  1. You nailed it. With the declass today, DR was proven correct about Brennan, Clinton and Obama. He was minimum 2 years ahead on this, and now would be a good time for the nudniks who tossed bombs his way to man up and acknowledge same. It’s not going to happen, but it should.
  2. So odd that he accused Trump of treason and knew all of this was going on. It's almost like he lied and wanted to take down a president.
  3. I understand your point, and using the movie "The Matrix" as an example, there is comfort for some in just following the path of least resistance. With respect, the thought process that the left tried to steamroll the will of the right so let's just move forward with more left is one of the reasons why I've morphed into the mindset the world is 'us v them', It's the least 'fair' reason to vote for him that I can think of. We've seen the evolution of treatment of Bork (wrong white guy) to Thomas (wrong black guy) to Kavanaugh (wrong across the board because he's male) to ACB (wrong woman), and the mainstream approach of the left (Schumer--"The Intelligence ommunity will find six ways to Sunday to get you") and it's an ugly scenario. Add to that the record unemployment figures for people of color as a reason to vote out Trump, and we get back to progressives wanting to go back to the days when they could take minorities for granted.
  4. I think he went to school with some of the soldiers.
  5. My brother is a speech pathologist and works with special needs children. They can be violent, prone to outbursts, and very physical.
  6. I can't say why people say they might vote for Biden, but I have some thoughts about psychological reasons why they are drawn to him. 1. Biden represents old world politics--where hard working democrats got up, went to work, came home and raised their families. Some were union workers, others perhaps felt disenfranchised by the elites, still others were the children of dems themselves. They didn't spend much time thinking about whether the ideals of the democrat party had a net positive impact on their lives, they didn't have much time to do so just making ends meet. 2. On the other hand, Biden after nearly 18,000 days in public life is purported to be the leader of the emerging progressive wing of the dem party. So, a man of the people spearheads the next great dem resurgence and things like BLM, #metoo and the like--important to the emotional side of the liberal mind, and all is well. 3. Biden bumped uglies with Barrack O, the standard bearer of the modern liberal point of view, so ipso facto Biden = Barrack = just good enough. 4. On a much deeper level, it's absolutely irrefutable that Biden has had issues putting forth any sort of cohesive messaging on his relationship with people of color, ranging from flat out stereotypical comments, to derogatory comments about black voters, the comments about Obama himself being articulate and clean (the first that could be described as such according to Joe) and what their individual choices reveal about who they really are, to his recent awkward commentary about black women stocking shelves. It seems fairly obvious to me that many liberal voters embrace the somewhat subtle racism that Biden brings to the table. It's not the typical liberal Biden supporter is outwardly racist, it's just that they seem to feel that while progress is great, the progress really needs to occur away from their neighborhood, away from their school district, away from them personally. 5. Biden represents the old ways and old days of American politics. He was knee deep in the good old boys network of Senators who ruled the halls, kicking ass, taking names, and as my friend @transplantbillsfan pointed out by way of a link to a pro-Biden article, fairly often cornering a comely young page, intern or staffer in the elevator for a quick game of "How much can I grab between floor 1 and 4?". That particular article mentioned Biden as one that wasn't such a threat, though came woefully short of pointing out he at a minimum he enabled behavior and did nothing to protect the women at risk. One might say he was part of the #hertoo movement, back before #metoo, when powerful men got to do pretty much anything they wanted with a woman and their friends (Biden in this case) gave them the wink and a nod in solidarity. I think there is some odd comfort that comes with the understanding that that sort of thing was commonplace, just the way things were, and a trade off to having Scranton Tough Guy and Malarkey king Biden carrying your water in Washington. 6. The tape revealing Biden bragging about shaking down the Ukrainians...I think on some level, progressives want progress but they want a strong bedrock foundation first. Seeing Scranton Tough Guy Joe talking about how he knocked heads certainly gives the appearance of strength and power, and it wasn't like he bullied Haiti. **Oh--one other thing. What's absolutely hysterical here is that many of the modern liberals are about to hop into their Prius, drive to the polling place and vote for exactly the type of politician their parents and grandparent flat out rejected as any semblance of a serious candidate for president on multiple occasions. I'm sure some of them are rolling over in their graves thinking "I worked and sweated my ass off to provide a better life for you and your children so you could vote for a guy we collectively new was a (*^*&%^$^#40 years ago??".
  7. The dogma lives loudly within you. The cool part here is some of you are of the mind that he’s a faker faker belly acher, others that he’s so sick his recovery is where the phony lies. Good stuff.
  8. Sounds conspiracy-minded and deep state-ish imo. I’m not sure if the “many” referenced wonder if the whole thing dating back to wet markets and Wuhan was a set up to provide DJT the opportunity for the deceptively edited (my words, not Sec 3) video and heli-flight to/from Walter Reed. B*tches be crazy.
  9. And what exactly is THAT supposed to mean???
  10. Fruit of the poisonous tree. FREE THE RHINO! LIBERA AL RINOCERONTE! FREI DAS RHINO! RHINOを解放する!
  11. This broke my heart. I recall reading that post, and my dad used to call us “Ernie Warlick” all the time to bug us so the name stuck out to me. I’m sort of at a loss here in what to say next. “I’m sorry you went through that” doesn’t cut it, and as I think of my own Dad it’s just incomprehensible to me to think someone could do that to his child. I hope that your mother was extraordinary. The ability to overcome that sort of trauma is really something incredible. Understand that while he missed the boat in a big way, you should be damn proud of what you’ve accomplished.
  12. He looks healthier than you figured though, huh.
  13. I’m wondering what you mean by his “decline” to the extent it led to a deserved permanent ban.
  14. Isn’t junior high part of the high school experience? Jesus, maybe my parents held me back. It was 9th grade and come to think of it, the guy smelled like capers.
  15. What an interesting couple of days it’s been here. First, my acknowledgement—I’m a fan of DRs, I read many of his posts and my instinct is to come to his defense. I’ve never met him (nor anyone else unless one of you sick *&$#s knocked my books out of my hands and stepped on my hand with your stupid clogs in junior high 1975ish), agree with many of the things he has posted about and have told him when I did not. His response has typically been a thumbs up, or perhaps another post for clarity or consideration. I’ve seen him repeat that pattern over and over and over with others. There has been a coordinated campaign to dig at the guy. The cycle has been punch, swing, mock, mock, and repeat. The stupidity meter spins constantly, with malice imo, and there are times he certainly responds forcefully and aggressively. I personally think he should swing back less, not because he’s wrong about what he believes, but because when you care enough do the things he does, some folks will target you for some f’d up version of fun. I don’t understand that mindset, seems like a waste of good human interaction, but people are who they are. I can’t speak to SDS’ reconnoiter of activity and back and forth but most certainly take him at his word. For my friends here wondering about political nudging and targeting—I’m one of a handful of posters here (as I recall) who has acknowledged a life long affiliation with the R party, who acknowledged voting for DJT without having to come around to it from a liberal or even D leaning point of view, and have referred to DJT as a National Treasure on more than one occasion, only sometimes in jest. After taking a day or two to thin’ about it, I don’t see it. I mean, I thought I did when Greg was suspended the first time, mostly because people take shots at him all the time. Literally every damn post. It seemed capricious and arbitrary to me. @Hedge with the longest joke in history as well (though I was thinking about banning you because I was getting vertigo scrolling through that post on my ipad). On the whole, however, most all of us sling mud, most of my favorite posters certainly lean proTrump and we’re all still standing. I’ll leave others to debate “bullying” like it’s a middle school gym class, I’ll respect the position that SDS has outlined and the action taken up to this point. That said, I’m a believer in compassionate justice. I recognize from SDS point of view that I’m not lobbying for a second chance, in his mind it might be chance 3, 4 or 5. Be that as it may, that’s my feedback—I’d like to see him back for all the reasons outlined previously. Hope you’re feeling better soon, Creator. In the meantime: @Deranged Rhino You’re my boy Blue.
  16. The pity card is exclusive domain of The Boys 4 Biden campaign. We’re the punch back crowd. Since we seem to agree on the issue of multiple different approaches to COVID and advise given to the populace, we can move past that and acknowledge that I’ll consider one side and you the other. As for his base, we—generally speaking—-have no desire to stay hunkered down in fear, to believe in the tall tales told that massive groups safe small groups danger, and we’re interested in getting back to work if in fact we haven’t been working. We’ll move forward with masks and social distancing guidelines for now, respect the danger posed to some by the virus, and move forward. Check your handrails, brother, make sure you stay on the outside of the refrigerator when you close the door, and remember that danger lurks around every corner. With luck, you’ve rid your home of the plastic bags they used to hand out at the grocery store as they pose a major suffocation hazard. Meanwhile DJT being discharged tonight at 6, a positive we can all agree on.
  17. All good one liners have some basis in truth. When I went in, saw the same doc from 5 years earlier. I’m getting prepped, they’re about to send me to slumberland and he comes in and asks me if I’ve ever had the procedure before. I said “Jeesh Doc, I just saw you 5 years ago, don’t you remember me?”. He laughed, got into place, the nurse moved the gown and he said “Oh, yeah, I remember you now.”. Funny stuff and then 😴
  18. The entire premise makes a mockery of both the medical profession and social influencer communities. I cut and pasted several video clips trying to find my good side before realizing I had none.
  19. You PPPers and your deep state conspiracies crack me up. He’s sick. He’s not sick. He’s hacking up a lung. Nuke codes.
  20. So, in 2017 NYS Senator Chuck Schumer made a very chilling and emphatic statement. It was the type of statement that you would see in a movie about a lone hero fighting an entrenched and powerful governmental enemy. There was no widespread condemnation, no media outrage, no concern la about civil liberties or KGBesque tactics: https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/homenews/administration/312605-schumer-trump-being-really-dumb-by-going-after-intelligence-community%3famp “Six ways to Sunday to get you”. No commentary about lawful activity, about hard investigative work, just “six ways to Sunday” to get you. Imo, a powerful US Senator with access to our nation’s secrets would know exactly what the IC could or would do.
  21. I’ve actually heard about 7 different versions of medical advice from experts with different perspectives. I’ve heard that the staying at home, social distancing and wearing a mask is the only way, then I heard that churches and Memorial Day gatherings of 11 or more spread the virus but that gatherings of 22,783 people do not. I’ve heard that 0 people in an open air football stadium is the only answer but that 7,000 in a place built for 80,000 might be ok. I’ve heard that masks work, but maybe don’t, but probably do. I’ve heard that the best course of action is to stay at home with the blinds drawn like you’re hiding out after ratting on John Gotti is the answer, unless you need petunias from the Home Depot in which case you gots ta take your chances. I’m uncertain as to what doctors lied to me, my most recent visit was for a colonoscopy 5 years after my last one. I was hurt the doctor didn’t recognize me but other than that he seemed honest enough.
  22. The reports are that his doctor’s approved the joyride. What can we do to get you back on the Trump 2020 team again?
  23. It’s a fairly common occurrence in the financial services industry, and is a trait that successful people in general apply. The fact that the other poster doesn’t understand that concept and responded accordingly says a lot about that other poster.
  24. If I’m reading you correctly, you’re saying thank goodness our President is feeling better!
