  1. I didnt mind him so much. Boomer TJ and Irvin made NFL primetime fun to watch. It will be interesting to see who steps up. They need somoene to provide some energy into the show, which dispite all his faults, was irvins best attribute to the show. I put the over/under on Irvin getting arrested for cocaine possession and taking a dive off the deep end in about 14 months....
  2. I still dont understand the Micheal Steele thing. I am from VA, but what I saw of him I really liked. Oh well...
  3. Here is my take on this cash to cap policy. Someone correct me where I am wrong It seems like the cap is 109M, therefore the bills will spend 109M this season on players. According to Billszone (http://www.billszone.com/mtlog/archives/2007/01/29/billszones_2007_buffalo_bills_salary_cap_page.php) current salaries for 2007 are 46.8M, Other Bonuses are 6.9M, meaning we are only on target to spend 53.7M next season, which seems like its a good 55M BELOW the 109M cash to cap limit. What (if anything) am i missing here???
  4. Your act is about as old and skunky as an actual bottle of 2002 molson golden.
  5. The mexican border joke is so unoriginal. It should be credited to anonymous because of how many people can come up with that on their own. Its not original. It wouldnt suprise me ONE BIT if BOTH guys thought of this on their own.
  6. I think Newt has a very good chance. He will offer a very conservative agenda, is well spoken and likeable. Honestly he is my favorite option. HOWEVER, he is a horrible candidate. There is a difference between someone who would make a good president, and someone who is electable. He is not electible. Dems made the mistake with Kerry and Gore. Repubs made the mistake with Dole. Gingrich is not electible. Only Repubs who I think are electible at this point are Guliani, McCain and possibly Romney (dont know enough about him, but seems like he has "it"). I'd love to see newt as president...but perhaps he is better suited being a VP for a more moderate candidate like McCain or Guiliani.
  7. I think Fletcher gets tagged by a tranny. could be a franchise, but i am guessing a transitional tag.
  8. Correct. A flaming racist is perfectly acceptable. Changing your mind on a minor issue 3 years ago is a MUCH MUCH bigger deal. You found me out.
  9. THIS particular brand? The part where a candidate actually says things that are used against them? The brand that really needs to stop is the stuff that is unfounded and cannot be proved. The "he put a deer head in a black familys mailbox". THOSE are what needs to be stopped. I give you this, this is a minor issue. Could he have changed his mind? Of course. But I think its much more likely he said this in 2000, while running for senate, because Illinois wanted a senator who would represent them and not have further political ambitions. In and of itself, it is a minor issue. But it goes a long way toward building the case that everything he says is said for political gain, and not becasue he believes it. Not saying the republicans are ANY better... But to say THIS brand of gotcha politics needs to stop? Please. Its his own words. If we cant hold a politician accountable for what he/she says...where are we?
  10. I disagree. I think Rudi wins the nomination. Right now, McCain has to be the favorite. I think once America hears Rudy talk, it will bring back the memories of his leadership after 911 and a good fresh start for america.

  12. LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Stop even thinking about the salary cap. EVERY team is under the cap for next season. Its almost a non-issue at this point.
  14. Why dont you go buy the team...
  15. eh....perhaps. I guess with no clear cut winner they gave it to the sentimental favorite, who just so happens to be the team leader
  16. Well, I opted just to throw them in the oven, since I was fighting for oven space from the homemade deep dish pizza (which was phenomenal btw)... So i put them along side the pizza and let'er roll. The hot wings were pretty good, but the BBQ ones needed some work, but nobody seemed to mind. Thanks for all your help
  17. Yet somehow...its still Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park and Wrigley Field.
  18. That was Billy Joel?
  19. Preferably not...but I dont care. I just think it would be a nice tribute to the newly elected class. Have them all there on the field and have one of them toss it.
  20. Possibly Vinatieri.... Urlacher will probably go, but hasnt punched his ticket yet IMO. Needs a couple more good years. I dont see Wayne making it. Or Saturday. Thats about it IMO. Manning, Harrison and Probably Urlacher. Vinatieri is the only other player who I can see having a chance, but a kicker in the HOF is tough. Sure, there are young guys who we dont how their careers will turn out. Bob Sanders, Cedrick Benson, Addai, Dallas Clark, Desmond Clark, Grossman. All COULD be HOFers given some good years after today...but by no stretch are they in the hall today. EDIT: Duh, Freeney has a good shot, but I put him in the same category as Urlacher. A few more good years
  21. Perhaps the correct thing here is to have one of the newest elected members of the HOF toss the coin...
  22. While I do like thurman up there. Couple comments.... 1) If it is going to be long term, I think we should honor the entire superbowl teams, or at least the key guys. Thurman is great, but Kelly, Bruce, Andre, Tasker, et al., should be up there as well. Perhaps a montage/collage of the top 5 guys or so from those teams. 2) While I love these old guys, for some reason I am feeling like im living in the past when I see Thurman up there... 3) Can you work on a rotating script, where sometimes when you come to TBD you see the old clan, and sometimes you see the new regime? Might be a good way to mix it up. But CONGRATS THURMAN!
  23. Perhaps true. He was good. But there is no denying the last year or two he was here, he looked average at best. Too much money for the production we were getting out of him. Now, perhaps that was gilbride, perhaps it was any number of things, but he needed a change of scenery.
  24. Levy To Present Thomas? Thurman Thomas may be following in the footsteps of fellow Hall of Fame teammate Jim Kelly. Thomas said in an interview on the NFL Network that he plans on having Marv Levy be his presenter for induction at the Hall of Fame ceremonies on August 4th. Levy is no stranger to the podium in Canton, he is a Hall of Famer himself and also presented Kelly for induction. Thomas said he told Levy years ago that he wants him to present him if he ever got in the Hall of Fame.
