  1. Ok Ok..... Josh Reeds td receptiption to avoid the shutuout was really nice.... there feel better?
  2. Granted I dont remember much about that game and dont have it on tape to watch it but from what I can vageuly remember other then that one throw to evans losman was downright horrible. I also remember tom brady had more rushing yards then our entire team and richard seymour absolutly owned us that game as a de, as an under and when he was playing nose. Seymour was a beast. That was one of the worst games for our oline imo, and truly exposed a huge weakness in the interior of our oline as the pats dline had them for breakfast. Also forgot to add. For what it's worth I remember hearing stuff about how the bills practice indoors last season and then remember reading a post game quote from tom brady along the lines of "We love snow we practice outside in the cold and wet conditions in ne so we were prepared for the weather" and I just remember coming away thinking that the bills seemed compleltly out of their element for a cold weather team. They got owned in all phazes of the game.
  3. I like your draft it adresses a lot of needs. Besides highly doubting Elvis Dumervile lasts till the 7th rd I think he'll go in the late 3rd-early 4th, this is the pick I wanted to discuss. The problem with hester is he has no real position. Is he a corner, a wr, a 3rd down back or strictly a return man. The reward is higher then the risk here but I'd chose to go in another direction possibly safety someone like Greg Blue or Pat Watkins.
  4. I've heard Cleveland is higher as Bunkley. I remember Crenell comparing him as Richard Seymour type player. They're reportedly very high on bunkley, kamerion wimbley and manny lawson. Ngata does make sense for them long term to replace Washington, but I think they go wih the more versatile bunkley if he's there. Hopefully he's not.
  5. Bunkley, Huff, Vernon Davis, and warming up to the idea of winston justice. Although I've been praying for a way to get mario williams but thats a mere pipe dream.
  6. most definitly the responses
  7. Way to generalize everyone who listens to rap. I dont know what genre of music you listen to and honestly I could care less, but I highly doubt it's just people who listen to rap who blare their music. It's more of an age group thing then a genre of music.
  8. it's crazy
  9. I dont get it why add another need to the roster. We're well under the cap. I just hope marv looks to fill in the holes we have instead of digging a new one.
  10. I dont watch american idol but I was a little unnerved by the similarity in looks between ace young and losman
  11. Dude looks ron dayne esque. I know he was never really in the best shape but he just seems lazy now.
  12. This isn't an overwhelming statistical analysis breakdown but simply put I think a lot of people around here like ngata because he would be a smooth transition from the old guard of guys like ted washington, pat williams, sam adams, those big guys who keep bodies off lb's and are turned off by bunkley because he's not a wide body, and people are generally scared of change. They see a smaller dt and assume oh he must suck against the run. Thats just the sense I get. I'd rather go with the flow of todays nfl with quicker interior linemen. and Bunkley is strong enough and quick enough to play every dline position depending on the package where as ngata is strictly a nt. Give me the more versatile player who can hustle.
  13. He's big and fat so he must be great
  14. I'd be dissapointed with Ngata, happy with bunkley, justice, huff or a trade down. Just cause your a lard ass doesn't mean you're gonna be a good dt. Bunkley is faster, strong as an ox, and can also get interior pressure where as Ngata may be able to clog a hole but he wont make plays upfield. Where as Bunkley has the strength to hold point or make plays in the backfield. I'd be dissapointed with Vernon Davis as we could get someone like USC'S Dominique Byrd in or a Joe Klopfenstein in the 3rd or Leonard Pope in the 2nd maybe, no reason to blow a wad on a te at 8. I wouldn't be dissapointed with a qb as long as it's not Jay Cutler aka the next Kyle Boller. I'd prefer not to draft a qb unless by some miracle Matt Leinart falls to us. I'd be dissapointed with trading up. We have far too many needs to throw away picks, unless of of course it's for Mario Williams then I'll be happier then a pig in mud. I'll be happy with any of the following. Bunkley, Huff or a trade down.
  15. What he said. I'd much rather have bunkley then ngata. I'd be willing to put money on it that bunkley makes more of an impact in the nfl.
  16. hell yeah it is. Between Evans/Davis/Parrish/Price thats a hell of a lot of speed and if price can regain his form of 2002 we have ourselves a hell of a wr core. This offense went from seriousily lacking speed to having an abundance of it. Hopefully these guys can step up and everett can emerge at te, or a draft pick.
  17. I'm on the Broderick Bunkley bandwagon so I have no problem passing up ngata. Mostly cause I want to move away from the overweight dt's of yore. I feel smaller quicker dt's are more essential to success in the nfl today with skill players generally faster as well as olinemen becoming quicker. I wasn't all that high on Rodrique Wright as the college season progressed, but his potential might be worth the risk if he's there in the 3rd round, although like you said better served as a 3-4 end. I'd love McCargo if we dont get bunkley in the 1st. McCargo is a similar player, not so much worried about the Ryan Sims effect. Mahelona seems like a player similar to larry triplett. One Gap penetrator. Dont know much about Babatunde.
  18. Yeah Ty Law was injured with a broken foot Randal Gay and Asante Samuel were the starters and they used troy brown as a nickel back, but they were still far from under talented. When you have that kind of dline you can get away with it but it's far from the norm.
  19. 36 New England Eugene Wilson FS Illinois- 2nd rd 2003 120 New England Asante Samuel CB Central Florida -4th rd 2003 Not to mention they had rodney harrison at ss. and the whole thing about their very good lb's oh and just for the record DT/DE Richard Seymour- 1st rd pick De/dt- Ty Warren- 1st rd pick DT- Vince Wilfork- 1st rd pick When you have a dline full of 1st rd picks and solid lb's you can pretty much get away with an average secondary. Comparing clements situation to ne is completly invalid due to the state of our dline lb depth and well near the caliber of a qb in brady. Our whole defense was bad last year, not just clements, but just for the record 13 teams finished with worse pass defenses then us this past season, just some of the noteable corners who were on these lesser ranking pass defenses 1. Champ Bailey- denvers 29th ranked pass defense 2. Patrick Surtain- Kc's 30th ranked pass defense 3. Lito Sheppard/Sheldon Brown- Philly 21st ranked pass defense 4. Antoine Winfield/Fred Smoot- Vikings 22nd ranked pass defense If like you say our dline determines the success of our defense which btw I'm a big proponent of as of now we fall woefuly short. Good Corners are prone to bad years. Why keep clements though well for starters he's 25/26 years old and averages 4 picks a year and is far and away the best corner on this team. It will take a long time to accquire the amount of dline talent needed to protect terrence mcgee and a bunch of scrubs, where as we have solid corners in place and decent depth with king/thomas/thomas/greer but when that depth becomes a starter in place of nate clements well you're in trouble. Why add to our need list when we have the money to build around a good core?
  20. shakira amazingly hot
  21. I'm interested but yeah need more info about what you're planning to do.
  22. Bunkley wont make it past cleveland. Justice at 15 yeah, If we traded down I'd love Justice and Nick Mangold, or Justice and Antonio Cromartie or Justice and Jason Allen, but yeah Bunkley probably wont be available at 15.
  23. 1. Bunkley isn't just ideal for a cover 2 he's ideal for any version of a 4-3, or a 3-4 de. He's also strong enough to play nt. Just cause he's not a fat blob at 340+ doesn't mean he isn't ideal for any kind of defensive scheme, or that he can't stop the run. Now granted I haven't seen Ngata play all that much and this might be why I prefer Bunkley, but I really beieve bunkley is going to be an extremely special dlinemen. How's ngata at getting interior pressure as this has been one of the biggest problems of our defense the past few seasons?!?! 2. Davin Joseph- Love it. Him or Charles Spencer would be my ideal picks here. 3a Whitworth is a rt in the nfl. Spotty footwork, and doesn't really move that well. Great run blocker though. I just dont see him panning out at lt. If we were to move Jason Peters to lt I'd be fine with this pick otherwise I'll pass. 3b. Why would we cut Lawyer Milloy to draft a safety that has the same type of game? Not that I dont like Smith cause I do, I just dont see us going in this direction, and preferably I'd prefer someone who's faster, like Roman Harper, or Greg Blue 4. In the 4th I could think of worse but Jason Avant is one sloooooow man. Still he is what he is strictly a posession receiver which might not be bad depending on how he develops. 5. I love the Brandon Marshall pick I just dont know if I'd go wr/wr back to back. I would've thrown another dt and guard somewhere in here but overall not a bad draft.
  24. Played well in the last 8 games for us... sure Played well enough to prove he'd start at lt for other teams around the league hardly. Gandy is an above average backup and maybe a starter at rg on some teams, but he shouldn't be a lt. This has been our problem the past few years putting players where they really shouldn't be playing. To the original post. Our trenches are horrible.... Defense- de- we have one solid de in schobel, and 2 ok backups in kelsay and denney. It would be very nice to bring in a pass rusher opposite schobel. Dt- I like Larry Triplett hopefully he's just a start moving away from the fat slobs of years past to quicker interior dt's. We lack anything behind him. Tim Anderson might have some potential at a rotation guy but god help us if he's ever a starter. I see the need for at least 2 dt's. Offense- LT- Already explained my feelings on gandy. Drafting a LT and using gandy as a swing man or in comp against villarrial would be a good start to improving the oline. LG- I loved Aaron Gibson when he came out a few years ago and I consider him an intriguing question mark, depending on his size. I like the way preston played last year filling in for villarrial and even playing better then him last year, If not Gibson or a draftee I'd like to see Preston win out here. C- Melvin Fowler. For all intents and purposes seems similar to trey teague physically but more of a natural center as opposed to being forced into the position. I consider this spot already upgraded, but if Mangold is their in the 2nd pull the damn trigger otherwise I feel we're ok here. Rg- Chris Villarrial- I don't feel we're ok here. I'd really like to get Younger here. Villarrial seemed to be showing the wear and tear of a olinemen his age last year and I have reservations about if he can step up his play. Draftee to sit behind him for a year and replace him towards the middle of the season or 07 would be the best way to go. Rt- Jason Peters. I felt this was the wrong move last year, as he would've been better served as a blocking te, but he started to prove me wrong especially towards the end of the season. Hopefully he continues to improve. All in all I think the dline is much worse off then the oline and needs more overall additions.
