  1. Jets gave up a second and a 4th to move up! Too high, IMO The Bills are going to sit tight and still get one of the top receivers...
  2. So the draft starts at 3:00 tomorrow, correct? Funny that's not *really* obvious on nfl.com/draft - get me their marketing guys... Didn't the draft used to start earlier (seems like I remember a morning / noon draft party in the past). As for the coverage, I think I'll be flipping around and of course on the computer!
  3. Can't remember the game (or even the year for that matter), but Moulds had a beautful diving, one-handed grab and in mid-air he tucked and landed in a perfect summersault. It was a thing of beauty to watch live...
  4. Clearly you didn't read the "Absolutely sickening" thread - Ralph won't be making any meetings anymore
  5. I've cooked with Saffron before, my only advice is to use it sparingly! That stuff is strong and has a distinct taste, but I guess that's why it's so loved... Maybe you should just sell it on eBay, that Saffron is expensive stuff.
  6. Yeah, because flight issues never happen; clearly Turner hates Buffalo
  7. If anyone has any doubts about what Marv is trying to put together, they should go pick up his book. Reading through it'll become pretty clear what he's trying to do in Buffalo... Good post, by the way!
  8. Chris Brown's blog from BB.com - well put: "SPIKES, HOLCOMB TRADE: I have to commend the Bills on this move. They clear some salary space and help to address a need on the interior of their defensive line. Even better Walker is still under contract through the 2008 season at reasonable money ($1.3M base in 2007 and $1.4M base in 2008). Holcomb really wasn't a fit in Steve Fairchild's offense. He's a better fit for the horizontal passing attack of a west coast offense, so he should serve a purpose in Philly. Walker is a hard-nosed defensive tackle who can penetrate. His sack totals are impressive for an interior player, although playing with two good defensive ends helped in Cole and Kearse (when healthy). I like that Walker has been durable and though he is 30-years old, he won't have to play 50 plays a game in Buffalo's rotational system, so he should be able to stay fresh. I expect him to work with Larry Tripplett at the 3-technique position and rotate through. I'm wondering if this means that John McCargo will become a full time nose tackle or one-technique and rotate with Kyle Williams. We'll have to see. I'm hearing the conditional pick is a seventh rounder for Holcomb. It's really tough to see Spikes leave knowing the warrior he was when healthy, but I don't think the Bills felt they could afford to wait another season to see if Spikes would return to full form. Spikes' last two games last season were pretty productive and I understand his performance in those two games is what sold the Eagles on him. Unfortunately the odds are against NFL players who try to return from achilles injuries. Sure everyone references Seattle's Julian Peterson, but he is an exception to the rule. Chicago's Mike Brown still isn't right after missing most of last season. Philadelphia's Todd Pinkston struggled in his return to form last year. Sam Cowart was never the same player. I'm never one to doubt Spikes and his incredible will, but the statistics build a compelling case against him. Still I wish him luck. He was a stand up locker room guy and very active in the community. "
  9. I like the paragraph on the front page of his site: "The off-season has begun, and I am looking forward to my training regimen. However, in the meantime my wife and I just had our 1st baby, and we are loving every minute. I look forward to smashing QB’s next season, but right now I have to tend to my future QB killa." Hopefully he'll be smashing 'em for us! http://www.darwinwalker.com/default.asp
  10. Wait, I think global warming is supposed to affect *Polar bears* not *Panda bears*...
  11. When I first saw this I thought we were talking about "Butter". Anyone remember that guy?
  12. It all depends on how we replace Willis... The real question they should be asking is why did we take a BROKEN Willis when we already had a 1,200 yard back on our roster? Obviously Travis is *still* good enough for the Broncos and probably would have had a nice career here. Hell, at least he was a Bills fan! All in all I think the deal will work our for both Buffalo and Baltimore. It's sure been a fun off-season if nothing else...
  13. That was a good read I suppose. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... Here's a Baltimore sports writer that feels the opposite way about Willie Mac: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/footbal...column?prov=tbd
  14. So wait, they're trading Brady to Notre Dame!? Way to start the day with a roll of the eyes and a laugh...
  15. The question was "Which team made the best free agent move this Friday?" TD answered with the 49er's for taking steps to "shore up their secondary." Riggggght... Schefter answered Buffalo. He said Buffalo took a lot of steps to shore up their O line and they had to, they lost Nate, they're going to lose other players Like London Baker. Fletcher. They signed Dockery, they signed Langson, big moves from Buffalo. Nice to see us getting some props!!
  16. Guess they didn't get the message about Walker!
  17. The first blurb was that Nate is about to sign with the 49'ers. Seems like a best case scenario to me! They mentinoed the Dockery deal.
  18. So, uhhhh, when is the home opener again!? And people actually *doubted* that Marv Levy, MARV FREEKING LEVY, has at least some clue how to run a football team?
  19. I guess there's little doubt that Marv understands that it starts up front. They talked about getting O-Line help and they went and got it! Three, THREE O-line guys in the first day? A 7 year 49 Million dollar deal!? From cheap Ralph I really wonder what's next? There is still talk out there of trading Willis and cutting TKO (I'll cry by the way, that guy is a GOD, though an injured god). Wonder if they would still try and find the money to get Nate back? I wonder who they would think about getting to play RB? Anyone think all of this makes Willis want to pick up the phone and say "Uh, Marv, I was just kidding, I'd *love* to stay in Buffalo and run behind these guys, ya' know what'I'mean?" Seems like the start of a fun offseason and good thing in Buffalo! When is the opener again?? Trust in Marv, Trust in Marv!!!
  20. Rotoworld is citing bb.com as the source. Here's the link to Brown's article: http://buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?blogger_id=1 That Roto quote is so misleading it's not even funny. Brown is just speculating about Rhodes because he's a FA and comparing him to Willis. It doesn't say the Bills are LOOKING for an all-purpose back, just that they WANT one - just like every other team in the league! It's like me saying - An article on BB.com says that the Bills are looking at Dominic Rhodes this off season, saying that "He'd be a primary target of the Bills."
  21. It's funny that they don't see the bigger picture in this project... For the Bills to be successful in WNY they need to get local business to purchase the luxury suites. I'm sure companies purchasing those suites currently are bringing in clients from other parts of the country who are looking at our stadium and saying "nice, but damn this place seems old" (which it is). Now you throw up some new tech gadgets (huge HD scoreboard and ribbon scoreboards on the side) and it's going to make the Ralph look like it's part of the 20th century. If these fools don't think that perception doesn't play a role in business deals, recruiting and therefore the purchase of luxury suites, they're crazy. Not to mention the perception of people all around the country that see our stadium on TV when their team plays here (since we don't get any national games . I just really don't WHY anyone would be against giving our stadium a facelift that is going to improve people's perception of Buffalo...
