  1. As i know the american channels are boroadcasting the games the same way the french ones do (they show only the americans as in France we only see the french competitors), if you can and 'd like to see the real great moments of the competition: watch them on the canadian channels. (if i watch anything i will do it watching the spanish channels... at least they'll show some basketball there ...)
  2. my only prediction: i will not watch the Olympics I don't care!
  3. that article is just frightening! It makes a failure of the chef d'oeuvre of Dr Guillotin (who invented the guillotine so that execution 'd be as painless as possible)
  4. well at least the pain does not last long!
  5. Ranucci was the last person executed (and "guillotined") in France in 1976.
  6. that's because he's french! 5 legal weeks + the 35 hours/ week additionnal days!
  7. We may have a few guillotines for sale. They have not been used since the mid 70ies but you can not find a better way to execute "without pain"
  8. The guy is some kind of a minor celebrity here, a funnier version of Jackass, check is nimportequi.com site , he does a lot more than kicking soccer balls! his "streets olympics" are one of the funniest internet video ever!
  9. That three team race in the Al east is getting more interesting each passing day... Should be a great end of the season to watch!
  10. Great Job Joe!! There's some really good ones!
  11. Man!! You want me to become the usual "those americans are cavemen cowboys that have no idea about anything" french anti american or what?!!! Chartreuse is the best after dinner liquor ever invented!! This is THE pousse café!!! Mix it with Tequila (1/3 Tequila, 2/3 Green Chartreuse) and you get a "Screaming Lizard"... now that's dynamite!
  12. Don't know for the names but hope you put some Chartreuse in the green cocktails of the Packers, Eagles or Jets!
  13. well it could also mean decontraction, confidence, that he was comfortable, happy to be there... that's the thing with those "body language" and other communication "sciences" you always can spin it the way you want to!
  14. Exactly!! More than 20% of marriages in France are either interracial and/or international... All i hope is that the 21st Century is the one when the World will get rid of the dubious concept of race.
  15. Well Canada's uniforms at least are original. I agree the men's ones are a little too much but the girls' are nice and modern looking. It's way better than countries like Australia or Spain who are looking like they are working for Qantas or Iberia! Nice job Ralph Lauren, it makes the US team looks like wasp snobs but in terms of product placement and showing what you do to the world you can not do better!
  16. I still have a 1988 Bills T shirt i bought the first time i 've visited the US and WNY. Don't wear it as much as i used to , hoping it can survive a few more years...
  17. I love all kinds of football and never get bored watching a game, NFL or third french league division it does not matter, i love it... but, and even if i've really tried, i can not watch more than two drives of Arena football, as they show lot of games on some channel here. I really don't understand what so great to watch a game with about 90% of the drives ending with a TD pass. And by the way is there a worst job in pro sports than being a part of an AFL defense?! Maybe i'm missing something or do not focus on what i should... Any Arena football fans here that could explain me what they like in that sport?
  18. totally agree with you about Cowart.
  19. sarcasm sarcasm maybe but don't forget TKO was playing in the middle of an awful D and doing it all by himself... His tackles totals during his Bengals years were insane if i remember well while guys like Brooks, Lewis, Greene or Thomas were playing in very good Ds and could focus on more visible tasks like INT or sacks...
  20. I'm surprised that in the rich history of the Redskins they have not found a better third LB than Lavar Arrington!
  21. During his Cincinnati years Takeo was the best LB in the league. He should be in the Bengals list.
  22. he bought the Blazers because the Sonics were not for sale... Now to save the Sonics he had to sale the Blazers and then buy the Sonics... well after almost 20 years as owner of the Blazers i can understand he chose to keep the Blazers even if that meant seeing his childhood team move.
  23. it's the same all over the world... even here in Europe where fans are sometimes going too far i see year after year hockey, rugby, soccer stadiums becoming souless, quiet , cold, "pasteurised" arenas... Ticket prices, luxury boxes and new "modern" arenas are changing the whole stadium "experience"... i go more and more to minor league/ second division places where things remain much more authentic...
  24. What makes things even worse for the Sonics fans is that Seattle son Paul Allen was a huge Sonics fan, he 'd have preferred to buy them than to buy the Blazers back in (i think) 88 ... The Sonics were not for sale then.
  25. well visit the Netherlands... Last time i went there it did not look civilisation was in danger...
