  1. Not to be a stickler here, but 1/3 is not really the same as nearly half, and that isn't even factoring in the 7th we got from the Vikings. (or the 4th we gave them next season either, to be fair) This is the kind of move a team makes when they are close to competing for a title and need to add a few quality players rather than load the roster with quantity, hoping they find a few diamonds in the rough.
  2. Middle of the pack. Last I saw on Spotrac they were 16th in league with just under $30 million in space. We are/were definitely in a better position than them to spend some money. My guess is, they are focussed on Clowney.
  3. That's odd, I thought he came out of retirement ONLY because of the Cowboys. Guess the paycheck is hard to let go.
  4. Cause the Texans GM is really a coach and he must think very highly of David Johnson. Can't compare the trades when a player is involved.
  5. B+ based on potential, but will be an easy A if he and Josh develop chemistry together. Diggs has great hands and Josh needs a receiver like that right now.
  6. You're on your own with this one. Great trade. Win now baby!
  7. Cost not withstanding, the biggest take away is how exciting it will be to have a receiver that catches everything he touches. This off-season has a "win now" feel to it so far and I absolutely love that!
  8. It will be big news, once he signs with another team or retires. Until then, he is still a Patriot* as far as I'm concerned.
  9. Does this mean he lays on his back with his legs in the air?
  10. It is crazy that with all of the free agent moves made yesterday, the only thing they are talking about on NFLN is Tom Brady's announcement. He hasn't even left yet!
  11. There is no way of knowing how big of a factor David Johnson was in their decision. If they think he is their "Derrick Henry", they may have valued him as worth more than the #22 pick in this draft. Houston's GM/coach is a wild card and assuming you know what deal he would prefer is foolish.
  12. He looks slow on game tape? That does not seem right to me. He looks plenty fast from what I have seen.
  13. Yeah, same in my county in Georgia, although they just said “until further notice”. I imagine the whole state will follow suit.
  14. Higgins, Cervenka, Simmons, etc... Plenty of great option there.
  15. I kinda think their present is in danger too.
  16. Damn! there are so many good receivers in the draft this year, it is crazy. That being said, I just hope the one we pick pans out.
  17. I have not been a big fan of Josh Norman, especially recently, but I trust McDermott when it comes to DB's. If he says he's a fit, I'll take his word for it.
  18. If that one trick is catching the ball, I’m good.
  19. First of all, it is a ridiculous take, pretending to have any idea what kind of shape he is in right now. Secondly, I would rather he work on his footwork, touch, timing etc right now, rather than doing curls so that he looks good in T shirts for fans who want to see his muscles. This is the off-season, and I am just happy to see he is working on his craft putting in the time to keep becoming a better QB. He has several months before he has to worry about getting back into game time shape.
  20. Oh, I agree, very different styles. I just meant people said he did not get keyed on by the defense because of the talent around him. For some reason, I see him on the Saints, (probably the Louisiana thing, but his skills would fit too) or the Patriots. (that would suck, especially if Brady stayed). That being said, I would not be upset if we drafted him at 22.
  21. Everyone said the same thing about DK Metcalf last year, and he had a pretty good rookie season.
