  1. Dave I can appreciate your response and your point of view.I love the Bills but I just don't think they are in a place right now to beat the big three left on the schedule. As far as the thick skin goes I just cant stand people who don't agree with someone else's opinion and they have to go right to the personal attack card.Writers in any sports page in North America would be predicting the Bills to get hammered in Denver but somehow that makes someone a troll here.I just think a lot of these posters are fanboys and aren't ready to be realistic.

Big fan of the Audi series, currently A8

I was just messing with you on asking what kind of car you drive. It's an old joke around these parts.

You're not alone, even on this message board, in thinking that we could very well lose the games against the Broncos, Packers, and Patriots. The majority of us on here are realists, and know that our current team, although improved from past years, has enough shortcomings to lose those games. But why don't we get past the Browns game first? And second, you HAVE to know that your name "Very Wide Right", doesn't sit well with alot of us on here. It in fact indicates that you're not a Bills fan at all. So to come on here, with the Browns game being the next game on our schedule, and tell us how we're gonna get hammered by the Broncs, Pack and Pats, screams "troll" status. We're not giving you crap for your opinions, it's a combination of things that has ruffled feathers and made people probably not want to invite you to their company Christmas party.

  2. I'm thankful for:

Terry and Kim Pegula. It's so relieving to know our Bills aren't going anywhere, and that this organization has attained the stability it needs to attract better coaching, better players.

Jim Schwartz. When Pettine left, I was both surprised and disappointed. Schwartz came in and has made a difference. This defense is LEGIT! May the Schwartz be with you!!!

Players attitudes. It seems as if the players have adopted a different attitude, and that they care about winning and losing, and are committed to winning.

Detroit Lions. Thank you for the W earlier in the year, and thank you for being so hospitable towards us when we came in to your stadium, and making it seem like a home game.

My fellow TBDers. You guys truly provide us all with informative, educated, hilarious, witty, and great posts, and I appreciate all of you, even the ones who exist only to piss us off. I love all of you, and wish you all a happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all get to enjoy time with your loved ones and eat a good meal!!

  3. The Jets victory was nice for padding stats and thats all.Put up this score against Denver,New England or Green bay and we will know the Bills have taken a step.

I think this victory was more than just padding stats. This indeed was a complete, solid, and well-deserved victory. Given the circumstances, the lack of practice time, the having to play a home game away from the confines of the Ralph, MANY of us would have just been happy with a W, and I would even go as far as to say that many would have at the very least understood a loss.

We dominated this game in every aspect. Offense, defense, and special teams. The Bills finally got the "step on their necks" mentality and when they got up, they didn't let off the gas and slammed every nail in the Jets coffin. The Jets, as bad as they are this year, are still an NFL football team, and no game is a gimme. So with that said, there is alot positive to take away from this game and build on. We were supposed to beat the Jets, and we did that, in excellent fashion.

I am very much looking forward to the game Sunday, and I fully expect the Bills to beat Cleveland. And it is because of that Monday night showing that I feel as confident as I do about a Bills victory.

  4. Can't use quotes on here for some reason, but yeah, Whitner could use a baby ruth shower. Then replace the W in his name with an S, and there ya go Donte, new nickname and better fitting. Yeah, I hope Pettine gets a lot of love from the crowd when he comes out. Can't say anything but good things about the guy

Hey, are you using Internet Explorer? I couldn't quote people on IE, and I switched to Google Chrome, and that was the only thing that worked for me..

  5. I know he tried to single - handedly give the game away to the Falcons Sunday. I watched that game and if it weren't for Mike Smith being a horrible clock manager, the Browns would have lost that game. Those last two interceptions Hoyer threw were so bad, I wouldn't even have expected Losman or Edwards to have thrown.

He did have some nice throws, and his composure under pressure was impressive.

I fully expect the D to give him fits Sunday.

  6. He's never going to play in the NFL again. One instance ruined his entire career. He's not good enough anymore for teams to bring on that type of distraction. Sort of like Incognito, he was never that great and had a career of being an idiot.

Adrian Peterson will probably have a bidding war.

Agree. AP will command a very handsome salary. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Bills uni, although don't know if we're willing to pay as much as he thinks he should get.

  7. First of all, Ray Rice would not be upgrade in ant way over the current crop of Bills backs—I know, a few may not be here, but he is juts not the good anymore. Second, I don't think that Terry or KIM Pegula will want that PR nightmare and side show as a part of the new-look Buffalo Bills. Who would?

I'm not sure about that statement. I would take Rice over Brown and Dixon in a second. CJ can never stay healthy, and hasn't shown he can make it through a full season as an every down back. I love Fred as much as we all do, but I think it's safe to say he's on the downside of his career, no matter how ageless he proves to be. Rice is still relatively young in that regard. A poster did mention that he's had 800 carries in two seasons, and THAT'S definitely something of concern, but I think he can still be productive in the NFL.

Football aside, watching the video is absolutely mind-blowing. To knock out your wife, girlfriend, female friend, heck female period like that is to me, inexcusable. I'm in no way perfect, but damn to see that is one of those things you just can't forget. And then to have complete disregard for her well-being afterward makes him even more of a complete d-bag. To me that is even more disturbing than the fact that he knocked her out!! Guys, can you imagine if that was YOUR sister, YOUR daughter? I couldn't believe my eyes.

I think that getting suspended for the season was appropriate. I do think he should be allowed to play in the NFL again, but I would not want him as a Bill, just for the simple fact I know what he did, and no matter what words his publicist types up for him, the bottom line is HE DID NOT CARE one bit for his wife's safety, and probably still doesn't. He's probably just mad that the video got aired. There are people that say, "oh he was forthcoming", but what choice did he have? He knew that he was on video and it was going to get out sooner than later.

And to think, people wanted to kill Mike Vick and publicly execute him for what he did to dogs. If he in fact did electrocute dogs, then that is pretty inhumane and effed up, but I don't think it even compares to seeing a guy straight Mayweather his girlfriend and then looks down at her limp, motionless body and doesn't even bat an eyelash.

  8. This is new ownership and most top head coaches understand a wholesale change after the team changes hands..

We will see..........I will be happy either way.......

Me too, provided we finish 8-8 or better. I would be good with Marrone being given one more season. I would also be happy with a coaching change, because I feel like with the Bills organization, under new leadership, with much more stability in place, will be a much more appealing job, so I think in turn that will land us a much better HC choice.

  9. I'd love to know what good ol Terry is up to. As vastly improved as I believe our defense is, it's hard to argue that we are anything more than average right now. With wins against the Browns and Raiders, and what right now is logical to say would be losses to the Broncos, Pack and Patriots, I think Marrone still sticks around. A two game improvement I think merits him one more season. From everything I've heard about the Pegula's, that would be my guess. I think if we somehow manage to lose out, then I think Marrone is shown the door, but heck I wouldn't be surprised if he was still retained, with the stipulation he fire Hackett.

  10. Ha ha ha. This is a great post.

I think the Bills win this one...that way they keep our small playoff hopes alive a bit longer...so it will be even more painful when it doesn't come good at the end.

I hate that I agree with you.....but that is usually what the Bills do to us. I don't know why I keep thinking about the year all we had to do was beat the Steelers third stringers to get in, and you know the rest.

I firmly believe that the Patriots are dialed in and could very well clinch homefield by the time we play them. If somehow we can get past the Broncos and Packers, man that will shape up to be an unbelievable season finale. In essence, that WILL be our playoff game.

I guess let's start with Cleveland on Sunday and go from there....like a previous poster stated, even though our playoff chances at this point are slim, very slim, it will feel good to watch a game in December that means something....

  11. Back home in Ralph Wilson Stadium, coming off of an IMPRESSIVE beatdown of the Jets, the crowd will be absolutely bananas. We're still in the playoff hunt. There is no reason for the Bills to come out and do anything less than give it 100 percent. Falling flat is not an option at this point in the season. I think for the first time in a while, the Bills come out and do EXACTLY what they're supposed to do, with no let downs. If Hoyer can throw three picks against a pretty bad Falcons defense, I completely expect our D to make his life a living hell. I wouldn't be surprised to see Johnny Football in before the game is over. I expect Sammy to bounce back with a monster game, and Fred Jackson to be, well, Fred Jackson. Even Orton throws for over 300 yards. This will be a Bills absolute destruction.
