Know anyone with a disease? Read this

The Leafly article of the week. Hopefully this information keeps some people (like Jim's mistress) from consuming cannabis foolishly in the future. Btw Jim, I hope that psychosis has cleared up for you two. One should know what they are consuming (top priority). One should be aware of their setting and their comfort level if they do plan to get high. They should certainly be aware of their cannabis tolerance. They should always start low and go slow with anything 'new' to them. Also important, if they ignore the guidelines and get too high, they should take responsibility for their own decisions and actions and not look elsewhere to find blame. Some other good info in the article too. https://www.leafly.com/news/cannabis-101/factors-that-affect-your-cannabis-high -
http://www.celebrationofdance.ca/Men-Buffalo-Bills-New-Era-NFL-Black-White-Neo-39THIRTY-Cap-Blackwhite-20940992/p_194/ The hat in the link is close. I saw this site posted here in an earlier merchandise thread. Prices were good. Warning: I tried to contact these folks but was unsuccessful trying to order from this site. Perhaps, within Canada, you may have more success. Be careful though. Good luck.

Eight now, counting Jim and his brain damaged lover-mistress. Way to go, Jimmy. When your friend needed a hand, you left her to go drinking. Tell the truth, did you stagger into her bumping her down the stairs too? I would think that the least you could have done would be to offer your arm to an unsteady friend. Pretty crappy, Jimbo! Clear to see right there your philosophy of life - it is all about Jim, eh? If your mistress friend had taken several slugs from a flask of unknown liquid and had the same reaction she had to the cannabis, would you blame Bicardi for making strong liquor or your foolish mistress- lover? -
Trump lies, post them here

This Brit comedy game show would be a perfect landing spot for President Trump. It is called, 'Would I Lie to you?' One team tells a story to the other team. The listening team has to decide if the story is true or a lie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As2-JwaH3BE&t=297s -
“Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit form a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities,” Mueller wrote in his report released Thursday. https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/439544-mueller-russia-sought-to-help-trump-win-2016-election-but-did-not

Yeah but does the fake diploma LOOK real? Do you have to be a Sam's Club member? Was that a sale price or the regular fake diploma fee? No, I kid. Very impressive. Recalling that you are in your early 60's(?), we probably went to UB around the same time. I am not competing with you or anyone however. The whole point of this thread from my perspective has been to educate and to offer alternative medical options.. And, at times I post just to irritate some of the regulars here. But, go look back at the first post in the thread. Education has been my stated goal all along. You are certainly correct that I include a lot of links from studies and articles. That is because so many here are skeptical of my assertions of cannabis health benefits. I object to your assertion though that all of my posts are just cut and paste. There are many posts in this thread that are my writings about my experiences. -

Well, there it is then. You are smarter. You win. Congratulations! So, are they selling those pHD's at Sam's Club now? Does it look like a real diploma? How much? -

Oh really? Gosh...boy do I ever feel silly now. I had no idea. Everybody's posts seemed so sincere. Boy am I blushing now. In spite of your best attempts to remain ignorant though, you have been educated. Some others have been too. The thread is closing in on 50K views. -

So you think I have been performing these studies? Honey, honey, no, no, noooooo! I am not a research or medical professional. Sorry if I misled you. It is good, however, to see you do a little research on your own. Baby steps but good steps This study may hold your answer but it is pretty technically dense material. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4539069/ from the study Chemokine receptors, opioid receptors and TRPV1 receptors have been reported to participate in complex cross talk, not unlike that between neuropeptides, cytokines, and neurotrophins [48] Chemokine receptors and opioid receptors can inhibit each other by a process known as heterologous desensitization [48]. Adenosine, by activating A2a receptors, can also desensitize chemokine receptors [48] (see Figure 1). Chemokine receptors sensitize TRPV1; hence, any desensitization of chemokine receptors (by adenosine or opioid receptors) would inhibit the sensitization of TRPV1 (via a phospholipase C β/protein kinase C [PLCβ/PKC] pathway) [48]. Interactions between cannabinoid receptors and opioid receptors after acupuncture have been reported. Cannabinoid receptor CB2 has been shown to participate in the EA-induced increase of opioid expression in keratinocytes in inflamed skin (in a CFA rat hind paw inflammation model) I can't understand it but it should keep you busy for the day. -

What is behind the effectiveness of acupuncture? Why does it work? https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/5a6267098425e40008273a32/how-acupuncture-interacts-with-the-endocannabinoid-system from the article To date, the opioid system—the network of receptors in the body that opioid drugs attach to—is most often credited with delivering acupuncture’s reported effects as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-emetic. However, studies in recent years have found another, less-studied, but equally important receptor network may be involved: the endocannabinoid system—the same system that’s responsible for cannabis’s myriad effects on the body. . . . However, there are instances where the opposite has happened: Acupuncture led to a decrease in activity of the CB1 receptor. While studies like this may be outliers, they also bring up an important concept: that acupuncture may dampen effects on the endocannabinoid system to maintain balance in the body. While we’re still far away from deciphering acupuncture’s exact mechanisms, it’s clear that this treatment has tangible effects on the body—effects that are likely due to the interaction of multiple receptor systems. Understanding the complex interactions between these systems is important because they may one day lead to the development of new techniques that combine acupuncture with medicines such as cannabis that target the endocannabinoid system. -

If you weren't so certain that my answers must be f'd up because you know, cannabis, you might see that my answers have been perfectly sensible. Intentionally or not, you seem stoned as you are unable or unwilling to comprehend today. McGee is right, my answer was overly simplistic and so incorrect. Epidiolex has so far been approved to treat two specific seizure disorders. Forgive me please as I was trying to make the point about an educated versus uneducated doctor and didn't want to get overly detailed about various seizure disorders. Back to the original discussion.....Have you seen the CNN special Weed, centering around Charlotte Figi? Charlotte has Dravet Syndrome, one of the two conditions now treated with Epidiolex. She was having over 100 seizures every day. Her parents, as a last resort, tried treating her with cannabis concentrates. They got very lucky and stumbled upon cannabis concentrates made with high CBD strains. It was effective and reduced the kid's seizure count down to 1 or so a week. Prior to Epidiolex, most treatment options for Dravet's were largely unsatisfactory. They did not use cannabinoids. Patients with this condition often did not live for very many years as the seizures were largely uncontrolled. Today, a doctor educated in the endocannabinoid system, will know Epidiolex addresses the root cause of this illness. Rather than taking a hit or miss approach with other seizure treatments, the educated physician can today pinpoint the cause as cannabinoid related. A doctor unaware of the endocannabinoid system may still cling to the traditional anti-seizure medicines. -

Why the intentional confusion today? A doctor knowledgeable in the body's endocannabinoid system is the doctor more likely to know that a cannabinoid related signaling flaw is causing the problem with the epileptic child. Rather than running through the traditional course of maybe a dozen epilepsy medicines, the educated doctor is able to home in on the cannabis based solution much sooner, perhaps saving the child's life. -

Intentionally confused? Seems so but ok. Just because a doctor can infer that cells are communicating does not mean he/she understands the endocannabinoid system or how to treat an apparent problem with that communication network. Epidiolex, the cannabis based epilepsy drug, seems to reduce seizures dramatically. It operates on the endocannabinoid system and seems to dampen over activity. It was recently approved by the FDA to treat epileptic children. Would you want to take your (hypothetically) epileptic child to a doctor that understands the faulty signaling mechanism or an under educated doctor that does not? While both doctors may know that something is wrong with your kid, one will know how to address the problem and one likely will not. -

Tommy, you dog! Here for what now, almost 5 years, you have lead us all to believe that you were an ignorant #######. You dog! You were playing possum weren't you? You knew all this stuff all along but just pretended to be a stupid fukstick. Gosh, I am embarrassed as I was fooled into thinking you were really just a huge *****. You sort of misstated what I said to give yourself a shot at a cute reply or so it seems. All doctors know cells communicate. Only those that understand the workings of the endocannabinoid system however know that this signaling should be taking place and so know better how to treat their patients when it is not. What I said was: "You may be comfortable with a doctor that doesn't know about a cellular communication network present in nearly every organ, but I am not. I would prefer a doctor that actually knew how and why he was treating me rather than one that didn't and worse yet, didn't feel the need to learn. " Obviously some here know all of there is to know about the endocannabinoid system but for those that may still have questions this Q&A article explains its importance. http://www.projectcbd.org/science/endocannabinoid-system-and-biology-wellness from the article Project CBD: Greg, as a neuroscientist I think you could shed light on some basic questions I think a lot of people have as interest in cannabis therapeutics has grown so dramatically around the country. Let’s start with the endocannabinoid system, why cannabis works. What is the endocannabinoid system? Why is it important? Gerdeman: The endocannabinoid system is really how cannabis works in the body. Although cannabis has many different chemical constituents and it interacts in the body in a lot of dynamic ways. But really, I think one of the biggest breakthroughs in biomedical science is in the last hundred years, is understanding the receptors that THC and other cannabinoids interact with. And, the body’s own THC-like molecules, and the family of molecules that we call the endocannabinoids and how they interact with cells, with organs, with entire systems of the human being and other animals. And now we have gotten a really strong understanding of how much the physiology of humans is integrated using the endocannabinoid system. It helps organ systems and signaling systems like your hormones and your nervous system and your immune system, your gut, it helps that interaction actually get accomplished – these signaling molecules that act very much like THC -
