  1. Anyone know what Nick Fairley got? Anyone ever heard him in an interview? He makes McGahee sound like a genius.
  2. Drew Badthrow Donte Twitner James Hardly Steve 'Tisker' a Tasker Freddy '10 yards'(for holding) Smerlas Lights Out - Hoping to be able to actually hear this name mentioned during a Bills game next year, and not because he is on IR.
  3. Here is another reason a franchise QB is so important in winning a championship. Of the teams to have won most of the past 10 SBs, no of them have had a real stud at the RB position, thus making the QB play much more important when opposing defenses know you have to rely primarily on the passing game. Here is a list of the RBs from the Patriots, Steelers, Colts and Saints SB winning teams. Parenthesis are number of winning SBs they played in. NE - JR Redmond(1), Antowain Smith(2), Kevin Faulk(3), Mike Cloud(1), Larry Centers(1), Corey Dillon(1), Cedric Cobbs(1) Pittsburgh - Jerome Bettis(1), Willie Parker(2), Mewelde Moore(1), Gary Russell(1) Indianapolis - Dominic Rhodes, Joseph Addai New Orleans - Pierre Thomas - only had 9 carries, Reggie Bush - only had 5 carries, Mike Bell - had 2 carries. Now to this year we have for the two teams... Pittsburgh - Rashaard Mendenhall, Mewelde Moore. Green Bay - Brandon Jackson, James Starks. I will say that Pittsburgh has always had a tough defense, but without stud RBs, the QB needs to manage the game. Ben sucked in 06, but he played great in 09.
  4. Riddle me this (I stole this line from you McD, is that okay?) Would you rather watch an NFL game where 60 pts were scored and your team won, or a 6-3 type of game, a-la the Bills and Browns last year, where your team lost? Screw the defense, people watching the sport want entertainment value, which in the NFL comes in the way of points scored. People pay to see offense, and the right offense can win championships just ask the fans in NE, Indy, NO, St. Louis. The Bills can draft more defense than offense again this year, but without an improvement on the offensive side of the ball, say OL, TE, QB, we aren't going to win many more games.
  5. All I can say is that Micheal Vick will NEVER be known as an American Hero. He will always be known in this country as a decent NFL QB who killed dogs. End of story. If companies want to pay him for endorsements, let them. Still doesn't change what he did.
  6. This sums this entire useless thread up perfectly. A defense can hold a team to 3 points any given day but if you don't have an offense that can score, then what? Let's look at this: Top five scoring offenses this year. 1. New England - Brady 2. San Diego - Rivers 3. Philadelphia - Vick 4. Indianapolis - Manning 5. Atlanta - Ryan Basically all franchise QBs, except maybe Vick, although I would take him. Bottom five in scoring 32. Carolina - Moore, Clausen = suck, rookie who sucked 31. Cleveland - Delhomme, McCoy = suck, rookie who may have some upside 30. Miami - Henne, Pennington = suck, suck 29. Minnesota - Favre, Jackson = Washed up, pretty much sucks 28. Buffalo - Fitzpatrick, Edwards = mediocre, suck Only one franchise QB in that list (Favre) and he was well past his prime. It's a common theme in the offensive statistics that teams with good QBs are at the top of the league and the teams with garbage are at the bottom. Kinda like defensive stats. YOU NEED BOTH!!!
  7. I agree and have to say, that was one of the best passes thrown by a Bills QB all season.
  8. With some time with the right teacher he could be a decent back-up I think. He definitely has the strongest arm on the team and the best size of the three there now. Also has decent mobility. If he can figure out how to read NFL defenses, he will be a good QB. He is worth keeping as a third stringer going into camp.
  9. Wow lol. Brunell was asking him "did you just wipe a...." What a douche Sanchez is. Eating hot dogs on the sidelines, now wiping boogers on the old guy.
  10. All this proves is that QB is the most sought after and important position in the NFL, thus so many picks spent on QBs that teams are hoping can become a franchise type player.
  11. I got a "Bo Don't Know Snow, Thurman Do" t-shirt thanks to the Rai-dehs.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't mental skills part of being a talented QB in the NFL? I know Leaf had the physical tools, but mental skills are a bigger part of being a successful QB IMO. That's the part I was referring too. Plenty of guys with the physical skills have failed miserably in the NFL. Just look at the Bills last few choices. This OP was referring to attitude, not physical ability.
  13. Cutler is Ryan Leaf with some actual QB talent.
  14. Hmm, I think the Bills have already beat the Pats WITH Belichick and Brady. Only once, but it has happened and can happen and will happen. I think we will split with them next year. We should have beat them this past year until Fitzpatrick gift wrapped the game for them....just like McKelvin did last year. They are not invincible.
  15. Hey Jimmy, can you do me a solid? I knows somebody that needs a little "talkin to" if you know what I mean. I assume you know how to make someone...I mean something disappear on one of the garbage routes you own, I mean manage....MINGA!!!!
  16. Vincent Jackson?? I didn't pay any attention whether he signed a new LT deal with SD or not. I know he wanted out of there in a bad way.
  17. There wasn't much defense played in any game this past weekend. The avg points scored between all four games was 58. The lowest team points in a game were 21, ironically by both number 1 seeds Atlanta and NE. Offenses won this past weekend.
  18. One of the most classless and dirtiest players in the league questioned Belichicks decision to bench Welker for the Pats first offensive series of the game, saying...."I wouldn't have done it". Did it really make a difference in the outcome? Not at all. We all know BB doesn't like to be questioned. Deion Branch hammered some of the Jets players for celebrating their victory at the end of the game, saying he only shakes hands with classy players, not classless players. Also saying you can tell which players have never been in that position before because they didn't know how to act. I find this extremely ironic seeing how Branch was the only player on the Pats team yesterday that continuously got up after a reception and went towards the Jets sidelines jawing at them. He was doing this while his team still needed two scores and needed nothing short of a miracle to have a chance to win. Deion Branch is a douchebag and is probably just pissed because the team he started the season with actually won a playoff game this year. Funny how you never heard a peep out of this a-hole the whole time he played in Seattle. Grow up Deion.
  19. Um....the Bills have never been 14-2 and had a QB that had 29 more TDs than INTs. Big difference.
  20. I thought the Pats had loyal fans? Today was just more proof how un-loyal Pats fans really are. The Pats still had a chance, albeit a small one up until about 24 seconds left. But after the second failed onsides kick, the stadium was all but empty. Just like the players on NE, the fans can't stand to lose and run away when they aren't winning. Kinda like the a-hole trolls I remember that used to frequent TBD, like Hollywood Donahoe, Dozer or IceColdBruschi (or whatever the hell his name was). Where did these gutless turds go??? I bet I know, the are all on the Bruins and Celtics jocks now since they are both leading their division. Same ole story in pathetic beantown.
  21. Sanchez didn't throw any dumb passes today. Fitz makes 3 or 4 ill advised throws a game, that usually get picked off at the most inopportune times. Sanchez played great when he was on the field, he protected the ball like a good QB should.
  22. A franchise QB is someone you feel good about going into each game and each season until they are obviously past their prime. When you go into TC with an open competition for the starting QB spot, you probably don't have your guy.
  23. Both guys are their teams franchise QBs. The Chiefs may have whiffed on Cassel though, but Hasselback is a franchise QB, just out of his prime now.
  24. How many teams even made the playoffs without franchise QBs this year? I'm waiting????
