  1. And no chance for Rutgers to have won one.
  2. Because we don't know how Schiano feels about the Miami gig vs the other gigs in the country. Do you just like embarrassing yourself? First: Go play in a bowl game. Next: Go win in a bowl game. Finally: Go win a National Championship. Then come talk to me about the 'Horns. Anyway, keep bringing Texas up as if it has anything to do with Schiano. It helps your point. Really, it does.
  3. I've always been glad I got to Texas at the time that I did. Seeing as how I have to go an extra semester next year, maybe we'll win two before I'm out.
  4. You keep posting this, but it doesn't change anything. I wouldn't leave for Miami if I was Schiano either. If I stay at RU I could get a much, much better gig.
  5. Which does NOT mean that you are anything other then a partisan Democrat.
  6. I'm a senior in college, and I'm not lying. Sorry, but I just don't hear the Reagan quote used. Its not really a surprise that you feel everything is slanted to the left. People who identify as someone right of center tends to think of the media as being too far left. Likewise, someone who self-ids as left of center tends to think the media is too far right.
  7. Was this more ESPN bull sh-- or is this a credible rumor?
  8. I'm not saying I know more then you, I'm saying you know less then you think that you know, as evidenced by almost all previous coaches who have left their jobs.
  9. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061129/ap_on_...supercenter_ban San Diego bans Walmart.
  10. lol, you're up in arms about this? Thats funny, I haven't heard that quote by Mr. Reagan since like 8th grade history class. JFK's is repeated/quoted/used all the time.
  11. So that means that you know him, his personal thoughts, and his job ambitions which he doesn't tell the media/public?
  12. No, you're assuming that he does. lol.
  13. JS isn't boring
  14. ^^--- This man speaks the truth.
  15. Leinart's a crybaby!
  16. I'd disagree with that, but to each his own I guess. I'd rather stay in the Big East which is much more wide open then the SEC, which provides an easier path to get conference championships/recruits. Plus, it still is a BCS conference for the winner. Miami's program has gone down the toilet in the Coker years, and their facilities are horrible. I don't think it'd be unexpected for Miami to lose out on recruiting to FSU/Florida for the next few years. I'd rather stay at the schools where I've already built something and in a conference that is easier to compete in if I'm vying for a big payday, and I'd be looking for a few jobs that are probably opening in the next couple of years, like Penn State and Florida State. If I was Schiano I'd be positioning myself for that PSU job once Joe Pa retires.
  17. What he said about the scouting reports and stuff was right, though how it pertains to today I have no idea.
  18. What, you actually think that right now Miami and Alabama are good opportunities for a coach trying to position himself for a better job?
  19. lol, Miami and Alabama. Its no surprise they said no, Ed.
  20. Tim Johnson, Algebra 2 and Stats. Great math teacher, better then any I've had in college. Funny as hell too, he made class interesting by making fun of all his students everyday. The other one would have to be this guy.
  21. I find it funny that you bring up my Longhorns having 3 losses this year, as if that somehow validates your point. Great coaches do the best with the resources that they have. This does not necessarily mean that they will be able to produce one of the best football teams in the country, but rather that they will be able to produce the best football team that they could possibly produce. I also find it funny that you claim programs are getting turned down. Whose programs, exactly? Petrino turning down Alabama? Dantonio turning down Michigan State (oops)? Petrino's the only one I heard turning down Alabama (can't say I blame him). Have you heard of any others?
  22. Yep. My media teacher told us that the NY Times Sports Coverage was pretty decent. When I called him out on it, he quickly backed down to "well, its been improving".
  23. Does this curse only work if you pay your own money for it? If not, can we all chip in to buy you jerseys to get the guys off the team?
  24. I think its early to be comparing JP to Elway at this point. However, JP could turn out to be one heck of a football player. If he keeps playing like he has since the bye, he's our guy.
  25. Not any worse than your line of reasoning.
