RD 1, Pick 25: TE Dalton Kincaid, Utah
John from Riverside replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
So I am going to say this I also believe that Quinton Morris is better than the bills have given him the opportunity to show But that’s the way that it goes sometimes sometimes a player Hass to come in with a sunk cost in them so that the team is forced to carve out a role and that’s whenever you see actual production from the position -

Patrick Swayze rest in peace What is the speed the definition of not panicking? He could’ve traded up the wide receivers were coming off the board, but he wouldn’t have to give up more capital than he actually gave so instead, he chilled He let all those wide receivers come off the board and then grab the best pass, catching tight end in the draft before Dallas could take him Sounds to me like he played it. Pretty smooth. When we had a legitimate work, the middle of the field slot receiver in Cole, Beasley, Josh was perfectly happy to work the middle of the field and not go downtown with every throw He needs someone he can trust and then he will go back to it -

Why he’s not gonna be brought in here to block I’m sure he can give you as much as a wide receiver down the field, but he’s brought in here to catch passes not block I mean you’re full of *****, but I found this funny I think they’re expecting more out of Knox. There is something else to consider here. I think they are hoping for more production out of Dawson this next year, but this could also be a look to the future. If Knox does not pick up his production, they might be looking to get out of that contract, and they have already drafted a replacement. Blocking tight ends can be found easily in the later rounds. The bills are looking for playmakers. -

This is really not true We have seen plenty of titans come into the league and be productive early He’s not going to be asked to be the guy here immediately. He’s another weapon in the toolbox. Diggs is gonna end up wanting his touches Davis is on approve it here for a contract If he can feel the Beasley role he makes perfect sense He could, however, end up developing into the guy -

I think that they’re actually different types of te Either one would’ve actually been good, but I think Mayer is more like Knox I’m just glad that they did not draft a tiny wide receiver that we would’ve been stuck with for five years We got a legitimate target for our quarterback on a five-year cost control contract -

Yeah, you don’t take a guy like this in the first round unless there’s a specific idea of how you’re going to use them otherwise, you might as well just take a blocking tight end at the end of the draft and not your waist the resource Kansas City deploy us to tide in sets Buffalo is copying it. It’s pretty obvious Dalton is our Kelce -

I think saying, the quiet part out loud here would also help Whenever we brought in that tight end in free agency last year, we really thought we were going to a two te system Then he ended up getting cut That Hass to make some fans a little leery of the fact that we’re probably going to try to make that too tight in system work again But you have to have the horse is nowhere to be able to run it we’re not going to use Kincaid the same way they are really going to use him as a wide receiver and not a blocker What I envision is a safety valve in the middle of the field that knows how to get open and can run after the catch basically Beasley on steroids Let’s not forget Beasley was a wonderful player but the thing that made him special for us was his ability to get open to be that reliable guy that would get you that first down and keep the chains moving Kincaid can totally fill that role. We’re still gonna see Josh Allen taking shots down the field. Diggs is going to end up getting his and Gabe Davis is in a contract year. -

That was some really lazy writing by whoever wrote that He doesn’t understand what Dalton Kincaid actually is Colton is not your prototypical tight end. He is basically a big wr mike Gesicki for Miami or Kelsey for Kansas City They don’t ask those guys to block Dalton is a slot receiver that can work every area of the middle of the field, leaving Knox to be the in-line tight end Not talked about in his article at all is the fact that too tight and sets tend to open things up for the running game because you have better blockers on the field -

They’re small Every single one of them, except for Quinton Johnson, who was literally like one of the first wide receivers off the board I love that the bills got a separator even if it’s a tight end because those are the type of past catchers did Josh Allen works the best with I actually was having reservation about trading for Dhop just for this reason -

I just think it’s really interesting that this is the first offense of player that we have drafted in the first round since Josh Allen That’s quite a number of years -
Day 2 Bills Draft Targets ?

I’d like to see them go Bergeron I really hate doing that. I hate nailing it down to just one player because he can get taken but I love Bergerons flexibility. -

I got 20 bucks that says we hear the Dallas was totally going to draft Dalton Kincaid Kincaid will adjust the NFL rules he was playing with the rules they set forth in college. You can’t blame him for that. -

They’re not even gonna be use the same way a lot of times these players it’s all about fit and how they’re used we won’t be running James Cook near as much as they will be running hall -

Address the lines We used our first round pick on a weapon I was honestly expecting them to do it even before we took Kincaid -

It’s the draft people do this He, of course, is not comparing Kelsey to his on field accomplishments he’s comparing him to physical attributes -

I’m just not a big fan of all these small wide receivers that went this year I like big targets Dalton has the best hands in this draft -

He is not the same player as knox Knox was very raw coming out of college, and had to be brought along whereas Dalton is much more polished -

They were trying to roll with two titan sets last off-season and didn’t have the groceries. The one that they brought in was not good enough, but they were still messing with it. What you did was a position in the draft that is supposed to be strong in this draft Nobody had Dalton Kincaid going that late -

That is super high for Robinson. I think I’m gonna say that that’s too high not for a running back. They are going to work him till he kills over
