DR is on ignore for me. Thanks for the support. Yeah, he knows he is on ignore and so likes to use that opportunity to appear to have the last and definitive word. I have tried to take him off ignore several times but time after time, he proves he can't really control himself. He cannot seem to disagree without badgering and insulting. He cannot seem to accept a 'let us wait and see' stance. Realizing he didn't deserve the second/third/fourth chances, I put him back on ignore. I truly believe that once he was an honest researcher but somewhere along the line, he lost his objectivity. He has fallen into the narrative that Trump was wronged by everyone that suspected there might be wrongdoing in his 2016 campaign. His flawed logic seems to go that since Trump was wronged then and Mueller did not find sufficient evidence to bring any conspiracy charges, that the guy is a now proven saint. The story goes that Trump was illegally investigated and so any future investigations are therefore also unwarranted and in fact, illegitimate attempts to overthrow the President. I did mentioned flawed, right? When he has no good answer, DR provides torrents of unasked answers and has done just that when supposedly answering this question. I have never seen a location or office holding these surveillance tapes nor an explanation of why none have surfaced anywhere in anyone's hearing or trial or why none have been leaked. He cuts and pastes pages of chaffe essentially. Others do this too but DR overwhelms with his prolific 'research'. Fine research perhaps, but often not really answers. Then too, he has been on ignore so I may have missed it but at this point this appears to just be another DR lie. So, to summarize.....His opinions are facts. Your facts are just ill informed opinions. Basically he is too brilliant and his logic flawless. No one knows more. Since he puts in the most time on research, he must know the most truth. No one else's sources of information are credible. If a source was credible but now states anything negative against the President, they are now evil and no longer credible. Oh, and if you read or watch CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, BBC, MSNBC, among others, you support pedophiles and likely are a pedophile. Did I mention 'flawed'?

Why have none of those thousands of recordings not surfaced in some hearing or another? Where are they? Comey's basement? Hillary's Ukrainian server? Where is all that stuff?

This is unfortunate. The repetition of the 'witch hunt' mantra has convinced so many that the whole Mueller investigation should never have happened and that it found absolutely nothing. The 'Boy Who Cried Wolf' has been used by some as the basic reasoning to no longer listen to anyone accusing the President. This is a foolish position as it essentially means there should be no further oversight of Trump's actions. I pointed out somewhere before that the primary lesson of the Boy Who Cried Wolf tale, was that liars won't be believed in the future. In the end though the sheep got eaten because the Boy's cries of Wolf were ignored by those that should still have been listening for the warnings. Even if you think the Boy is a little jerk and you don't really care for mutton, you should still be helping to protect the sheep.

I will confess I don't know a lot of Ukrainian history. The testimonies I have seen have mentioned that the President's actions appeared to them to be for his personal political benefit. In addition, your explanation doesn't excuse Trump urging China to investigate the Bidens from the WH lawn. There is no doubt to me that there will always be a position that can be taken that makes Trump's actions 'perfect'. I just don't think those positions reflect the truth. Either hundreds have tossed aside their integrity to make up lies about Trump or Trump is lying. I know where I would place my money.

The most likely answer I heard was that he was the first witness, tried to cover for the boss initially, was contradicted by later testimony/texts, and had to correct in order to avoid jail on perjury charges. If possible, put yourself in Zelensky's shoes. He MUST get US aid or his country may be taken over by Russia, correct? Trump has the ability to alter foreign policy for possibly several years ahead. Zelensky was put in a position where he could offend Trump and sink his nation with the wrong answer. I can't say he lied, but he really only had one possible answer in that situation. The aid was withheld for quite a while, even into September. The Ukrainians learned of the hold up apparently in August. Zelensky was preparing to make the announcement of the investigations Trump wanted when the whistle blower story broke. Two days later, if I recall, the Ukrainian funds were released. That timing suggests Trump was trying to get his personal political favors using the aid money as leverage. Acting properly only after getting caught does not excuse the attempt.

Good post. I don't necessarily agree with all the points but you make many good ones. I don't expect oversight inquiries to die down. The guy creates unethical situations in machine like fashion and so, the inquiries will proceed at an equal pace.

Why further goose an economy that is great? That is shooting ammo that we may need if the economy takes a hard downturn. At least that is what I have read. So, why? To make it look better for the voters, imo. Appearances are more important than reality to our former reality TV personality. Given a choice of solving a problem in secret versus appearing to, but not actually, solving the problem in public, Trump would choose to look good every time. Recall those business leader summits? Nothing came of them but they were terrific photo ops. Recall the Parkland School survivor summit? Same Congressional Leader meetings on guns? Drugs? Same. Same. North Korean summits? Same. Appearances over substance. Trump would favor a course that looked better to the voters even if it did not solve the problem. That describes BLS meddling perfectly.

Also, are you sure he wouldn't pressure the BLS to help him win the 2020 election? He pressures foreign governments to help him win. He pressures the Fed Chair to make his economy look better. He pressured his Attorney Generals several times, etc. But, with the 2020 election hanging in the balance, you are sure he wouldn't pressure the BLS. And, you are so sure because why? His honesty, ethics, track record, or what?

Sure, their are probably a lot of folks that work in the government that don't like Trump. The 'do anything to defend status quo', though would describe far, far fewer. Consider that some of these folks have basically trashed their careers in order to speak up. Also, in this environment, some are risking the safety of themselves and their families. All of these people can't be making up BS stories, risking their lives, families, and livelihoods. Let me ask you a serious question. Is it possible that Trump has done misdeeds and those misdeeds prompted some principled career bureaucrats to take the above mentioned risks?
