Dorsey had a great game called. Good mix between pass and run. Didn’t get frustrated when runs didn’t get much. Not a ton of rushing yards, but kept at it. Gotta say, McD has been on point calling D this season also.

RIP David McCallum - Illya Kuryakin and "Ducky" Mallard

RIP The Great Escape is one of my favorite movies. He had a smaller part in the film, but was good. I was thinking a while back he was maybe the only surviving big name actor of the film. -
Hypothetically… Brian Daboll gets the boot….
davefan66 replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is this a Daboll thread, or an anti-Dorsey thread? Daboll is not getting fired this season unless they go winless. If he is fired, he won’t come back here as OC. He’d hang out waiting for another HC job. -

Elam a healthy scratch part deux (now part TRES) (now part QUATRO)
davefan66 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Benford may have hit his ceiling, I don’t think so though. He played way above his draft status when he came to us last year. Has played very well since. Will he be elite? Maybe. But he doesn’t have to be in our system, he just needs to be the best he can. Talent wise he could be the 2nd best CB athlete we have. He has not translated that to the field. And no, you wouldn’t bench him if he was. You’d get him playing time to get better. He hasn’t even cracked the roster as a nickel CB. Others may contribute more in ST and such, but if he was good enough, you’d play him. -

My son and I had the same take talking about him yesterday that the Benford pick makes up for it player for player. Wasting a top pick on a guy who can’t get on the field is definitely a problem. -
Stat to ponder: Josh Allen: 3 rushes for 7 yards.
davefan66 replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Couple of times he could have run and gotten good yardage, but didn’t. They shouldn’t stop him from running when needed. I get the punishment he takes running, but can’t kill his instincts. -
Came down Milestrip to Abbott to Southwestern to Lot 7 waiting line. Pulled into line about 8:15, no problems at all. Usual opener traffic. The home opener is always nuts for traffic. Let’s up a little as the season goes, especially as it gets colder. Side lots allow fans to park and party, which I believe is part of the mess. Fans that are not even going to the game, but want to experience the atmosphere.

First possession by LV and I thought we were in for a long season. Let them score so quickly on long plays. Buckled down, Josh had a hell of a game and Cook played very well. What a great win!!

Listen, I get he can be exhausting. I was kinda done with him in the off-season with his tweets. They were supposed to be a joke, but many people didn’t see it that way. No reason to stoke the fire. There are guys on every roster who are burning to be the best. Josh is ours. With Stef a close 2nd. Then there are guys on every roster for whom the money is more important. I can’t think of someone right now, but we have had them in the past…every team has. He could have left it in house for sure. He chose not to. I don’t like the look, gives the team a black eye. Let’s not forget Glab made a huge mistake and let her words be heard. She created the problem. Whether they were joking words or not, media people for the team should not be saying it out loud. She has every right to feel the way she does, she deals directly with him, we do not. Still, need to keep those feelings to yourself.
-
I don’t believe so. Maybe it was. Does Stef have the right to be angry? Absolutely. It would be better if he kept it in house for sure. Is he a diva? Surely been painted that way. Thing is not one of us know him and can’t vouch either way. Easier to make him a villain, that’s what the media does. I’d much rather have a guy who wants to win than a guy who can’t care less.

She has experience prior to being here. Also went to school and should know not to talk smack about players to others. Especially in that forum. I am surprised she is still here, IMO. If she is fired, it seems to me to be too late. Wouldn’t have been surprised if it was within 48 hours. Didn’t Chris Brown get suspended for sharing team info? Seems less of an issue than criticizing a star player.

At this point the Bills could spin it however they want. There is plenty of info out there for them to refer to and say Matt is clear and they welcome him back. Most fans would be fine with it. Those with a problem would be few and forget soon enough. I wonder how the game would have been different if MA booted that last punt? My concern is him out kicking coverage. I’m not personally saying bring him back or not, but if the bills wanted to, they could.

New year, same issues with play calling and use of personnel
davefan66 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Correct. But stop calling plays that may get Josh in trouble if he’s having an off game. Tailor the plays to boost confidence and maybe get smaller chunks of yatds. Ultimately, it is on Josh to make the play. Not Chuck it long into double coverage for an int, or any other of his poor decisions. -

That had all offseason to get it right. Picked up where they left off. Dorsey needs to call plays to tailor the game to what he believes will win. Not call plays to appease Josh. -
That was a great play when Thurman was on the team. Now? Not so much.

Josh needs to stop with the rectal cranial inversion. We are the better team. Chill the hell out and win this!! -

Kincaid was open for the first ahead of the int. C’mon Josh.
