  1. What does that have to do with anything? Of course you don't know the players personally. Are you going to sit there and tell me that any of these guys have personalities that MOST Bills fans want to embrace. Step back for once in your life and take a real look at this team.
  2. I believe that the players that the Bills have on their team are about as disconnected to this city as I can ever remember. Take a look at our "star" players and and the attitudes they hold. Spikes WAS the one guy who I thought could bring this team together but who even knows if he will ever be the same player (mentally and physically). Losman has not even convinced me that he is starting QB in this league. McGahee (and enough with the top 5 in yards talk) represents the Bills as much as Rob Johnson did when he was here. The only guy that I see maximum effort from every week is Donte Whitner Until there is a serious attitude adjustment with these guys (coach included) they will continue to swim with the rest of the garbage in the bottom 5 of the NFL. Until that happens, I will be more than happy to put my $$ where you get every damn cent worth down at the HSBC. If the Bills were 0-6 but showed tremendous effort every week, I would not even be writing this right now. I have sat through many a crappy season as a season ticket holder and never felt so far from this team as I have the past year and a half.
  3. I would have loved to hear what went on in that locker room during halftime last night. During an interview with Urlacher, he said it was not pretty at all and nothing that could be repeated. He also went on to say that "Coach Smith would not let them give up and losing this game - it was not an option" You can't tell me having a coach with some fire would not do wonders for this half ass bunch we have here. Some fires need to be lit and obviously the players are not taking that into their own hands. How can fans try and relate to this team when there is such little emotion week in and week out.
  4. What the hell is so surprising about this??? The Bills suck and and I (as a fan) am trying to cling on to something. Imagine what people outside of Buffalo think. They are regarded as a total team of garbage.
  5. How about one of 50 that got away over the course of the last 6 years - gimme a break - this team has nothing...............How can people actually buy jersey right now? What name would you actually want on your back! - besides Whitner
  6. First topic of the day on Shopp and Bulldog - NO HEART ON THIS TEAM -EXACTLY!!
  7. I have chosen not to post anything until now due to the fact that I really don't give a crap and have accepted the fact that this team has got more holes and has absolutely no heart (coaches included). After reading a lot of the posts, I agree with a lot of the people venting and just because some of you "true believers" out there search for anything to justify this team, the people that are just plain fed up have every right to say so. This team continues to play down to the competition and is not showing any signs of improvement. Just because a bunch of fans choose to tell it the way it is in no way makes them any less loyal to the team. Someone needs to get a hold of this team and get a coach who is going to light a fire underneath the team and its' fans. I am so sick of whiffing on these coaches and until that is fixed, you will have the team playing like a bunch of nice guys that gets along with the coach. Hell, who wouldn't love to play for Jauron - he's a great guy ps - You think those guys in the locker room down at HSBC are best friends with Lindy Ruff after falling behind 2-0? You get benched in a heartbeat under Ruff and you know what - it works - Go Freakin' Sabres!!!!!!! Now those guys play their balls off and can take my $$$ any day
  8. Add a Tigers game in there on Saturday and it would definitely be the most sporting events I have ever attended in one weekend!!!
  9. This is exactly what the Bills need to spend the rest of the season on!!!!!
  10. Sounds like you hit Delilahs on Saturday night (punk bar). The owner (Mike) is from Buffalo and is a great guy. It is a much different scene on Sunday.
  11. My point is that if TKO gets the green light this weekend, I would give him the extra week to really focus on the Pats. If they are still going back and forth all week and then decide to play him on Sunday - bad idea.
  12. Screw that....If these guys can't beat the Lions, there are some serious problems (especially after getting embarassed in Chicago). As a fan, I AM looking past this week because that could be the last meaningful home game of the season. As a player, obviously they don't have that luxury.
  13. If he did not show up against the Bears, how much better can he possibly be? Give him the extra cushion to make sure and let him loose when he comes out of that tunnel.
  14. Having said that, I really hope that this staff is not thinking about going there. What good would it do to bring him back against arguably the worst team in the league. He should start against the Patriots beacause if the Bills lose that game, the season is already over (again before the halfway point). If he re-agrivates the hammy during the Pats game - oh well. It was a hell of a season. He will have the rest of the year to heal.
  15. I completely agree the the "lack of execution" line. I don't give a crap how young this team is, make the damn play!!! You are good enough to make an NFl team as a starter and you can't catch an int that hits you in the hands 3 DIFFERENT TIMES!!!!!!!! How many times will you get stuffed on 3rd and inches. Some of you people are way too forgiving week after week. Suck it up and make a play!
  16. I think the window for late season games meaning something is fading fast. I am just hoping that we can beat Detroit so that the Patriots game will be an electric one. If the Bills want to at least keep the fan interest up, there is going to have to be an upset and it ain't coming against the Chargers or Jaguars. Indy is vulnerable and the Bills will have to put together a stretch of 5 games to even think about keeping pace with the Pats. Yes, this is jumping the gun but I just want to keep the meaningful games going on as long as possible. Is that not what makes going to them worth while? There are some real softies coming up (if there is such a thing with the Bills) but they will still have to pull at least one major upset along the way.
  17. I don't want to turn this into a Spikes being overrated post so let's just end this right here.... HE IS THE LEADER OF THIS DEFENSE!
  18. If # 51 is still questioning playing this Sunday, he is obviously not ready for game speed. There is no need to have him come back against Detroit so you might as well give him full rest until the big game against the Pats. If he is not ready to go by then, it must be one bad hammy. Now that the Bills have shown that they can make this an interesting season, there is no reason you can't wait a few more weeks.
  19. You should stop in Lincoln Station on Lincoln Avenue Saturday night. My buddy owns the place and when I lived there, I told him to make it a Bills bar. He did and there should be a good crowd there this weekend. Tell Joe (the owner that Baumer says hello)
  20. I lived in Chicago for 10 years before moving back to Buffalo and can honestly say you are going to get the good or the bad depending on where your seats are. As long as you don't act like a jackass you should be fine. I went to a game last season (pre-season Buffalo) and there is not a bad seat in the house. You will not believe how beautiful their jumbotron is!!!!! It is as clear as the TV in your living room (quite the opposite from the Ralph) Chicago has great people so expect to have a blast. Guarantee you will be out with a few fans for some beers after the game.
  21. The talk is already starting on the Bears and the Super Bowl. After totally waxing Seattle, the Bills will be facing them at a time when many teams show a drop off. Why this always happens? (I don't know) but it does. Obviously Chicago is playing light out right now but this could be a perfect time for a team like the Bills to sneak out of there with a V. Losman is starting to gain some confidence and if Buffalo could ever get Spikes back in the lineup, that would be quite a lift. IF TKO cannot make the return in Chicago, you might as well just wait until the New England game. 15 penalties against a Bears team would spell disaster but if they can somehow limit those, you never know. I am not saying that I favor Buffalo to win this game but I certainly don't rule them out for an upset. Buffalo Will not be blown by many teams just like they will not blow anybody out themselves. These guys just got a HUGE boost of confidence with that win yesterday and that (as we know) goes a long way. My favorite part of being at the game yesterday was when the crowd put together the chant "Let's Go - - DeeFense". Everyone in that stadium could sense disaster coming on the final drive but still stepped it up a notch to rally the D!! Way to go!!! The lungs feel like they did their job yesterday...
  22. I don't think people are accusing Spikes of faking anything or lacking heart - I bet that there is just frustration because he is someone who probably could have turned one if not both of those losses into Ws.
