  1. Dude, who freaking cares? He's happy where he is, the Bills said "we'd like you to interview", he considered and said no. What is the big deal? I've had some opportunities to interview for jobs (at higher level positions) and have said no as well. Because, wait for it, I'm *happy* where I am. More responsibility, a better title and a higher pay grade doesn't automatically = happiness. The guys got a good thing going, no need to be a hater...
  2. Heck of a series by our old friend, Jason Peters.
  3. OMG, per Schefter's Twitter: "Before Pete Carroll surfaced, Eagles GM Tom Heckert and Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta pulled out of Seahawks GM race." Clearly Heckert and DeCosta have ALREADY been hired by the Bills as our next GMs! Dooooooomed! How in hell are we going to operate with THREE General Manager!?!?
  4. Per Schefter's Twitter: "It's likely to be a New England reunion: Now that Charlie Weis has agreed to work in Kansas City, Romeo Crennel will not be far behind." They're getting the band back together man...
  5. According to respected (and resident) sports writer John Wawrow "Frazier's been a hot commodity for some time now. and the bills have already addressed the Rooney rule when they met with Perry. he is a good coach, with a solid reputation, who's just missed out on several other jobs over the past few years. am told he might even be the best coordinator candidate out there. ... that remains to be seen, but he's a sure-fire candidate." I'll take JW's opinion before yours, unless you have some credentials you'd like to let us all know about. If not, please go back to crying about something else...
  6. Talking about it on NFLN. Jason Lackenfor doesn't see it happening. They think maybe Cower is still waiting for Carolina, Tampa is still in the running...
  7. They were just talking about April on Sirius. Said that he might be the first ST coach to get a million dollar offer and they speculated that the Giants might be a landing spot for him (and if DJ becomes D Coord., there's that connection too).
  8. Thanks for the scoop guys! Jack, if we're in the lot, we'll stop by!!
  9. ^ thanks for the advice Hammer, I'll check it out. Anything going on at your lot this game? I'm almost on the "in & out" program for tomorrow
  10. Still nothing on this, huh? Looks like it's gonna be a cold one (shocker) and my grill is up in VT (it didn't make the holiday trip , so I'm considering some different tailgate options. I'm staying up in Buffalo so at least I won't have to make the drive, but it would be ideal to roll to a bar, have some drinks and get someone else to drive to the game... Will the Big Tree be a mad house tomorrow? Any other good options near the stadium? If not, I guess it's a Wally World grill and lunch in the Jeep M
  11. "Bills' decision to hire Nix draws criticism..." ...from Jerry Sullivan and Mike Florio - SHOCKER!
  12. Is this thread supposed to be talking about Nix? He was the Southeast region scout, unless they moved Penn State Maybin probably wasn't his choice...
  13. It fits except for the fact that Brandon has never promoted a GM from within and the Bills have never hired Nix as GM before making the quote basically irrelevant here...
  14. Per Wiki: "Nix came to the San Diego Chargers with John Butler and A. J. Smith from the Buffalo Bills where the three were instrumental in building the Bills into NFL contention through the NFL Draft. Butler had died during the Chargers rebuilding years, Smith was promoted to General Manager, and Nix to Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel. Nix was employed by the Chargers from 1993 to 2000. Nix's job with the Chargers was to oversee both pro and college scouting and to be one of the main decision makers in each NFL Draft. Nix was a major reason the Chargers turned around from a losing football team to a rebuilt, winning team. In 2004, three players Nix drafted were selected to the 2005 Pro Bowl. In 2005, six players Nix drafted were selected to the 2006 Pro Bowl. In 2006, eleven players Nix drafted were selected to the 2007 Pro Bowl. In 2007, eight players Nix drafted were selected to the 2008 Pro Bowl. Nix is considered by some to be one of the top five talent evaluators in the NFL. The Chargers won four out of the last five AFC West titles with Nix as Assistant GM and Director of Player Personnel, in charge of college scouting and instrumental to the decision making process of their NFL drafts." DOOOOOMED!

  16. so JP was in for one play? That was as bad as Trent's series today...
  17. I think you're wrong saying Mitchell has never played with him - on his Twitter, Mitchell made it pretty clear that he *had* played against Incognito and made it sound as if Incognito had "gone after" him (i.e. tried to hurt him).
  18. That place is *empty*, for such a barnburner too...
  19. Dude, didn't you hear - he's holding out for a new contract! He's a starter at LG and should be paid as such! Do guys realize the *potential* this kid has!?!
  20. Jimbo sayz: - Said Fitz, Freddy and Perry are on "interviews". We hoped Trent was going to be the guy, but... - Both he and the fans hoped there would be a coaching change - Mooch asked about Cali QBs! Jim is saying no Cali guys in Buffalo, calling 'em all soft! lol. - Dion ax's about conversations with Trent. Jim - you try to keep confidence up. The O line is down, not always Trent's fault. Such is life in the NFL, it's been 3 years, hoped Trent would be the guy on and off the field, but... - Faulk, look at Trent last year and the crappy O line this year. Jim - the oline did hurt Trent, but guys need to stay in Buffalo all year long and be the guy, the leader we've all been looking for. Jim wishes we had the Jets down in Buffalo this weekend, they're calling for a lot of snow!
