. Hopefully the coaches focus on tackling this week.
  5. Definitely looked intentional to me. But I'm biased so...
  6. Overall, I'm not seeing a team that we simply can't beat. Yes, if we play like *****, we can and will certainly lose (see JAX and IND), but TEN has not had any issues moving the ball without Henry, Jones and Brown, arguably the biggest 3 pieces of their offense. Patriots offense is about what I expected. Ground game solid and will continue even if stuffed for a few plays, Jones dink and dunk and occasionally down field when he has a ton of time. They certainly don't seem like an offensive juggernaut - settling for 2 field goals after decent drives - something we suffer from. All in all, I haven't seen anything that "frightens" me. Certainly a winnable game if we don't lay another egg. Hope we don't!
  7. #1, as others have said, Josh was tutored by Jordan Palmer, not Carson. So basically everything you've said is wasted. #2 I didn't know I had to be a professional athlete in order to formulate my own personal opinions on quarterback play and sports. Guess I better not discuss politics because I'm not a politician. Criticize a movie?! How dare I, I'm not even an actor! #3 I appreciate you taking the time to ***** all over me when I, in fact, admitted it was a bad take that I posted because of sour grapes about 5 minutes after my initial response (2 hours before you responded). But hey, why take the time to read the entire thread, let's just go blindly attack someone with a factually inaccurate diatribe for zero reason. Sorry to have personally ruined your night Mr. Palmer.
  8. Yeah, I get it. It was a bad take, see above.
  9. I will give you the GOAT comment, I was more irked that he was shitting on tackling and some of Josh's passes, panic, etc. But you are correct, more of a NFL commentator opinion and me just having sour grapes.
  10. Exactly. And no offense to Palmer, but he's talking like he's the GOAT. Sorry Carson, but what the ***** did you ever accomplish in your general let down of a journeyman career...
  11. Super Bowl caliber - maybe? Playoff team - yes. I do think that the 13-3 record of the 2020 Bills and the Super Bowl expectations from earlier this season have swayed many of our opinions and have caused a lot of the reactions. Do we need OL help? Yes. Do we need RB help? Yes. Are we commonly dominated by physical teams? Yes. I agree with all of those criticisms and do think that they are warranted - but I also think that last year's team wasn't as good as they appeared and you're seeing a similar team to last year even though the results are different. Yes, we ended up 13-3, but...how many "quality" wins did we actually have? Week 2 - squeak out a 3 point win against the Dolphins (coin flip win); Week 3 - squander a giant lead against the Rams and need a late PI penalty and a JA pass in the closing seconds to win (lucky win due to PI call, etc.); Week 7 - 6 field goals lead to a win against a bad Jets team; Week 8 - beat Patriots because Cam fumbles near our goal line with NE tying or perhaps evening winning in final seconds (lucky win); Week 13 - beat 49ers by 10 on MNF, played a decent game, but also played against Nick Mullens and a injury decimated 49ers team. Of the 5 games that I've listed, 3 of those games could have gone the other way if luck wasn't on our side - 13-3 becomes 10-6 pretty quickly. We also all seem to remember the offense being amazing, which it was at times, but there were also games with 16, 17, 18, 24, 26 points scored that didn't exactly equate to "dominant Bills offense." So while I'm currently not happy with the team, nor their recent performances, and I definitely think that we have a lot of issues that need to be addressed, it is possible that we're seeing a very similar team to last year, but without those "lucky" type of wins. Said team made the conference championship - so I truly think that anything is possible at this point in time - as disgusted as I may be with the previous few weeks of play.
  12. Dude - you really love the "tough guy stance" line tonight, eh? This has to be the third or fourth time that I've seen you post it since we won. "Better watch out fellas, don't get too overconfident, that 'tough guy' stance will come back and bite you in the ass." Actually, no - it won't. Stop acting like the people that post on this board are players on the team and/or coaches. We're fans. Some folks may not share your incessant pessimism and would like to enjoy a blowout win after such a ***** week last week. Do you honestly think that if JoshAllen123 on TBD has an ego about the Bills and/or feels that the Pats and Mac Jones suck that his/her 'tough guy' stance will have absolutely any bearing on the future? This just in, it won't. Sports is sports - some people see the negative, some people see the positive - you repeatedly hate and call out those that have the slightest tinge of positivity - why? Their opinion means nothing in the overall scheme of things - it's an opinion. You want to be a pessimist and point out the negative - go right ahead, it's all a part of the discussion - but stop randomly slamming people for feeling good about their team and lighten up. And for the record, the ''internet tough guy act" is when someone talks a big game and makes veiled physical/mental threats to others behind a keyboard. I'm pretty sure calling the Pats a bunch of Putz' and asking what they've proven is far from being an "internet tough guy".
  13. Given our PTSD past with the Pats, I'm all about giving them respect. Even as good as we were last year, we arguably should have lost the first game when Cam fumbled. I'll respect BB until he has some consecutive poor seasons. With that being said, acting like they are the division favorites and a better team than the Bills is straight trolling. They have 6 wins. 2 against the Jets, 1 against the Texans, Browns, Chargers and Panthers. The Jets are awful. The Panthers are similar to the Broncos with a false hot start, the Texans are garbage and the Browns are wildly inconsistent (only real notable win is against the Bengals). Chargers are a quality opponent but also very hot/cold as we've seen. Now I'm not saying our wins are any better, as the quality of our opponents has been equally as poor, but to act as if they're superior to us in any way is a farce. At the vert best its an equal playing field.
  14. There's a dedicated guy in the sideline that reshaves and applies after shave after each play.
  15. Love that he's a rookie too. Absolutely immense potential.
  16. There's literally a guy grabbing and holding the back of Hughes jersey when he beat his man. No call. But phantom defensive holding, sure.
  17. I agree with this take. Think the second half at Miami gave them a false sense of security and today damn well better have opened their eyes. Too much Sportscenter, Good Morning Football, Power Rankings and Vegas Odds. You can say that they're professionals, and they, themselves, can say that they don't pay attention to that *****, but they do. They bought the hype. They thought Jax would lay down. They didn't. When you're being thrust into the limelight by the media hype machine, every team is going to take their best shot at you every single week. They aren't America's little brother, the Underdogs, any more. Better learn that lesson and not forget it. We shall see...
  18. You're right. Screw any positivity if some of us want to feel that way or even look for it. The only way to view this loss is the way YOU want us too. Let's ***** on Allen and set the rest of the house on ablaze when there's only a fire in the kitchen. For all the haters that ***** on positive posters for "not allowing them to criticize the team", you guys do the same exact freaking thing when people try to brighten the day of others by attempting to find positives in a loss while this entire site burns down. And for the record, I'm extremely upset by this loss. More than I should be. But the personal attacks on posts and opinions is getting ridiculous.
  19. I was thinking the same thing, but to be honest, I don't think Allen has had enough time to let Diggs even complete his routes.
  20. This is an EJ Manuel game. Big hands. Wouldn't have any trouble handling these snaps.
