  1. How is this kid an unknown? There is just as much pressure if not more to make kicks at Ohio State than to make them in the NFL. Big 10 kickers also have experience kicking in crappy conditions. Nugent is as close to a sure thing as there is. That said, no way TD uses a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a kicker unless we get a 2nd for Henry and an extra 3rd for Winfield.

  2. What could be Donahoe's motivation for saying what he did?: (1) lets Losman know if he works his butt off this off-season the job could be his (2) lets frustrated veterans on the team know that Bledsoe will not be given a free pass (3) lets Bledsoe know he will not be given a free pass and better show up this year ready for a competition (4) less likely - puts feelers out to teams that might be interested in going after Bledsoe this off-season (i.e. Cowboys)

  3. Offensive line should be our main focus in Free Agency. We can complain all we want about the QB situation but we are going to do better than what we have right now unfortunately. Re-sign Pat Williams, re-structure Moulds, trade Henry, draft a bigger back-up RB and another receiver, look into upgrading the kicker, then go to town on the offensive line (we will have close to $10m in cap room for an LT and G).

  4. I wouldn't be uspet if we re-signed Jonas. He should be our worst case scenario at LT. If we downgrade at LT, our offense will be worse than it was this year, and Drew (who like it or not is probably our starter next year) is set up for failure. So it's gotta be Jonas or better. I'm of the ilk that if I'm going to have to pay $5-6m per year for the sirloin (Jonas), I'll take the filet mignon for $8m per year (Jones).

  5. We are not going to do better than Drew and JP ast QB next year. Despite all his defiencies, Drew is better than all the re-treads that will be available and JP is a talented young QB. Make it an open competition and may the best man win. I would like to see the OL upgraded. Re-sign Jennings and move him to the right side, go all out for the LT from Seattle - don't think Seattle is going to continue to franchise him. Then, I would either cut Mike Williams or make him restructure and move him to guard. Extend Moulds for 3 years - even if he loses a step, he is a perfect complement to Evans and should be a Bill for life. A dominant OL, with an emerging superstar in Willis and excellent receivers and that is an excellent offense with or without Drew. On defense, re-sign Pat Williams and extend Fletcher. Cut or re-structure Posey and let one of the young LB's fight for the job. I would also trade Travis for a 3rd rounder and take Nugent somehow (we could potentially have 3 third round picks). Lindell is just not a money kicker.
