Updated Beasley signing to practice squad
DrDawkinstein replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
2 of those fell short of picking up the 1st down and got him chewed out by Brady. 1 picked up a crucial 4th down tho. But again, we just need guys who can catch. Dont need YAC. -

I dont think Beane messed up the WR room. How could he know after last year and the KC game that Davis would regress so badly, and that Crowder would break an ankle? This is a move due to the players not developing and doing their part. -

They released him to put him back on the Practice Squad and Bease said "You cant fire me, I quit!" only after he was already released. So he is free and clear. -

If he makes ONE catch, hes better than McK. Low bar. -

At this point, just to literally catch the ball and fall down for any positive yardage on the play. Dont even need YAC to improve. -

And for the fact that a paycheck with state tax taken out is better than no paycheck at all. -

Almost all of them 1st Down conversions. He was quickly becoming an answer. -

Yeah he was really a nice surprise in the beginning of the year. Averaging just over 9yds/catch IIRC. Was consistent and a safe option. And trustworthy on returns. He was a huge loss. Much bigger than he got credit for. -

And word from Sal and the WGR guys is Allen had been pushing for Brown and Bease to be re-signed, and after Sunday pretty much demanded it, and McBeane couldnt argue anymore. Dude needs help, and he isnt getting it from anyone but Diggs. Still crazy to me how little we use Shakir and Hines, but whatever works. -

I guess between this and the Cowboys dusting off TY Hilton, OBJ isnt coming back this year or maybe ever. He needs to be ready to play Saturday, which is basically a mini playoff game. -

Desperate times call for desperate measures. If Cole can actually catch the ball, he's an immediate upgrade, even with 0 YAC. Sad that we are to this point with McK's inconsistency and the refusal to use Shakir. But a sure-handed possession WR can help us in the snow Saturday, so LETS GO! -
Christian Wilkins - the Bill has come due.

I didnt realize Crowder had a chance of returning this year. When would he be expected back? From a list of: Crowder Brown Beasley McKenzie I'm taking Crowder, easily, every time. -

Wilkins is good. Their best player on D by far. Bills interior better be ready to get after it. -
Orlovsky: Bills aren't as talented offensively as we thought
DrDawkinstein replied to Billz4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
Speaking of the Chiefs, lets check in on how their fans are doing... Ah yes, so same as Bills fans. Everyone take a breath. Bills have work to do and room for improvement, but no one is really happy with their team right now. Except maybe Eagle fans, but Im not sure they are ever really happy. -
I liked Deion as a player. Not sure about off-field/mentor I would send my kid to play for. BUT, being in recruiting territory of CA and Texas is huge, and he should be able to snag a few mid-top guys from those areas that would have previously otherwise gone to Boise St, San Diego, Fresno St, Utah, etc. While I'm not rooting for him to fail, I do think this ends up blowing up on him. We'll see.

A not so great update... https://247sports.com/college/mississippi-state/board/59413/Contents/probably-our-final-update--200271795/?page=1 -
I think we could see a Standing Buffalo helmet since that isnt a new helmet, just a different decal on the white helmet. The Red Helmet 90s throwback might be next year. Hopefully after a Super Bowl victory.

Big disagree that "most of the kids have zero interest in college". At least half of them are there for school. Force them to decide between school (which they would now have to pay for since no more scholarships), or a Dev league they are most likely not making it out of... seems more like Lose-Lose.
