  1. The rule is you can't be ahead of the second last opponent and NOT the last defender. The goalie came up and Vela was behind him. That was a great call.
  2. The second half was great. This was very good Turkey team they played. Here are a few of my thoughts. 1. Spector is a shell of the player he was last year, thankfully Cherundolo was awesome. 2. IMO, Torres just played himself into the starting 11. Clark was disappointing. 3. Findley surprised me. Maybe he'll have some use after all. 4. When Donovan and Dempsey are on, the US wins. That said, they sucked for the entire first half. My new lineup.... Altidore (STR), Dempsey (CF) Holden (LM), Bradley (CM), Torres (CM), Donovan (RM) Bocanegra (LB), Onyewu (CB), Goodson (CB), Cherundolo (RB)
  3. Two games to get the chemistry down. We should get a pretty good idea what the starting 11 will look like. My guess: Altidore (STR), Dempsey (CF) Donovan (LM), Edu or Clark (CDM), Bradley (CAM), Holden (RM) Bocanegra (LB), Demerit (CB), Onyewu (CB), Spector (RB) If Gooch isn't ready, Goodson would be his likely replacement. And if they want Dempsey in at RM over Holden, I can see Gomez going up top to CF.
  4. What you said. That "baby" is actually 36 years old.
  5. I think Bob made the right picks but would have taken Ching OVER Findley. Findley might be the fastest player in the world but he has no skill set to go along with it. Actually, I would have taken Davies over Findley from the start since he may only see five minutes on the field this WC. Charlie could have done that and it would have made for a great story. Bornstein on this team scares me, I wish they gave Castillo a chance because if JB plays, we are in deep trouble. Basically, the US can't afford to lose any starters to cards or injury. They aren't deep enough.
  6. No Mr. Eko in the finale? There's another wormhole that goes unexplained. He was a huge part of season three if I recall.
  7. You should because time is running out on saying soccer is unpopular in America. MLS keeps getting better. The USMNT keeps getting better. More and more Americans are plying their trade overseas in top leagues. ESPN is spending billions on the sport. Hell, Jim Rome and Colin Cowherd are talking soccer now. The tipping point will be the return of the World Cup in 2018 or 2022. With a good USA run, soccer will become a top three sport in the US before 2025.
  8. I said from day one the slug was a money grab. Make a few million with a jersey that's OK but not as good as the original and when the time comes, switch back to what everyone really wants.
  9. Thank you. That's all I'm saying. I have nothing against people that spend their money on the Bills. That's their money and they are free to spend it on whatever they'd like. But don't tell other side they should spend money on a crappy team just to keep that crappy team around. That's no incentive for me. No, Saturdays at UB Stadium will have to do I guess.
  10. We're extremely lucky just to have them? That's loser talk if I've ever seen it. The Bills are an embarrassment to Buffalo. I rather they simply move away than put up with another decade like the last one. I had season tickets for years before deciding not to spend a dollar on this organization four years ago. That's thousands of dollars saved. Face it, after the first few home games where false hope still prevails, Bills football is nothing more than a social drinking festival.
  11. It's in our DNA to want revenge but TRUST ME on this: sooner or later you'll end up looking back and wishing you just moved on. No matter how good revenge might feel now, you'll end up hating yourself for wasting any energy on this person. I'm sure others that have gone throw similar situations will agree. So move on, learn from this experience and you be better off tomorrow than you were yesterday.
  12. Monoprice.com -- high quality products at discount store prices. I've got two, one holding a 56" and one holding a 50". I think I spent $20-$30.
  13. What a sad day for Poland. The Polish President and many top officials died in a plane crash in Russia. They were on their way to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the massacre in Katyn forest of thousands of Polish officers by Soviet secret police. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/04/10/po...crashes-russia/
  14. If Roosevelt falls to the later rounds, Buffalo would be stupid not to take him. Every big program coach raved about Roosevelt when they played UB over the past few seasosn. I clearly remember Dave Wandstedt saying Roosevelt will be making big plays come Sunday and how his PITT team could only hope to contain him. He's got the hands, he's got the speed and he has a knack for finding the end zone wherever he is on the field. I don't care that he played in the MAC. This kid would have been top 5 WR if he played in a bigger conference.
  15. WOW. I AM SHOCKED. How did the hell did other 21-22 guys get away without being flagged?
  16. It's really easy actually. You don't spend a dime on Bills tickets and merchandise until you notice the organization shows actual signs of progress. Signs of progress are not limited to simply winning but a team that's actually fun to watch. I don't expect them to win anymore, just give us a team worth watching. Until that happens, I'll be a casual fan that laughs at the ineptitude of the organization.
  17. You mailed in 2011? I mailed in 2005 until further notice.
  18. I didn't watch it yet but I did DVR it. I understand that one of the characters in the miniseries (last name Connolly) was from Buffalo. They did a story about it on last night's Channel 2 news.
  19. You say Lindsay, I think Vaughan. Not Lohan. That crack whore needs a life.
  20. Dr. Owen Moy at the Buffalo Hand Center. I went four years with a broken bone in my wrist. My odds for a clean heal were low but he fixed me up real good. I also sent my mom to him for CTS. She had major problems before her surgery and she's been 1000x time better since. Website: http://www.buffalohandandshoulder.com/
  21. I'm a Microsoft fan but Firefox is head and shoulders ahead of everyone else including IE.
  22. In the NHL you need stars if you want to win (See Sabres 2005-2007). Buffalo needs to get two studs up top and the rest will fall into place. Bottom line is it all goes back to losing Briere and Drury. You KEEP your studs and you REPLACE the support players. Regier did the opposite. Miller, Myers and Kaleta stay. Everyone else is trade bait. Darcy's "core" has had ample opportunity to get the job done. If it hasn't happen yet, it won't.
  23. Most of our guys played juniors in Canada, really? Try again but even if they did who cares? Since Crosby and most of your players became superstars for US-based teams, do we get credit for that too? It doesn't matter what club, junior or college teams they played for or where their coaches are from, it's what country they represent. Like it or not, USA is at Canada's level and will likely only get better and better.
  24. I've got a lot of Canadians as family and friends and I'm actually shocked at their post Gold Medal behavior. I also echo the comments about Canadian fans cheering against Team USA all tournament. While I'm sure USA would have smoked Slovakia, I wanted Team Canada to win in the semis. All I heard for months is how you guys are going to crush everyone in hockey and when you won by the smallest of margins, you hosers act like each and every one of you won the lottery. Act like you've been there before. It's your game in your home country. Having said that, I'm sure most of you feel the tide changing. USA Hockey is at your heals and is already starting to take over at the youth and junior levels. It's only a matter of time Canada, only a matter of time!!!
