  1. I'd vote for McCain in that race. Hell, I'd even have voted for him over Kerry. If not for Bush's lies and personal attacks against a POW war hero, McCain would likely be starting his second term instead of our fearless leader Dubya.
  2. Neither am I, but I see fat people. They're everywhere.
  3. The fat jokes about Moore get kind of tired after a while - Americans are mostly fat anyway. Like him or not, at least he's politically active and tries to do things to affect change in a system that too often fails. There are way too many people that have the opposite problem and do absolutely nothing but watch TV, as you're so fond of saying. He sure does make some peoples' blood boil - kinda like Dubya in a way.
  4. Actually it looks like a montage of American Soldiers who have died in Iraq. Somewhat provacative, yet still rather tasteless.
  5. Yep, you sure are good at playing both sides.
  6. Hey Dubya...why the chimp face?
  7. Again, although my ideology obviously leans to the left, I would not consider myself a Democrat. Who do you think should have been the Democratic nominee?
  8. All 3. Luckily for Dubya the "Base" is not swayed by such unimportent things.
  9. Perhaps you would have been happier staying home on election day. Sorry, couldn't resist.
  10. It's a shame we didn't get one. Please don't confuse stupidity, blind faith and stubborness with moral character.
  11. You should go to the game.
  12. There's a lot of truth in what you say, but I'm not going to apologize for the way I feel. I guess that given my age and interests, I've never been very much into politics before. I've never before looked at two major candidates and thought to myself "that guy is heads and shoulders above the other". I've never worried that "if that guys is elected, we're all screwed". This time is different. I do think that Bush is incompetent. I do think that his party is preaching to thier base on values issues, while screwing them economically - the conservative base being manipulated while big business is reaping the benifits. I think the war is wrong and that the aftermath is being bungled by those who care more about profiting from it than ending it. We contine to run up an enormous deficit that our children's children's children will have to deal with for years to come. Yet the Bible Belt is happy. Call me elitist if you wish, but these are my beliefs.
  13. I think I read that that was a practice started by Jimbo in the 90's that has been carried on up till today. I would imagine that RJ didn't have to pay up very often.
  14. Maybe you should stop gloating for a minute, put down the pom-poms and kool aid, look at your own personal economic situation and decide whether or not the candiate of your registered party was the right man for the job.
  15. I'm not pretending that Kerry would have been our savior - but I have an idea of the abilities of the guy that just got elected. You're right, we Americans are all a bunch of IDIOTS.
  16. Sorry, buddy, I just can't swallow that pill. I find absolutely no common ground with the people we are referring to and refuse to lump myself in with them. I cannot in good conscience support this president after all he's done over the past 4 years. I have a feeling that there are many people that share this sentiment and that does not bode well for a president who did so much to divide this country in the first place. But what does he care - he's in for 4 more years.
  17. This isn't about "me" putting forth a candidate, as I'm a registered Independent. I may lean to the left, but there are certainly potential Republican candidates that I would choose over Kerrry. It's about choosing the right man for the job, or in this case, keeping the wrong man out of office. The only good that can possibly come from this result is that no matter what, Dubya will be gone in 2008. You think you won something, but like many in the Republican base, you're obviously voting with your feelings and not with your mind. Nobody won today, especially not America.
  18. Call it sour grapes if you like, but now we will all get to see our once great country run into the ground with bad economic policies and even worse foreign policies. Many of you are acting like this is a great victory for our nation (or like your team just won the Super Bowl - I'm not sure you can tell the difference). We should have let the redneck south seceed when we had the chance. Now the Bible Belt chooses for the rest of us. Wonderful.
  19. God help us.
  20. What an insensitive prick you are.
  21. No, I made your mom dress like a biker slut and vote straight ticket while calling me 'daddy'.
  22. Ahhhhhh, closed-minded partisan politics...how refreshing.
  23. But the real question is do you really have a mullet?
  24. I don't know - the fact that it is even up for a vote might be showing a great deal of change, slow as it may be. This would have been unthinkable during the height of the war on drugs.
  25. How's that marijuana vote going by the way?
