I’m wondering what you mean by his “decline” to the extent it led to a deserved permanent ban.

Isn’t junior high part of the high school experience? Jesus, maybe my parents held me back. It was 9th grade and come to think of it, the guy smelled like capers. -

What an interesting couple of days it’s been here. First, my acknowledgement—I’m a fan of DRs, I read many of his posts and my instinct is to come to his defense. I’ve never met him (nor anyone else unless one of you sick *&$#s knocked my books out of my hands and stepped on my hand with your stupid clogs in junior high 1975ish), agree with many of the things he has posted about and have told him when I did not. His response has typically been a thumbs up, or perhaps another post for clarity or consideration. I’ve seen him repeat that pattern over and over and over with others. There has been a coordinated campaign to dig at the guy. The cycle has been punch, swing, mock, mock, and repeat. The stupidity meter spins constantly, with malice imo, and there are times he certainly responds forcefully and aggressively. I personally think he should swing back less, not because he’s wrong about what he believes, but because when you care enough do the things he does, some folks will target you for some f’d up version of fun. I don’t understand that mindset, seems like a waste of good human interaction, but people are who they are. I can’t speak to SDS’ reconnoiter of activity and back and forth but most certainly take him at his word. For my friends here wondering about political nudging and targeting—I’m one of a handful of posters here (as I recall) who has acknowledged a life long affiliation with the R party, who acknowledged voting for DJT without having to come around to it from a liberal or even D leaning point of view, and have referred to DJT as a National Treasure on more than one occasion, only sometimes in jest. After taking a day or two to thin’ about it, I don’t see it. I mean, I thought I did when Greg was suspended the first time, mostly because people take shots at him all the time. Literally every damn post. It seemed capricious and arbitrary to me. @Hedge with the longest joke in history as well (though I was thinking about banning you because I was getting vertigo scrolling through that post on my ipad). On the whole, however, most all of us sling mud, most of my favorite posters certainly lean proTrump and we’re all still standing. I’ll leave others to debate “bullying” like it’s a middle school gym class, I’ll respect the position that SDS has outlined and the action taken up to this point. That said, I’m a believer in compassionate justice. I recognize from SDS point of view that I’m not lobbying for a second chance, in his mind it might be chance 3, 4 or 5. Be that as it may, that’s my feedback—I’d like to see him back for all the reasons outlined previously. Hope you’re feeling better soon, Creator. In the meantime: @Deranged Rhino You’re my boy Blue. -
The pity card is exclusive domain of The Boys 4 Biden campaign. We’re the punch back crowd. Since we seem to agree on the issue of multiple different approaches to COVID and advise given to the populace, we can move past that and acknowledge that I’ll consider one side and you the other. As for his base, we—generally speaking—-have no desire to stay hunkered down in fear, to believe in the tall tales told that massive groups safe small groups danger, and we’re interested in getting back to work if in fact we haven’t been working. We’ll move forward with masks and social distancing guidelines for now, respect the danger posed to some by the virus, and move forward. Check your handrails, brother, make sure you stay on the outside of the refrigerator when you close the door, and remember that danger lurks around every corner. With luck, you’ve rid your home of the plastic bags they used to hand out at the grocery store as they pose a major suffocation hazard. Meanwhile DJT being discharged tonight at 6, a positive we can all agree on.

All good one liners have some basis in truth. When I went in, saw the same doc from 5 years earlier. I’m getting prepped, they’re about to send me to slumberland and he comes in and asks me if I’ve ever had the procedure before. I said “Jeesh Doc, I just saw you 5 years ago, don’t you remember me?”. He laughed, got into place, the nurse moved the gown and he said “Oh, yeah, I remember you now.”. Funny stuff and then 😴

The Trump Health Hoax

The entire premise makes a mockery of both the medical profession and social influencer communities. I cut and pasted several video clips trying to find my good side before realizing I had none. -

You PPPers and your deep state conspiracies crack me up. He’s sick. He’s not sick. He’s hacking up a lung. Nuke codes. -
So, in 2017 NYS Senator Chuck Schumer made a very chilling and emphatic statement. It was the type of statement that you would see in a movie about a lone hero fighting an entrenched and powerful governmental enemy. There was no widespread condemnation, no media outrage, no concern la about civil liberties or KGBesque tactics: https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/homenews/administration/312605-schumer-trump-being-really-dumb-by-going-after-intelligence-community%3famp “Six ways to Sunday to get you”. No commentary about lawful activity, about hard investigative work, just “six ways to Sunday” to get you. Imo, a powerful US Senator with access to our nation’s secrets would know exactly what the IC could or would do.

I’ve actually heard about 7 different versions of medical advice from experts with different perspectives. I’ve heard that the staying at home, social distancing and wearing a mask is the only way, then I heard that churches and Memorial Day gatherings of 11 or more spread the virus but that gatherings of 22,783 people do not. I’ve heard that 0 people in an open air football stadium is the only answer but that 7,000 in a place built for 80,000 might be ok. I’ve heard that masks work, but maybe don’t, but probably do. I’ve heard that the best course of action is to stay at home with the blinds drawn like you’re hiding out after ratting on John Gotti is the answer, unless you need petunias from the Home Depot in which case you gots ta take your chances. I’m uncertain as to what doctors lied to me, my most recent visit was for a colonoscopy 5 years after my last one. I was hurt the doctor didn’t recognize me but other than that he seemed honest enough.

PSA: How to use the "Ignored Users" function
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to dubs's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It’s a fairly common occurrence in the financial services industry, and is a trait that successful people in general apply. The fact that the other poster doesn’t understand that concept and responded accordingly says a lot about that other poster. -
Postgame Thread: Bills at Raiders

In the Atlanta SB there were 17 plays like that in a row. He had the one. -
I appreciate the response. You answered the numbers question as I thought you might, nothing concrete, a maybe kinda sorta, maybe 104k right now, with speculation on what older Americans are doing and the impact on the totals, and so on. I see that as a guess. That’s fine. The numbers initially projected by the prognosticators was that millions would die in this country. You took a pass on guessing about the numbers of transmissions, illness and death that were caused by protests, and by protests I mean often tens of thousands of people standing arm in arm, face to face often joined by the very politicians you’re giving a pass to now. I assumed you would do that, because the reality is that the number of cases and deaths that flowed directly from those protests is staggering. On this count, I’m simply following the logic laid out by the CDC, Trump, and governors like Andrew Cuomo. You took a quick run by on the accuracy of the statistics cited as the gold standard, as I expected you would. The number cited by Debra Birks (sp) a member of the presidential task force, a few months back was 25%. The best conclusions I can come up with about leaders in direct control of the activities undertaken by ordinary citizens on a local level is that: 1. The transmissions and death rate that surely followed was a necessary sacrifice because the message was so important, 2. They figured it was a good time to cull the herd and get rid of a whole bunch of people; 3. Generalized incompetence played a part and control of the citizenry was worth whatever pain and anguish followed; So, thanks for sharing. I’m of the mind we’re being steamrolled with misinformation for a variety of reasons. Based on the Sunday traffic patterns on this sunny October day, and the relative activity of folks in my area, lots of people feel the same way.

I’ll accept this one, it keeps it fresh. How many people should have died, if any, as a result of COVID-19? How many infections and deaths (Of the 208,000 cited) occurred as a result of continuous and sustained protesting across the country? You’ve mentioned leadership several times exclusively as it relates to DJT. We’re any other politicians complicit in the death count? Finally, do you agree with the estimate that COVID deaths may be inflated by as much as 25%, and if not, what would you project?

I just hope for a civil and spirited contest, and most certainly hope that if anyone feels uncertain about their role in the game, body image or just whatever—that someone gets ejected to make things more holistic. Healing is feeling.

You sound sorta thin-skinned to be honest. I read many of your threads back and forth with DR and you didn’t seem all that fearful of being “driven out of here”. Any reasonable reader picking up a topic might well conclude you were the offending party. As for seeking to gather others to help you in your quest to call the man out, three thoughts: 1. Being the guy who tells the other guys where the torches and pitchforks are hidden doesn’t mean you’re not part of a larger problem; 2. Unless you’re brand 🤬ing new as of this very moment, if you haven’t seen countless posters taking shots at the guy, often in what appears to be a coordinated fashion, welcome to this country and all the best on learning the language and all the subtleties contained therein; 3. Even if you personally believe that something is a conspiracy theory, why do you care? Ignore it. Move on. Consider that you might be a tad condescending in calling out what someone else may believe. Hell we’ve got morons running about thinking the FBI just had a bad day when they sought to unseat The President. True story—after some $#@*bird whined the last time (and for God’s sake what a weasel that person is), I suggested the old saying “When you lie down with dogs, you might get fleas” might well be one he wanted to revisit. As @Buffalo_Gal has said many times, DR seems at times to have the patience of Job. This comes from a person, btw, who enjoys reading some of your thoughts on certain issues.

Sensitive soul, grow a pair...it’s like East Coast v West Coast rap. We’re like Tupac and Biggie.

I have some family members I told about PPP a few years ago when I started posting. I specifically told them about Greg, because at the time he was posting quite a bit about Russia and DJT. I really struggle sometimes understanding the things that get you bounced. I understand fully it’s a private site, but just looking at some of the $#@& posted since DJT was diagnosed, it really doesn’t seem like it’s a civility standard. When the word filters down on DRs status and/or when he’s returning (if) I’d appreciate if those who know him well shared what you found out. PM is fine.

Wow, you’re a sensitive soul.

Nope, I can’t do it. I cannot accept a second apology when I have already rejected the first. I ask that you cease and desist any further mention of apologies or sympathy in any form. I can’t have it. I sincerely wanted to know who you were referencing “others”. I am sorry if that was was not clear—and don’t even think about rejecting my apology. I will not take it back.
-
Which “others”? The ones struggling to survive financially, or the financially entitled unaffected by a shutdown of the economy? Like many others, I received my school tax bills last month. The only mention of COVID was that the town offices was in regard to severely reduced hours of service to take the payment. No deferral option, not payment plan, just “pay the &$@@ing bill.” The way I see that is you pay 100% for roughly 40% of the services.
