  1. And don't let anyone ever tell you that you are not a classy guy!
  2. You definately strike me as being a victim.
  3. I love the contest rules, but this might have to be moved to PPP if you add many more. I'm going for the $150 Spread-the-Wealth clause by picking a win against the Patriots* in week 1. Week 1 Mon, Sep 14 @ New England Patriots* W Week 2 Sun, Sep 20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers W Week 3 Sun, Sep 27 New Orleans Saints L Week 4 Sun, Oct 04 @ Miami Dolphins L Week 5 Sun, Oct 11 Cleveland Browns W Week 6 Sun, Oct 18 @ New York Jets L Week 7 Sun, Oct 25 @ Carolina Panthers L Week 8 Sun, Nov 01 Houston Texans W Week 9 Sun, Nov 08 BYE Week 10 Sun, Nov 15 @ Tennessee Titans L Week 11 Sun, Nov 22 @ Jacksonville Jaguars W Week 12 Sun, Nov 29 Miami Dolphins W Week 13 Thu, Dec 03 New York Jets (Toronto) W Week 14 Sun, Dec 13 @ Kansas City Chiefs W Week 15 Sun, Dec 20 New England Patriots *L Week 16 Sun, Dec 27 @ Atlanta Falcons L Week 17 Sun, Jan 03 Indianapolis Colts W 9-7 - I hope we get at least one more, but of course it's more likely that we get exactly two less.
  4. I'm sure the whole study is available if you care to challenge your worldview.
  5. Our morals are hard-wired, but not because we're Americans. I've posted a link to this article before. http://www.news.harvard.edu/gazette/2007/0.../15-hauser.html
  6. Wow, you're really reaching now.
  7. Seriously? Why is homeopathy still around? I suspect it has something to do with how counter-intuitive the idea is. It should be next to impossible to argure with facts, but sadly that is not the case and unimaginative people tend to believe what they want to believe.
  8. So does this mean that 'enhanced interrogation techniques' are un-patriotic?
  9. Back from the dead! Certainly not a smoking gun, but one man's view on the efficacy of torture. http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/05/13/int...ring/index.html
  10. I would imagine that living in NYC really grids your gears.
  11. I agree. Tax the fatties!
  12. I'm not really pushing this too hard because I don't feel too strongly either way, but your statement is nothing more than an uninformed opinion.
  13. Just to play devil's advocate, if the state is breaking even then why care about this?
  14. How is selling dime bags not working?
  15. At least as interesting as watching grass grow!
  16. Ever stop to consider that you might be a lone wacko with a silly idea here?
  17. Surely you can find something more reasonable to B word about so incessantly.
  18. I always thought he was more like Steven Colbert than anything. It seems to me like he's intentionally portraying a stereotype.
  19. As far as wackos go, he's very entertaining. He also purposely goes over the line sometimes which is probably where this whole Brit thing is coming from. As far as I can tell his whole act is an act. He's seems like he's a pretty smart guy. Now I don't know that I'd fantasize about sharing a quiet evening with a couple of bottles of wine with him, not that there's anything wrong with that.
  20. How much quackery can one fit into just one email?
  21. Now THAT part wasn't very nice, highlighting one of the ugly sides of organized belief-based organizations.
  22. Glad you took that as intended.
  23. Yes, they are both human. That's what you get when you make movie stars and beauty pageant contestants your idols. Incidentally, Mel Gibson got a DUI which is poor judgment and a divorce, just like 50% of married Americans. The girl dated an olympian who smoked pot but treats his body more as a temple than you could ever dream of and went after easy money. Big deal. Everybody has flaws. Look inward before spouting all this holier-than-thou stuff.
