Absolutely not. Unless you were merely a gun for hire for the biggest contract, this team has little direction right now. Maybe next year, but at this time - I would hardly want to sign on...
-
Do you guys think he'll last through next Friday? Serious question - with all going on - I would not be at all aurprised by a sudden departure. If he has any future aspirations to be a GM, I am not sure I would want my fingerprints on or around this one...

if levy weasels his way into being coach

But shrewd for the old bastard...I'll give him that.... -
Amen brother...

I'm just being honest - not negative. Once again, because i am not singing the Bills fight song like some brainwashed Hitler Youth in 1940 Germany, I am a negative Nancy? Honest question to you - Do the BIlls have a better chance of being competative than Pennington coming back healthy? I don't think so. I know they're not all knowing, but I just got done hearing Merril Hodge tell America Levy would be the coach next year as nobody wants the reins of this team...Do you really think we are better of than the Jets?
-
If Pennington comes back healthy and they have a decent draft - the Jets are a playoff contender...with the Patriots and Dolphins...We're in the "insert name here for 1st overall on 2007 draft" race...
-
You have got to be kidding - the cities they played in are resorts compared to Orchard Park NY...I would trade the Bills in two shakes for the Saints - they'll still find some caoches and players who want to be a part of the rebuilding...In Buffalo - we have returned to the Hank Bullugh days...
-
I have always thought Donohoe was a blite on the franchise and city in general, but I had no idea on how far reaching the impact would have been... To listen to ESPN from 2 - 4 today - this franchise is a ship wreck in need of rebuilding from the top down..... Nice job TD - you took a salary cap mess and turned it into a an NFL train wreck that may need new ownership just to untie the knots that are in place... I salute the likes of Pass-the-pipe, the Red Dragon, SoCall Bill and Swaggert the Whoremonger for riding TD for years now...Too bad gentlement that your cries were not heard sooner...
-
I agree - the thing that is dissappointing, it looks like RB's have little value in free agency or the trade table. When E James can't get a 2nd rounder...what is Willis worth?

Gladly keep the guy for the right money....

This man speaks the trust....your not going to win popularity contests on this board with the statements, but I have to agree - an honest assessment. I too would rather get a bunch of young guys and be a viable team for a long time in a year or two rather than slapping a bank-aid on this thing and selling a few more tickets. Keep the faith... -

Right on....I think you have a good grasp of what they are faced with...though Levy had shown a tendency when he was coach to pursue the CB's early - see Crazy Nate Odems and JD Williams. I would not be too surprised by a trade down then taking a CB in the draft, perhaps Williams at 12-15.... -
I take responsibility where applicable. I'm sure your robust fantasy life pays off in the shower and when your alone Friday night...

Are some of the posts on thie board for real? I see things like Bring Elway back, Payton Manning trade to Buffalo, etc., and ask what in the Hell some of you are smoking? If these are real thoughts or wishes - winning the lottery is a viable retirement plan for you. I have seen some good posts taken down by the administrators of this board because they "offended" or were off topic - the posts I see are offensive to football common sense. I know there are a lot of Bills true Believers out there - but is this **** real? My God - go ahead and attack my perspectives and thoughts, but at least I am grounded in reality and not playing fantasy football with an NFL franchise. No wonder some of you are so let down by this team....
-
I have often kidded about the cummulative inferiority complex of some Buffalonians...you are now the poster child for my argument. get over it - it's a commercial that does nothing to mock the Bills....
-
Sorry - TC is a good DC...I would take him in a minute...

Wow ... no love for JP?

I agree - I think he actually improved as the year went on...That said, the coaches had better let him play next year and not decide the rag armed Holcolm is the best option to win... -
This is whats wrong with Bills fans

He's on the goat list for proclaiming he is the best RB in the NFL...then laying eggs the rest of the season.... I think he is better than his stats, but when you say what he has, proclaimed that getting his 1000 yards was the highlight for him - you stand to get busted in the chops...which he has... -
Amen Dante...Amen. This is nothing but a fresh coat of paint on an old car...Bad move...

If Modrak is the next GM and Marv is

Thank you for pointing out Marv's crudentials...I had forgotten... -

You know - I am not really a fan of the little guy, but he was a charismatic little so and so...I think you are absolutely dead on... -
Really...I think Seymour Knox, and now Tom Gialassanno (sp?) would disagree - toss in Bob Rich too. When Ralph bought the franchise for a song and put it in Buffalo - it was a bustling city, not the charred looking remains of a rust belt city that missed the economic revival other blue collar towns enjoyed. Ralph does the city no favors - as long as you sink money into his investment, he'll reap the returns and keep it put...the minute it's a losing proposition - it's gone....This is business, not a community service...
-
What has Ralph really accomplished? Other than getting rid of Donohoe - he has had a chance and failed - isn't Modrak a part of the comedy that is one bills drive? From draft day decisions to other personnel assessment, isn't he at least partially responsible for the laughing stock Bills? I thought the world of Marv, but was he the one reponsible for the players he was coachng or was it Polian, Butler and AJ Smith? If Marv is being brought in to help groom Mularky - that wouldn't be bad - has is a leader that understood how to motivate his team...but his style does not work for everyone. I am not sure that you can mold a leader - just dust off the debris and maximize their potential. I hope MM has some talent, but his indecisiveness this year in handling personnel matters lead me to think he was more a pawn to TD and not someone to take hold of a failing team to motivate their players. I would argue that Gregg Williams was better suited and accomplished more with less during his tenure. Anyway - putting Modrak in charge is akin to being named the captian of the titanic - Ralph probably won't own the team too much longer, then the new owner can do what he wants. The upcoming moves are more of interest to sell tickets and churn some excitement in this farina bland organization. The only thing not done is the naming of Doug Floutie as the new QB coach to groom JP...that'll sell a few thousand seats and jersays...but stay tuned.
-
Please - Ralph is one of the reasons this team is in the disrepair it is. I think what will be revealed tomorrow will be another move on the cheap - keep MM, keep MOdrak, (two guys under contract), and bring Levy in to "consult"...that ought to sell 5,000 season tickets on it's own. This team is in need of drastic change and not the tweaking and good faith moves we are seeing. Unless they replace Clemens with an OQ with a Mike Martartz or Steve Merriucci ans Grey with a Dom Capers - don't buy into the program...It's nothing more than a new set of tires, some touch up paint and a coat of wax...We do not have the players or cashing to succeed for the next two seasons....
