  1. The always controversial North Dakota Fighting Sioux
  2. Um, excuse me...Kelly Holcomb has feelings too. Besides he gives us the best chance to win now.
  3. No, but I think you should be looking at more than just basic stats. Sometimes the numbers don't matter. Ask Roethlisberger. The fact is, JP has made the necessary plays to pull out last-second wins in two straight weeks. Yes, there have been things that JP did (or didn't do) to put the team in the "last-second" position to begin with, but what I'm seeing is a QB is learning from mistakes, gaining confidence, and making a beliver out of his teammates. All things that weren't there even a month ago. If JP can play like he has the last two weeks for the rest of the season, I couldn't care less if he throws for less than 200 yards. He's officially progressing.
  4. Love it! Great sports day yesterday. Sabres have a chance to sweep the season series against the Rags on Friday. I don't know about anyone else but I'm kind of looking forward to the four-day break this week in regards to the Sabres. I'm sure they are too...hopefully by the time we see them again, Roy and Hecht are back in the lineup.
  5. Seven out of the last nine matchups have gone to the Sabres
  6. Shucks. Shoulda stayed retired I guess.
  7. Wow, hello to you too.
  8. Sorry to hear that. Maybe you can find solace in the fact that knowing I should be safe, unless Jerry Stiller goes on a racist rant within the next few weeks.
  9. I think Jauron should honor the memory of the late Herb Brooks: http://www.americanrhetoric.com/MovieSpeec...chmiracle3.html (yes, I know that's Kurt Russell as HB, but you get the idea)
  10. Once in one full season as a starter isn't bad.
  11. Wonder how he felt about Kelly? "Yeah that's what I want. Get me to the Super Bowl and LOSE. Pfffffffffttttttt!"
  12. Last time I checked they're still 6-4, tied for first place.
  13. Good enough to get to the playoffs? Ummm yeah. That's kind of what I want.
  14. Yup, anyone remember the December crowds during that 3-13 season in 2001? The stadium was lucky if it was half full. Hell, I remember a December game in 1998 against Oakland that was about 15,000 short of capacity and we were making a push for the division title.
  15. Ah, I look forward to these stories every winter. Some random Southern hits hit with a freak "snowstorm" and schools are closed for a week.
  16. I'm willing to bet that it does not. You'll hear a much more public outcry if it ever comes down than you will for it staying up. This whole book/TV show thing will cease to be a story within weeks, or even days, and just like that OJ won't be a part of our main conciousness anymore, until his next publicity stunt which we will then forget about within days or weeks and so on. It's already been up for 12+ years following the murders, it's not coming down at this point.
  17. Thank you. It's Cosmo, right? Anyone see Letterman last night? Apparently Richards apologized, probably the first of many: http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2006-1...ts_x.htm?csp=34 Richards: "...You know, I'm really busted up over this and I'm very, very sorry to those people in the audience, the blacks, the Hispanics, whites — everyone that was there that took the brunt of that anger and hate and rage and how it came through, and I'm concerned about more hate and more rage and more anger coming through, not just towards me but towards a black/white conflict. There's a great deal of disturbance in this country and how black feel about what happened in Katrina, and, you know, many of the comics, many of performers are in Las Vegas and New Orleans trying to raise money for what happened there, and for this to happen, for me to be in a comedy club and flip out and say this crap, you know, I'm deeply, deeply sorry. And I'll get to the force field of this hostility, why it's there, why the rage is in any of us, why the trash takes place, whether or not it's between me and a couple of hecklers in the audience or between this country and another nation, the rage—"
  18. JP hit Vanek on a 83 yard TD.
  19. I'm over it. Hopefully this carries over into the rest of the week. Big home games on Wednesday and Friday against Toronto and Montreal.
  20. Okay, now I can relax. Six goals in this period, are you kidding me?
  21. This has been beautiful. While I remain wary only because no lead has proven to be safe these days, it's nice to see a game out of the boys like this again.
  22. That's funny. The guy who wrote this used to (or still does?) write for The Onion. Hopefully no one here takes this seriously.
