  1. I totally agree. If Kerry wins, as much as I think he'd be a horrible president, I will still support him. Not nearly as much as I do President Bush, but support I will. I feel like people on the left wish death of our President, I wouldn't never do that.
  2. Well here we are ... one day to go and a country completely divided. If this was the 1800s, civil war would be brewing in America and I'd be moving out of NY into Texas to fight for the right. So what happens if Bush wins? What happens if Kerry wins? If Bush wins, I think you get some pissed off people but after a month or so mostly everyone will be fine because the fact of the matter is America is safer and the economy is going back up. President Bush has shown he can rally Americans, I don't see anything in John Kerry that shows me that he can do that as well. If Kerry wins, I think the hatred between the left and the right will only get worse. I truly do not believe Kerry is capable of running his own household with stability let alone the greatest country in the world during this turbulent time. I can't see how people stand behind a man whose own party is waffering at backing him. I don't think the dems are happy with John Kerry as their candidate. If Kerry wins, four years from now, I think its almost a lock that the Republicans win the next Presidential election. As divided as this country is now, I think it will only get worse with Kerry.
  3. < LEFT ------------------ MIDDLE ------------------ RIGHT > -----|----------------------------------| CNN/MSNBC----------------------Fox News Fox is as close to fair and balanced as we can get. At least they report on the good and bad of the left, CNN reports just the bad of the right.
  4. If you want to play the numbers game ... 3,000+ innocents on 9/11. President Bush said the world would hear us ... and they did. Don't be stupid and think he took his eye off the ball because there are troops ravaging everyday through all of the world looking for UBL. Terrorism is not just UBL, terrorism is everywhere.
  5. Because they thought he'd be just like Bill Clinton ... afraid to stick his neck out. They believed that we'd close our borders and shut out the entire world and not go after them. They were wrong.
  6. Further makes me want to vote for President Bush. If terrorists around the world don't want our President re-elected, isn't that saying something about the job he's doing? Terrorists fear and hate President Bush. They ran rampant prior to 9/11 and President Bush has done the right thing in going on the offensive. They guys are scum and we need someone that doesn't waiver leading our country. Hell, if I were President, and someone lifted their finger against the US, I'd flatten whatever country they were hiding in ... no questions asked. But I'm crazy like that.
  7. No spin needed, take out the Top 5% in those top 10 states and then all the states are pretty much even. Hell, you need the extra money to pay for all the taxes and fees we have here. For example, take out the Top 5% in NY, and you get WNY. Anyone know WNY's annual pay? It's horrible, no where near NY's 46k.
  8. The thing is, who comes crying to the US when these civil wars and genocides happen. Its ok for us to fight for something that doesn't affect our country but its not ok to fight for our security? The UN is crap.
  9. I second that. The world in general does not like the USA. There are a few nations (England, Poland, etc.) that respect us and stand with us but even in those nations, a great number of people would like to see us knocked down every now and then. But when the next global threat comes about, whether its from or out of this world, everyone will turn to us. They hate us, but we need us.
  10. I thought it was pretty evident why I am Republican. 1. We need a strong leader, not a world follower. 2. I support the war on terror and the war in Iraq because they are both the same. 3. I'm not a minority. I'm a middle class person with a small business and Bush protects me, my family and my interests a lot better. 4. Republicans are Patriots while Democrats protest and want us to think that our country is always doing the wrong thing when they're not in power. 5. Republicans are pretty consistent in their views and beliefs, hence conservative. Democrats change their views so much its too hard to follow, hence liberal. 6. I like my country to be steady, confident and the world's leader. I don't see any of that in John Kerry. You're right, I don't remember the 60s or 70s but I do remember when most of the country was getting the economic boom of the 90s, we were losing jobs & people. As for Pataki, A republican governor in a state run by liberals is a wash. And the only ones that are close-minded are those in the left. They HATE Bush and dont care to look at what good he has done in his four years which because of 9/11 could have been disasterous for our nation. I will never be open-minded to a group whose platform is simply the take the opposite approach of their opponent's because they hate him so much and what him out.
  11. Hey DC Tom, can you just remove that post I made yesterday. Obviously I was misleading the entire board when I said "This Just In... JOhn KErry is a joke!". Obviously we've known that for quite some time. Is that humor OK to have in this post? In all seriousness, my bitter distaste for the left and everything they stand for gets the best of my many times. To me, Democrats have no platform. They simply take views which they constantly flip-flop to gain votes. They go after the minority votes (blacks, hispanics, women, gays, etc.) in hopes of getting enough of these groups to out vote the right's majorities. Whatever your take on Iraq is -- which I am all for it personally -- this country is obviously very divided. That being said, the only thing the left had to do is a get a decent candidate to run for office and they would win. Don't get me wrong, I don't care if they had the second coming of FDR, I'd still vote Bush because I'm republican until the end. So what's the best the democrats could do? John Kerry??? That is the best guy that party could find? It really is a sad joke, he has done nothing since being elected as a Senator. His hometown paper even endorses President Bush saying "we know John Kerry very well and we know he wouldn't be a good President." So what if he can speak well, I want a President that doesn't have to speak, a President whose actions do the speaking. I could careless about what France or Germany has to say about us. I believe the UN is no longer needed, we should stop funding the UN because they don't want what's best for us. We need to realize that the world is out to get the good ole USA. Muslims hate us that's for sure, but every other country in the world is envious of everything we have. If we need to go out and kick some ass to prove a point that we're not to be screwed with, then god damnit, we don't need the world's blessings. We are #1 and they can't stand that and would love to see us suffer. There is a reason we are the best country in the world, because we don't give in ... ever. Going back to my orginal point, I think the democratic party is in big trouble after this election. There are too many good Republican leaders (Rudy, McCain, Jeb, etc.) that can run and will win. The democrats have what ... Hilary Clinton and John Edwards? That's not good if you ask me. I hope that states like NY, Ohio, and Penn soon realize that the reason they keep missing out on the economic booms that hit the entire nation and why they continue to lose jobs & people is not because of DC or the President, it's because of their liberal politicans. How long is NY going to vote left when it has done the state nothing but wrong for countless decades. There is a need to vote for change, and that change is in these states. I'm a 23 year old UB grad as of this past May. My demo says I should vote for Kerry but it really makes no sense to me why that is? What is he promising us that makes him a better choice? Absolutely nothing. In 2000, I was 19 and an independant. I voted for President Bush because I seen the flaws of the left at that young age. Now, four years later I work full time for a major coporation and own my own small business. Four years later, I see even more that President Bush is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better for me, my future, my family and the safety of all three.
  12. The thing is ... you can't. Which amazes me why we don't try this Republican thing that seemed to work for the entire south for at least a couple of years. I love the Brian Higgins commericals that blame WNY's misfortune on President Bush. Personally, I did not know that President Bush also supported the tax policies that Higgins continues to vote to increase time and time again.
  13. BTW: I never look at NY losing electoral votes as a bad thing. That simply means less electoral votes for the liberal northeast and more electoral votes for the conservative south. One day, I envision our great state realizing that maybe our state sucks because we have tax-happy liberals running it for the longest time. If there is ever a place to vote for change, it's in NY State.
  14. Polls mean absolutely nothing unless you look at it at the state by state level. Looking at the electoral map on the link below, I feel this election is going to come down to Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Bush is holding on to Florida pretty well and slightly holds Ohio. Kerry slightly holds Pennsylvania but they are the biggest Pro-Life state in America. My prediction, the person that wins two of those three states wins the election. I don't see Bush losing Florida. Good news for Righties like me, we need one more to win! http://www.uselectionatlas.org/USPRESIDENT.../2004/polls.php
  15. Even if Kerry is right, which he isn't, I guess the Aghan fighters didn't have 25 million reasons to capture OBL. Bottom line is OBL -- if he is still alive -- can't surface, and if he can't surface, he can't lead the terrorists because the second his head pops out, he's a goner.
  16. An unborn child never brutually kill anyone. They deserve to live. Some pyscho that killed 10 people doesn't. It's not being a hypocrit, it's just using common sense.
  17. Very constructive thread. Haha. But I'd surely tap Laura Bush before Hilary Clinton and definately tap either of the Bush daughters before Chelsea.
  18. YOU MEAN ... Probably because Democrats are too tired from working the two jobs they had to take to replace the one that got outsourced to a one legged, 10 year old in some third world country because the stupid lib thought doing his easy ass job at a ridiculously high wage would last forever.
  19. What was the website? www.kerryplanoftheweek.com
  20. If you have half a brain and listened to the what was said today, you'd realize that Kerry says ABSOLUTELY nothing of substance and that he rarely ever answers the questions. However, the guy clearly has a "plan" for everything, unfortunately he won't tell us about it ... fortunately, I think we'll never have to find out what his plan is.
  21. Any Bills fans in Cincinnati know of a good joint in Northern Cincy that will have the Bills game? Thanks, Paul
