  1. There is no guarantee that the player we draft to replace Peters will be committed to the team! I think he outplayed his contract in 2006/2007 and his reward was Walker and Dockery making more money. The FO just did not want to pay!

I think that is it in a nutshell. I think because the team does not rate OL as important as the skill players they would rather spend money on other positions. Only time will tell if they are right. We will have to see, who we draft and what they accomplish to determine if it was the right thing to do.

  2. yes we ante up Stroud even though we did not have to, and we spent a ton of money on a #2 wr but forget about a pro-bowl LT. So we get Peters and his agent pissed and we are now happy with the 28th pick.

Oh instead of a 3rd, with that 1st, could I have a 4th and a 6th, I am watching my salary outlay, I do not want it to get too big!

  3. We blame the LT for the sacks, how many were caused by the QB holding the ball too long or stepping the wrong way?

How would you like it if you did the toughest job at your work and your company brought in 2 other guys for way more money that did not have to do your job. So you do your job well and these 2 other guys do not have to come close to your job rating but they get much more. No wonder Peters was mad, the FO screwed this one up. Then to make it worse they cut the guy they gave all the money to and say to you we will someday pay you after we try out some more people, oh by the way just play out the final 3 years of your way under paid contract.

I bet you would be mad too and want out

Teams do not honor contracts all the time, if Peters had gotten hurt or played badly he would of been cut

  4. I do not think that there is any group that could buy the Bills for what it will cost and keep it in Buffalo. I think Jim Kelly is just wishful thinking. If playing more games in Toronto keeps the Bills in WNY then I am for it, otherwise it's gone.

Some group could be dedicated to keeping the Bills in Buffalo but in the long run they could not survive and compete>

  5. Lets pay him 33 million for 3 years, with all of it coming in year 3, or just let him play out his contract.

This whole disaster is because the Bill's FO brought in Walker and Dockery at more money. neither will ever go to the pro bowl unless they buy tickets. Why should Peters not be upset and play hardball when it was OK to pay under performing players much more money.

  6. Yes clean out all the overpaid under performing players and try to rebuild to a winning team. I must of missed the Browns winning the SB last year? Or they could just stand pat and go 7-9 for 3 years. Maybe those players were not very good for what it has costs the Browns. Nice to have coaches that will not accept mediocrity and want to win.

  7. Parrish was drafted to be the #2 receiver and has failed. He is not a slot receiver and besides a being a good ST what does he bring that other players can not do. We have other players that can handle PK. We did not win with him so lets see if someone wants him, if we get no good offers then we know what his worth is to other NFL teams.

  8. Schobel will be on the IR again this year, Hs better years are behind him. He is a speed rush DE and with the foot injury he will be that much slower and older. He will play OK but not worth his contract.

  9. Seattle---We'll give you Parrish and our #11 for your RD1#4. We'll take Crabtree WR, Brown DE or Smith-Monroe OT.

Philly---Give us your #28, your #53, and the middle of your three RD5 picks at #157 (1198 pts). You get Moreno/Sanchez.

Kansas City----Gonzo plus your RD3#67 and you get your quarterback.

First Seattle If we do not want Parrish and think he is not a a good wr, why would they? You must think they are pretty

stupid to do this trade. Parrish is not worth much and not worth Seattles moving up to the 11th

Kansas City Already have their QB, not going to trade Gonzo. But they might do this, but I do not see where this helps

the Bills as Gonzo is getting up there in age.

Philly This might be doable if we accept their 3rd round pick instead of their 2nd. They do not want Sanchez

  10. How do the Bills absorb the 16.5 million cap hit for Peppers?. You need the cap money before you can trade for Peppers and Peppers can not be traded until he signs his tender. Also why would the Lions want to do it? They already have to spend a lot of money on the 1st pick. they could sign the 20th pick and the 33rd pick for the same money as they would spend on the 11th. The Lions need players, I can see the Lions trading the 20th pick but downward not up because of the first pick cost.

  11. This is what happens when you are brought in to manage a floundering team. Bad management and bad coaching have led to this debacle in Cleveland. They never should of drafted Winslow or Quinn, neither was as good as their hype. This is why you have to have good scouting and draft awareness. Know the system you want to run and draft the players that fit the system. Crennel was too easy on these players and it cost him his job. savage had no clue.
