Respect does not win games, because of the cap, this is a what have you done for me lately league. This is what the players wanted with FA. If a player does not perform, he's gone. Well that how it works on other teams. Schobel is not getting any younger and the Bills will have to address his play. He cost too much to be a part time player. Injuries start to mount up as a player ages. He was always undersized to start, I think he is starting to slow down and I do not count on him to be the player of old. Just my opinion, I hope I am wrong

Since he has not played that well for 2 OL coaches maybe the problem is the player. More is expected of a 1st round pick than a 6th. McCargo did not show enough to get into the game. You can not just keep playing a player if he does play well or do the things he is suppose to do just because he was picked in the first round. Good coaches know this and play the best players no matter where they get picked. Play well and your are in the game.

Gee and with his great play the Browns finished 4 - 12 and got their coach and GM fired. Hey bring him in and Juaron and Brandon are gone next year. I am for it.

Tony Dungy won 1 super bowl with one of the best QBs in history or than that he did not do anything. Remember TB team players not Prima Donna players win championships. Too many teams bow down to their stars and lose the team concept. How many championships did Dallas. Washington and San Diego win. Kosar was toast when BB arrived but no one wanted to believe him. Coaches that preach team play over stars are competitive year in and year out. They may not win each year but they are in it to the end.

Why would they do it? They know the Bills will not cut them, so why should they restructure and take less money. If you give them more bonus money I suppose they might do it. They do not think they are over paid

Peters has already said he would not hold out this year. He would not do what he did last year but do it differently at this point. How is this hurting his career? I say that if he does not get a new contract he just plays this year and if he goes to another Pro-bowl he just tells the Bills he will not sign here when his contract runs out.

Why will they be sorry, in the last 2 years he has hardly been a factor in big games. Great players start to go down hill at some point. It would be nice for players to finish out long careers with the same team, but in today's NFL, with the cap, you can not afford to keep paying big money to players that are no longer performing at a high level. Better to cut him a year too soon than 2 years too late.

This mock is well thought out except, I do not see the Seahawks taking a QB. It is not a priority with MH coming back healty. Sanchez did not have a good combine and neither QB is a top 10 pick by many experts. I do not think that the BUCs think Sanchez is worth giving up a second to move up just a few spots. Just my opinion.

Sorry Cushing although good, is not worth the 11th pick in the draft. He should go in the 20s. I would trade done to get him but not at 11.

Here is the difference, Matt Schwab Started in 3 games, Rob Johnson in 2 games. Then teams went crazy to get these guys. Matt Cassel started 15 games and played in a 16th. He became much better as the season progressed and had 2 400 games. At the end of the season he was playing at a top 5 level. Whether he can do it again next season is up to debate. If BB thinks he is better off with Cassel then he will ask Brady if he would like to be traded. Here is the kicker, if there is no CBA next season and there is no cap in 2010 then Cassel becomes a RFA because he will have less than 6 years. So they franchise him this season, if Brady is Brady then they trade Cassel. If Brady is not ready ,they keep him for the next year. If he plays well and Brady can no longer go they have the QB of the future. If there is no CBA then they will not have to franchise him in 2010. This sounds like they know what they want to do and are protecting themselves.
This is what good FOs do, they think ahead. They may have to eat 14 mill this year on Cassel but not next year. And if they are convinced that Brady will be back and ready they may get a couple of good draft picks on a guy who was picked in the 7th round. I could see the Lions trading their 20th or Minny their 22nd for him

The problem is more and more teams want to trade down not up. This is because of the cost of untried rookies. Successful teams try to acquire more picks in the draft because they know that some of the players will never pan out in the NFL. Many teams consider that after the top 10 players the rest of the the first round, players are at the same level and can be picked anywhere from 11 to 32. This is why the FO has to have a good idea on who the top players are and where can you get them. This is why multiple picks are desirable, if you miss on one then maybe the others will work out. This is also where the FO has to know who is a good second tier prospect

Raji can play both 3-4 and 4-3. He has been used that way by BC. he tore up the senior bowl centers

I do not think that Detroit is going to trade picks 20 and 33 for Peters. They need a lot of talent and Peters is not going to improve them enough to justify 2 high picks. I think they will use them to start building a team from the ground up. If we do not want peters why should they? Remember Matt Millen is gone as GM.

I have been to both places many times, I hate to say it but KC is a nice up and coming city. Not as many attractions as NF or Toronto but nice. Buffalo and NF are dying compared to KC.

Sorry Stroud was OK but no worthy of a contract extention. When his contract expires he will be 33. Not wise to extend him at that age. Need to get younger

Not going to happen. Spending 300 to 400 million on a stadium that is only used for 8 to 10 games a year is not cost effective. It has been proven that football teams do not create many jobs. Downtown NF needs jobs for 365 days a year not 10 to 12 days a year. A baseball team on the other hand will great more jobs and buisness since they play 81 games or more. A combination stadium may pay for itself and create jobs but a new stadium would surly have to have a retractable dome to be used for other things and that would cost 600 to 700 million. In these economic times this is not going to happen. No one is going to pay the taxes for it.

Youboty Too many problems not enough skill. Show some flashes but not enough. Not ready to be a NFL player should of stayed in school, not worth a 3 rd pick

Ko Simpson: Slow and out of position too much. Demoted and could not regain first year hype But at a 4th round pick he was not expected to be Ed Reed. May be servicable in the future but next year will tell a lot

Kyle Williams: Adequate at best, a bench player with other teams. Not a starter by any means But as 5th round pick he has been servicable DT Slow and out of position too often.

Brad Butler: Another 5th round player who is in the starting line up, but should not be. Backup player with some upside

Keith Ellison: 6th round LB OK but not a starter or impact player. Good for depth but will be back on the bench next year

The Jets owner knew Mangini had gone to his coaching limit. He knows he is stuck with Favre unless he retires for good.
They can not cut Favre next season because if he goes to a NFC Central team the Jets owe the Packers 3 1st round choices. He has to get a better coach who could work with Favre.
