While I'll miss Beast Mode in Buffalo and while I would like to have seen a little more value (though two picks seems like a fair deal depending on that 2012 conditional), this deal had to be made. We don't need three RB's all competing for carries - in the end no one gets into a game flow when they all only get 5 carries a piece. Sure Marshawn / CJ could have been awesome, if we didn't have 1,000 other needs! Goodbye Marshawn, I'll pour a little of my 40 out and waive a crushed blunt in the air in your honor tonight...

If we can get the line settled and some hard hitting LBs, I think everyone will change their mind about the 3-4. The havoc a 3-4 can (potentially) create is a thing of beauty. Haven't we been playing a lot of 4 down linemen this year? Seems like we already are playing a 4-3 and that ain't working either...

I think the "three headed monster" is one too many, CJ needs to see the field on O (other than to block). We certainly can't get much freaking worse...

True, but they don't like Garrard because he's "playing scared" (behind that line, he probably IS scared). If they think that Trent is the cure for *that*, they're pinning their hopes on the wrong guy, IMO. I wish Trent well. Except when he plays the Bills...

If it makes you feel any better NE's D is 26th overall, 15th against the run and 28th against the pass. Perhaps a reason for hope...

Not really, I just picked the footage that was out there on a YouTube search. You're right that it wasn't full strength Colts team (and it was also, you know, last year), but it does show that with some time Fitz can hit some throws. He'll at least take the shot. Again, I don't know what will happen but (IMO) if we can hit just a *few* passes (or at least throw the ball down field) we should be able to open up our run game a bit. I'm hoping that Fitz can do that - seriously, it has to be hard for us to get worse on O!

Well said Koufax - couldn't put it any better. It's pretty clear when you're throwing for less than 5 yards per attempt and you only have 178 yards in Passing Offense, something needs to change! FWIW, below are highlights of the last game of last season, Fitz at least looks willing to stand in there and throw.
