I thought I read that Kyle Williams had the same injury on his other foot that he had surgery on last year. Just saw him playing in the Pro Bowl and am trying to figure out what is going on??

I actually wonder about that...can route running be taught? If it can, then it would not be such a unique and important attribute for a receiver. I think route running is a completely separate athletic attribute, just like speed. Some guys have it, some don't. I am sure receivers can improve their route running, but to say it can be taught can't be entirely true or all WRs would be great route runners...which they are not.

12 out of 32 teams make the playoffs each year. This will be the 12th season in a row the Bills don't make the playoffs. Wow.

The connection is that both Dumervil and Harrison are both shorter than Moats and play on the outside. My point was that Moats should not be moved inside based on his height because he proved that he can produce on the outside last year. I also think he is better than Coleman and Batten so would get more playing time if he stayed on the outside.

I actually thought Moats looked pretty good on the outside last year, not just on the Farve hit. I added Elvis Dumervil to the list also. My point is just that if they moved him inside purely based on "prototypical" size, that is stupid. I thought he could produce on the outside based on what we saw last year. And I am not sold on Coleman, Batten, etc by any means.

That's what I was hoping too, but he does not seem to be showing all that much in preseason on the inside. Especially compared to what we saw him do last year on the outside.

James Harrison (6') plays Outside LB and in 2008 was named AP Defensive Player of the Year with 16 sacks, 100 tackles, and 7 forced fumbles. Elvis Dumervil (5'11") had 17 sacks in 2009. Gailey on moving Moats (6'2") to Inside LB: "There were a couple of reasons," Gailey explained. "One, I thought we had some good outside prospects. Two, I thought that we wanted another good, young prospect inside. And three, at six foot, he would never be the prototypical guy outside, so he has a better chance to be an impact player probably on the inside than he does on the outside." It would really suck if Moats was limited to having a Harrison or Dumervil type impact if he was still playing Outside LB. Who cares about "prototypical" size if the guy can produce which Moats showed last year.

That is exactly what this means. We now know exactly how the rest of the league values Evans.

Has anyone used NFL Game Rewind on NFL.com? It sounds like you can watch all the games online, just not live, for much cheaper that DirecTV. If there is a season, I am planning to try this out but was curious if there was any feedback. With the kids, I was watching all my Sunday Ticket games on Tivo anyway. We just cancelled DirecTV and installed a HD antennae in the attic and now get 20+ channels for free over the air. With Netflix and the antennae, we are now spending $10 per month compared to $150+/month previously.

Has anyone tried the service on NFL.com where you can watch the games after they are over. Not sure how much it costs or how it works. Just curious if anyone has tried it?

Watch Donald Jones block on run plays also. He brings an entire new element to the offense that you don't get with Roscoe. Don't underestimate how much it helps when Jones can seal the edge or chip somebody. Probably one of the reasons he is getting more time than David Nelson since Roscoe went down as well.

I agree with your overall thoughts...but I would also give Fitz a lot of credit for their improved play. He gets rid of the ball very quickly. Just like the O-line improved when Flutie came in for RJ, similar improvement has occured when Fitz replaced Edwards.

In a sick, twisted way that is the Buffalo Bills 2010 season, this is actually kind of funny. I mean 10 minutes into his first practice in a non-contact drill...c'mon man. I started laughing (instead of crying) after the Baltimore game. Life is so much easier when the constant calamaties don't get you down anymore.

The Bills defense, now in a 4-3 scheme rather than the 3-4 they started the season in, will get better in the next few weeks. I feel like the Bills have four or five wins in their future.

That is a total of $11.5M extra to Ralph's bottom line for this year. Pretty big money in my book. Very end of the first half...about 1:30 left..Bills down 13-7. The Bills have tons of momentum and it's 3rd and 6 and Edwards drops back to pass. He had a nice pocket and no pressure at all. Both Bell and Green are doing a great job blocking the edges and there is very little push up the middle. Edwards delivers a 4 yard pass to Stevie Johnson who has a Packer right on his back and is immediately taken down two yards short of the first down. ROSCOE PARRISH WAS WIDE OPEN NOT FIVE YARDS AWAY FROM JOHNSON. Parrish had a clean break off the line and was streaking through the secondary. It would have been a short, easy throw for Edwards and a massive gain for Parrish. Edwards is so scared, he just looked happy to throw the ball away and get a completion. He had no interest in trying stand in the pocket and "make the play" that would have kept the drive alive. He just wanted to get rid of the ball. When you focus in on this one play, it is completely implicating of all that is wrong with Edwards. IF he makes that throw to Parrish, the Bills are down 13-10 or up 14-13 at half time. Maybe they are not as far away as we think. Momentum means everything to a football game.
