Nice assumption there. Personally, I don't trust them. I've seen cabbies demand a larger tip when the fare came out to 6 and change and I gave them a 10. Most of them, from my experience, are money gougers. Obviously that doesn't excuse the actions of the Kanes, but I think it's pretty clear that the story was exaggerated a bit. They always are.

Not that it changes anything, but I guarantee that the cabbie made that part up. They paid him and then he didn't offer them any change at all (yeah, that whole extra dollar, big deal), then it got ugly. Those cabbies just assume they're keepign the money the second you hand it to them. He created that little detail about the 20 cents so they'd look even worse than they already do.

Yeah, I'm not even sure how many changes they've made over the years, but the removable plates was the best improvement they could've made. It's such a simple idea, but the guy who thought it up better have received a ton of money for it.

Yeah, I can tell from the ads I've seen on tv. But really, time traveling in a chick flick? It just comes off as incredibly stupid to me. If anything, they're at best stuff I'll wait to see on tv. Nothing has caught my eye recently. Public Enemies was the only one I was even considering at any point (and probably because of your thread).

That may be one of the most mindnumbingly stupid sentences I've ever read. I'd except something like that from a random sci-fi thriller movie, but not a chick flick. I'm sure they're trying to lure a few guys in, but they'll see right through it. This will make two months in a row where I don't see any movies.

They take this stuff away at the security check long before the people get on the flights. It's only going to serve as a distraction if they have to call someone in to take the item over to some special area.

Is that use of axe really that widespread? I'm exposed to horrible english daily on my subway ride to and from work, but I don't really hear that one very often. The one that drives me crazy more than anything else (well, other than people who use "like" or drop f-bombs every other word) is the butchering of "seen".

So if they just fly off and disappear, how can they say that affected bees have certain pathogens in them? Do they just test any bees from the colony that stick around? Anyway, it's almost looks like a case where the bees get fed up and say "screw it, I'm out of here". It would be kind of funny (obviously not for the bee keepers) if that was the case, or even possible.

I don't know why, but even though I really can't relate to the problem, threads like this one are always very interesting.
