lol. Most people think you can't judge a draft until you see these guys in the league for 2-3 years. Clayton is trying to judge a draft before the draft is even over. If the Bills walk away tomorrow with Michael Munoz, Jason Brown, and someone's 2nd round pick next year for Travis Henry...he'll feel a little foolish.

I read on BillsDaily that the Eagles and Henry had been trying to workout a longterm deal. I don't know how credible it is...or if that's where the original poster even got his info from.

Sporting News Draft guide had J.P Losman listed as a first round prospect. Don't forget though..J.P made his money when he had the dual workout with Eli Manning.....and looked better than Manning. Kiper had him ranked 26th overall in the draft.

I agree that Garcia would be a smart choice. First of all...people who say they want Drew to stick around as a backup.....get that thought out of your head. Drew Bledsoe's " No, It's my team" rant after week 17 tells me that it WOULD be a distraction this time around if he was forced to sit and watch Losman play. If you move on from the Drew Bledsoe era..you need to move completely on. Secondly, all of this talk about Jeff Garcia would make you think that the guy can't throw the ball more than 35 yards. Jeff Garcia has the ability to get the ball downfield. Will he hit guys 65 yards away from him in stride? Probably not. But it's not like opposing safeties would be able to play 20 yards off knowing that everything behind him is out of their range. The benefit of bringing in a guy like Jeff Garcia is...his style is similar to the style of Losman. Losman has a considerably stronger arm....but they both throw very well on the run...they both move the pocket.....and they both are better suited for a west coast offense ( even though Losman has a strong arm). If you bring in Jeff Garcia...then EVEN if J.P Losman isn't ready to be the starter this year...you can start to build the offense around Losman's skill set. I don't think it makes sense to go into this season with 2 QB's who are polar opposites battling it out for the #1 Qb job. " Ok, Drew's in for this series guys....remember..he can't run........so hold your blocks and keep the pocket steady" " Ok, Losman is in for this series guys.....remember..he might take off at any moment...so if the defender starts to run away from you..it's probably an indicator that Losman has taken off" " Alright, Drew's back in........We're going to run plays that take a little longer to develop..where we can get receivers downfield." " Ok, Losman is back in..let's try rolling the pocket a little and see how this team does with misdirection and playaction" I just think that the offense NEEDS an identity all throughout training camp. They don't need an offensive line continiously adjusting to 2 totally different QB's styles while the higher ups decide on a starting QB.

I think between the 2 the Raiders would rather work on the fumbling issue than work on the durability issue with Jordan. Norv Turner will run his starting RB until he's dragging on the ground ( see Ricky Williams week 3 2003 vs the Bills where he got 40+ carries). I also am not 100% certain that the Jets are going to trade Jordan. Everything I have heard says that Herman Edwards absolutely loves Jordan....and wants to groom him to be the featured back sooner rather than later.

Im going to subscribe to one of these sites here in the next few weeks for draft coverage. I want a site that has Combine results, in depth player's analysis....and even updates as players stocks rise and fall . I always buy the Sporting News Draft guide...so if their players reports are just copied directly from that it wouldn't make sense for me to get that. If anyone has experience with either one or both of these sites..let me know what you think is the best one.

Lawrence Smith is a weird player. If you focus on him...he doesn't give an inch in pass protection. The guy absolutely stops defenders at the point of attack and holds his ground. However, when it comes to run blocking...Smith gets absolutely zero penetration....and the run lanes close before they open. If you notice...the Bills would put Smith in for Tucker at the end of halves and games when the Bills needed a 2 minute drill...because in pass happy situations he is very solid. If he could ever learn how to run block...he could turn out to be a very solid player.

I wrote them a couple of weeks ago asking if they had any plans to add a webcast of their station to their website..but they never responded. It would be nice to be able to hear Buffalo Sports talk again now that Empire has bit the dust.

Thats what I was thinking . I thought all offseason long the Dolphins would go for the low profile coach...and then throw multi-millions of dollars at Scott Pioli to be the GM. As far as Henry goes..I think the longer the Bills wait..the better off they will be. Right now teams look at the FA market and see names like Rudi Johnson, Shaun Alexander , and Edgerrin James..........and they look at the draft and see names like Carnell Williams, Reggie Brown, and Cedric Benson ( among others) ....and don't feel desperate for a RB. However...if you wait until draft day....and the RB's start flying off the board...you will find a team who was waiting to get their RB in the second round.......only to realize that all of the big time backs went early...and they will be more than happy to spend a second round pick on a proven NFL back in his mid-20's...as opposed to taking a chance on someone like Anthony Davis. You also look at the Lamar Gordon situation...if you keep Henry in your back pocket until training camp...somebody somewhere is bound to have a serious RB situation...it happens every year. Whether it's injury....legal.....or retirement....someone always gets desperate for a RB. Thats when Miami had to give up a 3 for Gordon...and thats when the Billscould cash in on Henry.

I wonder what getting it done means?I know everyone wants to win the Super Bowl...but the Jets have been in the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 seasons...and were a Doug Brien choke job away from upsetting the best team in the NFL and making it to the AFC Championship game. I'm not a jets fan...but I don't think you can replace a head coach who consistently gets your team into the playoffs. Are Tony Dungy and Andy Reid on the hot seat as well?

Im the last person that should be giving advice on women....but...with that being said I will throw my 2 cents in. I would agree with everyone else that you probably won't make her decide she wants to be with you. The best thing you can do right now is give her space. You didn't come right out and say this...but it sounds like you kind of kiss this girls ass ( sorry..I couldn't really think of a better way to say it...and we have all done it at one point or another) It sounds like you are constantly reminding her how you feel about her and telling her how great she is..etc. As sick as it sounds...for a lot of girls..they need to fear loss before they want something. Didn't you ever see that Family Matters episode where Urkel started paying attention to another girl....and it drove Laura nuts? She didn't think she wanted to be with him..until he started paying attention to someone else....and then she got jealous.

I saw something through a google search about Adelphia rejecting an offer to sell Empire Sports. Does anyone know if they ever plan on fixing the Empire Sports network and at least turning it back into a respectable station as far as Western New York Sports goes....or is it just going to live on life support with nothing by infomercials, Ballroom boxing, and TNA Wrestling mixed in with 3 very uninformative Empire Sports reports? Anyone know if there is any plans on making this station respectable again?

What about Jeff Garcia? The Bills are going to try to mold this offense to fit the skill set of J.P Losman. Garcia has similar skill to Losman ( Mobility...throws better on the run..etc..not as strong as of an arm Losman but still..)....it would seem that if they spend all offseason trying to build this offense around Losman...and then he ISN'T ready...having Garcia in there would be a smooth transition. Say what you want to about Garcia..the guy is tough as nails......and could be available for the Bills if the rumors are true about his fall out with the browns.

WHAT? Are you serious? Drew Bledsoe has been here for 3 years now and they haven't made the playoffs with him at the helm. In 2002, they gave him all sorts of offensive weapons...and he still crumbled in the end. In 2003 they tried giving him a rock solid defense...and this offense BROKE records for inept play. This year they gave him solid offensive weapons....one of the best O-Line coaches in the NFL who improved the line greatly....and QB COACH to hold his hand when things went wrong.....a very good running game...a great defense and great special teams and still no playoffs. 3 STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT! How ANYONE can honestly say that this team will make the playoffs with Drew Bledsoe at Qb because they are " Too good not to" ..they day AFTER they lost to a 3rd string NFL Europe quality Steelers JV team at HOME with EVERYTHING on the line...in a game where Bledsoe absolutely stunk the joint out....just BAFFLES me.

I don't think you can outright cut him simply because you hae no true number 1 on this roster. People are all over Sam Aiken.....but in reality all he has done is looked good in training camp..block well..and catch a pass against the rams on a flea flicker when he was wide open. Let's see if Aiken can be a #3 before we just throw him in as the #1. Moulds isn't consistent game in and game out..but at the end of the year his numbers are there. One thing that annoys me is..people say he isn't getting a lot of stats because he is double and triple teamed. Don't you think Terrell Owens and Javon Walker were double and triple teamed this year? Terrell Owens has chumps like Todd Pinkston and Freddie Mitchell working opposite him. If Moulds is a true big time receiver...then he needs to be more consistent game in and game out regardless of how the defense plays. Im guessing T.O doesn't just spend every Sunday beating man coverage.

Must be nice living in a fantasy land with no salary cap.
