  1. bottom line is the people mocking him today wouldn't be doing it if the Bills were a winning franchise...they would view him as "wise and shrewd"...funny how the media spins things, eh?

Excellent point. If that were Kraft, it would give us, and others, reason for pause. Do you realize Bob Kraft wasn't even present at the meetings yesterday. His son was. Someone he trusted. RW should have that "someone".

  2. HES 87 YEARS OLD!! What do you guys expect???

I respect the man for keeping the team here.  He has made mistakes, Polian was a big one, but Im talking about Ralph Wilson as a man.  I respect him and every Bills fan should also.

WE DO!! IT DOESN"T MEAN HE'S CAPABLE ANYMORE!

  3. Amen.  With age, comes wisdom.

I think it's actually refreshing to hear an honest, candid response like the one Ralph uttered.  RW has been a very successful businessman for a very long time - I doubt that he got where he is by making hurried decisions.

Too bad some folks confuse self-deprication and wry humor with dementia - Ralph may just be the smartest guy in that room.

Unfortunately, perception is reality. Unless you're a Bills fan apparently.

  4. And I'm not one of the older posters on this board, I just have respect for people who are older and believe that some can still function in society

Good for you. The boyscouts are looking for guys like you. Now, I respect the man too. He is and should be commended for his fine work with the Bills. But there comes a time when you should appoint someone, I don't know who, but someone you can trust to represent your organization who is not only intelligent, but sharp enough to keep up with your colleagues in such operations as this CBA. That is not to cast aside RW. But the organization could use sharper representation. I'm not going to pretend that the other 31 owners are any sharper or come across as geniuses, but I feel I can comment on our owner. An owner that I do respect. I felt very embarrassed for him. That's all.

  5. I see your point in a way because I'll admit I bashed TD but he did a solid job on the business front and made several good moves (he fleeced the Falcons out of a #1 for Peerless and then used it on McGahee, he actually got a 3rd round pick for Henry which will be a top 3 pick in round 3 in this years Draft)...however the way the Bills are structured Marv will only be responsible for the football side as in overseeing the Draft and free agency...the Bills have some solid people in the organization to help Marv out because at his age - he will need help!

All this proves is TD was a good sheister, but a lousy GM.

  6. with Jack Lemmon inserts on Ralph not understanding.....and that he is a dropout.

Now someone is getting fired at Mike & Mike for doing it.....they blame Scott.

    :)

WEEI is having fun at RW's expense as well. Everyone will jump on it. Mike & Mike suck. They're the Romper Room of sports talk radio.

  7. Well I believe Reed could be good. Evidently Mularkey (the Phins new OC) saw enough from him here to believe that too, or else they wouldn't be looking at him.

If that's what Mikey likes, let Mikey have him. Is he going to turn into Chris Carter all of a sudden? I think not. Let the fish have him. I'd rather he be good for them than suck with us. So long, Josh. :)

  8. As with any of these guys, selecting a QB in the top 10 is so risky. Such a high profile position with so much uncertainty attached to it. I know we're slotted to select #8, but to be honest, we're selecting 4th or 5th. In other words, if we had the #1 pick, I wouldn't draft any 3 of the QBs or Bush for that matter. It is the "need" of the teams drafting before us that makes me say this. Thank goodness the need for QBs is great. It also helps our cause that these 4 prospects are being touted as highly as they are.

Houston, if they keep their pick and select Bush, do so more out of obligation to taking the best player as opposed to selecting what they really need, IMO. They should be all over Ferguson.

The Jets, Saints and Titans with apparent QB issues seem poised to get their QB. This allows the Bills to select from a pool of players that will useful to us now. It is the misfortune and/or need of the other clubs that benefit the Bills in this draft, 1st round inparticular.

Who knows how this shakes out, I believe a trade may take place before we select. We'll see. Having said this, the one player I see dropping is VY. I can see where he may fall to 9 or 10.

In order of desire....get me Brick....Mario......Davis. Unless we move up, they'll all be gone, IMO.

  9. His medical status is to be determined - by any interested team - there are varied reports about his recovery out here.

Well I'm having surgery on Tuesday for my torn labrum, so I'll have first hand experience of what he's going through, from everything I've researched though it seems like he should be 100% come late July (the labrum is cartilage not a muscle) although he did have some slight rotator cuff damage.

Good luck. Hope all goes well.
