  1. Same here  Who has Gruden groomed into a top QB?

Somehow I feel Chip Kelly or Pete Carroll would find a way to make this kid a good NFL player. Besides, some players take longer then 3-4 years to fully develop. I read somewhere where they said he has the "yips". Good coaching, with a good line, run game, and good surrounding cast can make a world of difference.

I believe that was Cooley in his critisicm of RGIII's play. I also believe that it may be premature to close the book on him so soon. But I really think he's going to need to add about 15-20 pounds onto that narrow physique of his. His style of play is going to subject him to a ton of hits, and that tiny frame of his isn't going to last long enough for him to develop if he keeps taking a pounding like he does.

  2. I know that Goodwin has had enough injuries to make even the casual Bills fan question his durability, but then throwing Mike Williams to the mix, I am still befuddled at their lack of playing time. I'm sorry, but I just can't understand why or what they've done to validate the reason for them being healthy scratches, Williams in particular.

  3. Yet we average 4.6ypc on 1st down. Far better than 2nd and 3rd down. Fascinating isn't it?

I'm not a statistician like some of our refined members on our board are, but damn that is extremely surprising. With that said though, I'm very nervous about Sunday's game in the sense that Pettine will be prepared for a great many plays we run. I think adjustments will be the key, and I predict that at the half we will go in with a lead. The second half, when adjustments need to be made, will decide the game. I don't think this will be a blowout at all, and the team that makes the adjustments will be victorious.

  4. You can use this and plug in all the scenarios.

I know that usually 10-6 in majority of the cases gets you in, but the sad thing is, with the competitiveness of the AFC this year, I'm willing to bet that there could end up being an 11-5 team that misses out on the playoffs. Weren't the Patriots the last team to finish 11-5 and not get in? Was that the year Brady tore his ACL and Cassel filled in?

  5. LOL on the christmas party.Very wide right is right as in right wing politics.I'm a staunch Conservative.Has nothing to do with Norwood, that sucked I was there. That was the Bills superbowl to lose and they did and it was terrible.

Damn that must've been awesome to have been at the Super Bowl, let alone to cheer for your favorite team. That's one of the things on my bucket list, go to the Super Bowl. It would just be a dream come true to be there, but then to be able to root for the Bills, that's something to cherish for a lifetime.

  6. Hell, if you've seen him, he could probably play as a rotational guy still. For GB though, I'd love to see JK, Bruuce, Thumonator, Shane Conlan, and DT come out together in a wall.

    Now that would be awesome.

Then Coach Marv, gets on the mic, and says to the team, the famous:

"WHERE WOULD YOU WANT BE MEN, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!!!!"

    GO BILLS!!!!!!

Man, if that happened, I think the entire stadium would simultaneously combust, me included. Ka-boom!

  7. That's a great question. Without pulling up numbers, scenarios and tiebreakers, I'd have to believe that 7-5 in the conference, tiebreakers not even put into play, we'd probably still be on the outside looking in. It just feels like too much would need to happen to get us in. Just by how competitive the AFC is this year is so freakin annoying. Most years, 10-6, with a 7-5 conference record would USUALLY be enough to get in wouldn't it?

  8. Dave I can appreciate your response and your point of view.I love the Bills but I just don't think they are in a place right now to beat the big three left on the schedule. As far as the thick skin goes I just cant stand people who don't agree with someone else's opinion and they have to go right to the personal attack card.Writers in any sports page in North America would be predicting the Bills to get hammered in Denver but somehow that makes someone a troll here.I just think a lot of these posters are fanboys and aren't ready to be realistic.

Big fan of the Audi series, currently A8

I was just messing with you on asking what kind of car you drive. It's an old joke around these parts.

You're not alone, even on this message board, in thinking that we could very well lose the games against the Broncos, Packers, and Patriots. The majority of us on here are realists, and know that our current team, although improved from past years, has enough shortcomings to lose those games. But why don't we get past the Browns game first? And second, you HAVE to know that your name "Very Wide Right", doesn't sit well with alot of us on here. It in fact indicates that you're not a Bills fan at all. So to come on here, with the Browns game being the next game on our schedule, and tell us how we're gonna get hammered by the Broncs, Pack and Pats, screams "troll" status. We're not giving you crap for your opinions, it's a combination of things that has ruffled feathers and made people probably not want to invite you to their company Christmas party.

  9. I'm thankful for:

Terry and Kim Pegula. It's so relieving to know our Bills aren't going anywhere, and that this organization has attained the stability it needs to attract better coaching, better players.

Jim Schwartz. When Pettine left, I was both surprised and disappointed. Schwartz came in and has made a difference. This defense is LEGIT! May the Schwartz be with you!!!

Players attitudes. It seems as if the players have adopted a different attitude, and that they care about winning and losing, and are committed to winning.

Detroit Lions. Thank you for the W earlier in the year, and thank you for being so hospitable towards us when we came in to your stadium, and making it seem like a home game.

My fellow TBDers. You guys truly provide us all with informative, educated, hilarious, witty, and great posts, and I appreciate all of you, even the ones who exist only to piss us off. I love all of you, and wish you all a happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all get to enjoy time with your loved ones and eat a good meal!!

  10. The Jets victory was nice for padding stats and thats all.Put up this score against Denver,New England or Green bay and we will know the Bills have taken a step.

I think this victory was more than just padding stats. This indeed was a complete, solid, and well-deserved victory. Given the circumstances, the lack of practice time, the having to play a home game away from the confines of the Ralph, MANY of us would have just been happy with a W, and I would even go as far as to say that many would have at the very least understood a loss.

We dominated this game in every aspect. Offense, defense, and special teams. The Bills finally got the "step on their necks" mentality and when they got up, they didn't let off the gas and slammed every nail in the Jets coffin. The Jets, as bad as they are this year, are still an NFL football team, and no game is a gimme. So with that said, there is alot positive to take away from this game and build on. We were supposed to beat the Jets, and we did that, in excellent fashion.

I am very much looking forward to the game Sunday, and I fully expect the Bills to beat Cleveland. And it is because of that Monday night showing that I feel as confident as I do about a Bills victory.

  11. Can't use quotes on here for some reason, but yeah, Whitner could use a baby ruth shower. Then replace the W in his name with an S, and there ya go Donte, new nickname and better fitting. Yeah, I hope Pettine gets a lot of love from the crowd when he comes out. Can't say anything but good things about the guy

Hey, are you using Internet Explorer? I couldn't quote people on IE, and I switched to Google Chrome, and that was the only thing that worked for me..

  12. I know he tried to single - handedly give the game away to the Falcons Sunday. I watched that game and if it weren't for Mike Smith being a horrible clock manager, the Browns would have lost that game. Those last two interceptions Hoyer threw were so bad, I wouldn't even have expected Losman or Edwards to have thrown.

He did have some nice throws, and his composure under pressure was impressive.

I fully expect the D to give him fits Sunday.

  13. He's never going to play in the NFL again. One instance ruined his entire career. He's not good enough anymore for teams to bring on that type of distraction. Sort of like Incognito, he was never that great and had a career of being an idiot.

Adrian Peterson will probably have a bidding war.

Agree. AP will command a very handsome salary. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Bills uni, although don't know if we're willing to pay as much as he thinks he should get.
