I’m not sure the eagles are the best team in the NFC anymore…the NFC playoffs is gonna be fascinating.

They are until proven they aren't . They have started the season out fantastically. Packers are the only other NFC team to look this good but they need to prove it over the rest of this season.

While i dislike the projection, I am on board with the philosophy of your thought

Not sure he's an incompetent coach. It's a seriously difficult job and he's still a young man.

I don't think any of us really have an inkling what an NFL HC job must be like

Of course I dont know how it is to be an NFL coach. But his record and they way they started this season makes him trend towards being incompetent at his position.

The Bengals have botched things. A good OL is more important than an elite receiver. If the QB is always rushed, it won't make a difference if your receivers are prime Moss and Rice. I also think they cheap out on coaching and do the bare minimum. But I'm not shedding tears for Burrow. He decided to get paid and stay.

But...Burrow does not live to play another down enough. He won't throw it away and has had injury issues since college. Him and the Bengals are married to one another. So they need to get it right.

Yes, they havent invested in their OL as they should have but I agree with the latter part. Somehow I feel the injuries are also on him. There have been a few players who are injury prone for one reason or another.

  5. (You all will love this thread on victory Monday)

Seeing how we well we are playing now, that we get a couple of defensive players back in few weeks and assuming that the young 'uns on defense gel by mid-season, I am having a really tough time seeing a loss on our schedule. But we all know how difficult it is to go unbeaten. Also, I dont want to jinx it. So if we assume there will be at least one loss this season, which game has your vote?

    Dolphins - naah

Saints - no QB, still re-building

Patriots* - Maybe if Vrabel does his thing for playing  tough in the trenches and this is his Superbowl

Falcons - way too underpowered to slow us down

    Panthers - Naah

Chiefs - they should have Rice back by this time so it is likely but I feel we are more balanced overall on Defense and can avoid the typical issues with their offense

Dolphins - they will be thinking about next season at this time, so naah

Buccaneers - a possible loss as they are a tough team and on a good day, can give us fits

Texans - while good overall, it remains to be seen if CJ Stroud can recapture his rookie form. But I dont think they have the overall horses to stop us

Steelers - Again, could be a tough game but Rodgers' arm would be hurting by this time

Bengals - Maybe Burrow will be back by this time but he will be rusty and our Defense should be fully revved up by this time

    Patriots - see above

Browns - good overall team but still looking for a QB.

Eagles - first real possibility of a loss with how tough that team is. But if we have the #1 seed locked up, many of our starters will be resting

    Jets - rrriigght

So, in summary, I think our first loss could be to the Patriots, Bucs or Eagles.

    What do y'all think?

  6. I commented on another thread that Burrow is trending towards Rob Johnson with better QB skills but similar availability issues. I think the Bengals must be very very worried right now to see his continuing issues. If this dude's problems continue to challenge the Bengals chances for the post season, what do they do going forward? They have sunk a lot of money on a few positions and may again have squat to show for it this season. Browning is decent as a backup , but he can't survive the rigors of playing good defenses who will gameplay against him.

    Patio watch parties

I was on a golf trip this weekend and played Friday and Saturday. The guys (no Bills fans) were pressuring me to play on Sunday morning also. My choices were to play on a beautiful 65F morning in Wisconsin or drive back 2.5 hours to catch the Bills play the friggin Jests.

    I chose the former.

You and @ColoradoBillsmay proceed to shame me now.

Both Jayden Daniels and Jordan Love made Mike Sando's QB tier 2:

"A Tier 2 quarterback can carry his team sometimes but not as consistently. He can handle pure-passing situations in doses and/or possesses other dimensions that are special enough to elevate him above Tier 3. He has a hole or two in his game."

I'm watching these guys and again thanking the almighty powers that Josh Allen is our quarterback.

Daniel's looks to have the sophomore slump like CJ Stroud had last year.  Still early but not looking as crisp as he did last season

Over on TheGangGreen.com, many Jests fans are expecting their boys to get steamrolled by the Bills:

"Watching the Bills Ravens game, in the 4th quarter I wanted the Bills to come back. We'll get them in a let down trap game. Had they lost that game, we'd have zero chance."

I don’t know. If you actually go through rosters team-by-team, you start to realize just how weak overall the Bills skill positions are relative to the rest of the league. I did the AFC earlier today and it’s eye-opening.

Allen really is a supernatural force out there when you look at the scraps Beane has given him to work with.

The sad part is that this approach to “juice the defense” and avoid a big, stud WR contract would work wonders if any of the defensive draft picks or FA acquisitions actually became true impact players. Ed Oliver has had his moments, for sure. But outside of that, none of the recent early draft picks or big money signings have amounted to much more than “good, but replaceable” players.

The Jaguars, Seahawks, and Titans basically are the same thing as the Dolphins, Jets, and Patriots. I don’t think you’re really helping your argument here.

Any reason why you hijacked this thread when there are several others to comment on how good/poor our WRs are ? Making a comment or two is fine but you are continuing to discuss a topic that has little to do with the original post

Colinsworth had some great moments,  love how he just couldn't contain himself and was fanning out at certain points,  saying it's like a video game and he never seen anything like it .

Also felt like he was low key rooting for Buf

Yea, he is tough to listen to when he goes into his fanboy diatribe about certain players. But he was good last night and gave the right amount of props to each QB. I too noticed that he was ready to lose control of bodily fluids in the last 5 minutes. Truth be told, so was I.
