  1. If he starts and the Bills win with an incredible display of Defense, or by some fluky ST type deal (like a couple return TD's) or Brady is knocked out of the game, then I'd say great job filling in. If he truly plays impressively and the Bills win a shootout with Tom Brady, I would at least pencil him in as my starter for 2014. The bad news is, this will not happen.

Stranger things have happened....it is possible!!!

Either way though, I believe the job is EJ's even if Thad goes out and throws for 400 yards and 4 td's. One game does not a starter make. (see Rob Johnson)

With that said, I would not be at all surprised to see the Bills go QB with their first pick, if one of the studs is there for the taking....Heck the Redskins did it with RG3 and Cousins, and look how gorgeously that has worked out for them!!

  2. I say no for several reasons. 1)He's at this present moment the best receiver on our roster. Woods, Goodwin, and heck even Graham have more upside and potential, but at the current moment in time, my opinion is that he's still the best receiver we have. 2)He does provide veteran leadership in the locker room, and can also serve as a mentor to the younger WR's. His silly antics aside, he's still considered by many a pretty good guy....I was frustrated with him more than most after his fumble at the Atlanta game, but I'd still take him on my team.

  3. So, earlier today, at work, we had on sports-talk radio...I was only kind of half listening. They were talking about the upcoming game between the Broncos and Patriots...and the "rivalry" between Manning and Brady. It will be the 14th time their respective teams have faces one another....I believe Brady teams have a 9-4 edge over Manning teams.

They want on to say, I thought, that Dan Marino and Jim Kelly teams faced each-other more times than any other rival QB's. I was thinking that couldn't be right...but am not sure how to research it and get any definitive answer. Anyone? The more I thought about it, it makes sense...two HOF QB's in the same division, for the entirety of their dual careers.

Now, I do know, if Kelly/Marino is the most frequent QB match-up in NFL history, it is nice to know, Kelly's Dolphins holds a 16-6 edge over Marino's Dolphins. The regular season, Kelly's Bills were 13-6 over the Dolphins, and 3-0 in playoffs. Kelly missed one start against the Dolphins (a Frank Reich led victory for the good guys), while Marino missed two games (Bills walloped Dolpins in Scott Mithcell start, but then beat the Bills, in Kellys' final game against the fish, led by Craig Ericson)

Lot of great games in that rivalry...

Kelly's Dolphins? How dare you blaspheme like that!!!!!
