  1. I'm 25 and I think that you stole this rant from me, word for word. You missed one thing though, the idiots who leave the damn size sticker on the outside of their fitted hats.
  2. The ending of "Scott Tenorman must die" is way up there on my list. The second Tom Cruise walked into Stan's closet is up there too.
  3. It seems strange that he calls out Buffalo fans for not giving Donahoe and credit, even after you gave him some credit in your question. For the most part, it seems like the fans have moved on from this whole deal. I wish Mort would do the same.
  4. There's a similar idiot at the bar I watch the games each week. He's not calling for Holcomb, but every single time JP drops back to pass, the guy starts screaming "GET RID OF THE BALL!" before Losman has even finished dropping back. I don't know what this guy expects, but even our receivers can't get very far down the field in 1 second.
  5. It would be legal if he kept the stick a bit lower. They'd have to call a high stick if anyone did it exactly like he did. A very similar thing happened at BU last week. They had a midnight practice to open the season. In their shootout, one of the players tried the lacrosse thing. He lost control at the end, but it's definitely shocking to see that for the first time.
  6. I don't remember exactly where the ball went, but Lindel did lob one out there against them too. It stood out to me because I hadn't ever remembered seeing a fair catch on a kickoff before that (other than the accidental ones in madden).
  7. I'm trying to decide whether or not it was a good thing that you finished that beer.
  8. The Bills used this same exact kickoff during the Miami game. The Dolphin blocker signaled a fair catch and caught the ball. I doubt they're watching tape, but the play was already out there of the refs to be aware of.
  9. Well he did label JP as a bust before he had even started a single game. He has to back that up somehow.
  10. I saw this link on another board. I guess Carolina is their top game, but it's pretty scattered.
  11. I sat behind a women's hockey team at a Sabres game a few years back. I'd say I was 19 or 20. Luckily they were far better looking than what you just described. Anyway, after a few beers, 4 of them started lezing out (this phrase needs to be used more often). The smile on my dad's face was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my entire life.
  12. This reminded me of something we would do when I was growing up. My next door neighbors had a reputation for being the worst drivers in the town. Every car they ownerd over the years had very noticeable dents. I played hockey in our driveway all the time with my brother and some other neighbors. Anytime these people came driving down the street, "Look out, it's the (insert last name here)!" and we'd dive into the grass. They lived one house up the street from us, so they never actually drove past our driveway... but better safe than sorry.
  13. More importantly, she will not date an excessive drinker. It seems like it would take an incredible amount of alcohol for anyone to even consider dating her.
  14. For some reason, all I can think about while reading those njsue rants is the whole Tom Cruise, psychiatry is fake thing from last year. Good lord she has some twisted views... well, that and the fact that she's a complete idiot. Oh, and she must have been around this board before I found this place. I'm glad I missed out on those days.
  15. Never happened.
  16. The show never had any other hosts. My favorite shows right now would have to be 24, Boston Legal, and My Name is Earl. Denny Crane and Randy are my favorite characters out there.
  17. I'm with you on that one. The blame is with the Red Sox on that one. Feel free to start stoning anyone around here in Boston who uses that phrase. Things will be so much better without them.
  18. I pray that he's being sarcastic when he said that. There's no football knowledge coming out of anyone in that thread.
  19. It sounds like the subjects in that study had some fun.
  20. I remember reading some stuff out of Detroit before the lockout ended saying that they were considering adding black to the Red Wings jerseys when the new reebok jersey is released. In reebok's minds, nothing in this league is untouchable.
  21. How could they make a commercial with Vermeil and not end it with him crying?
  22. I think more of the blame goes reebok's way. I'm sure they were the driving force in this change. Just look at the practice jerseys they introduced last year. They have the same exact stripe pattern on the sides as these new jerseys do.
  23. This actually makes perfect sense to me now. Those jerseys do look like they would go along with some of the tighter fitting crap pictures I saw in the past season. I guess Quinn was just too lazy to bother correcting things once the new style was pushed back. edit: The more I think about it, I think the blame falls on the shoulders of Reebok. The new style jersey was originally supposed to be out this season. The Sabres and Ducks both have new jerseys this year, and neither has a traditional crest like you'd find on any other jersey. Sure, you may not like some other jerseys around the league, but each one has a logo that fits what you would consider to be a crest. This can't be a coincidence. Reebok was calling the shots on these new jerseys. I fear for the future of the NHL.
  24. You'd think the sabres website would actually have a picture of both jerseys somewhere. That website is even worse than the white jerseys.
  25. I was going to say the same thing, but with the huge number of bandwagoners around here, I don't even want to call them fans. Hell, my roommate is originally from San Diego but he tries to pass himself off as a Pats fan.
