  1. Sounds good on the surface, but a QB owes it to his team to get up off the turf and get ready for the next play. Say what you will about Bledsoe, but he took some incredible hits and got up and took the next snap for 48 straight games for this team. Frankly JP looks, and has proven to be, more frail than that. I like the fire, but save the head cracking for only those times when there is simply no other way.
  2. This is the kind if hyperbole that has fueled the dump Bledsoe crowd. It is, of course, a ridiculous statement. Bledsoe has started in the NFL for 12 years, and is ranked 7th on the all time completion list. He holds 11 franchise passing records for the Bills. The list of his many other accomplishments indicates that perhaps it would be fairly easy to find a few QBs that are worse at reading defenses and decision-making than he is. You want Bledsoe gone, fine. You want Losman to start, great. But in making your point, try keeping it just a bit more real.
  3. He had two turnovers and a sack in his first five snaps. A 38.9 QB rating for the year. I don't think, "he didn't impress" is being unfair.
  4. This sums up fairly well how I feel. Truth is though, JP did appear in 4 games with no pressure. He didn't impress, and in fact had me scratching my head. It was, granted, a small sample. Not a fair assessment. Maybe magic will happen in the offseason. Bledsoe ended the year 9-3. While everyone wants to conclude that Bledsoe lost the 3 games and the team won the 9, methinks that that may be a tad unfair. I think Bledsoe should start the season and be on a short leash.
  5. I haven't been here long but I can say I have to agree. The vitriol with which people attack players is amazing. It's startling how such brave keyboard jockeys will dare to insult guys twice their size when there is no fear of repercussion. When guys spend day after day criticizing and insulting guys with things they'd never say to their face it makes you wonder how damn low their own self-esteem must be.
  6. There's a saying, "you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone" Let's see if JP can take 48 games of getting hit behind this o line and get up off the ground after every play. Among a few other things, Bledsoe did just that. I think Bledsoe deserves a classy sendoff after bringing excitement back to Buffalo and missing the playoffs by a whisker twice in 3 years. Frankly, I'm not ready for a long period of QB rebuilding but I'll support any Bill that takes the field.
  7. Exactly. Get ready to enjoy 6-10 or 7-9 yahooooooooooooooooo!!
  8. I have a feeling it will be a minor cut, to 4.5 million AND a restructure. I don't see the Bills ownership throwing it all in Losman's lap without a little more proof of his legitimacy. He may show up at camp weighing about 25 lbs more and knowing the playbook well and then they might say we'll eat the March 1 Bledsoe bonus and cut Drew this summer.
  9. I think the Pats will miss the skills of Weis and Crennel vastly. But even more importantly, these 2 guys have provided the spiritual leadership that allowed for this unique "team" thing to happen. The players love both of these guys. Belichick, while clearly a very good head coach, is personalityless and uninspirational. That was always left up to Weis and Crennel and a few veteran players. The team emotional health is very tenuous when things are disrupted (it's how we got the 31-0 win in 2002). The Brady/Weiss thing is almost father/son-like and can't be understated. I think this will have a definite negative impact on this team
  10. Troy Brown has restructured the last three years in a row. He is at the end of his career and their new CBs are very good. Bethel Johnson will not ask for more money because he hasn't performed! He's one of the few not in the Belichick mold who will be gone next year, big ego. Best you can hope for is that Vrable, Brucschi, Ted Johnson, Rodney Harrison, Phifer, McGinest are getting a little long in the tooth and are losing a step.
  11. When Harrison made the last interception I turned off the TV.
  12. I was pulling for the Eagles. It's good form to give props to a team that has demonstrated it knows how to win. But one question, why were the Eagles trying to run out the clock when they were down by 10? If I'm an Eagles fan I want Andy Reid strung up.
  13. Move it back to one week or I'm not watching next year. Really. No, really.
  14. I heard that too, but throwing and completing, two different exercises, no?
  15. You can spend alot more for more pixels, video with sound, larger LCD and so on, but for $150 that's a perfectly serviceable camera. FYI Kodak just passed Sony for the leadership in digital camera sales in US. Weird.
  16. Right you are Alaska. But in the world of unintended consequences it does keep it on the front page.
  17. This is a curious point that I worried about also. McGahee is very good back, keeps his head up, unlike Henry, and got yards when they appeared not to be available, but VERY often had no holes at all. McNally seemed to get more out of the O line as the year went on but the sack numbers falling seemed to have a lot to do with McGahee entering the line up. This O line is improving but it needs 2 more better-than-average plaayers to be adequate.
  18. McNabb should run early, very early, to get the safeties to move up. Screen plays early and often also to bring up safeties. Then burn 'em deep. Brady throws 71% his passes within 10 yards of line of scrimmage(even though Pats fans brag he's gone long this year) Play physical at LOS on receivers, blitz often. They talk about how Brady will burn you on the blitz. True, he's capable. But an inferior team like Eagles have to take chances. Blitz often and see what happens.
  19. The Philadelphia Eagles are going to win this Super Bowl.
