Clown!
Rex is clearly trolling the media....

What I love what EJ brings to the table is that he throws a beautiful deep ball. That is what this team needs! Everyone knows we are going to run the ball, and stopping the run will be the opposing teams priority. With the speed and playmaking of Sammy, Woods, Harvin, Clay, Goodwin, Deonte- we need a QB that can take the top off, and make teams respect the big play. Which in turn, opens up the running game. Power football, with big shots taken repeatedly suits this offense.
We need more then just good deep balls.......we need throws thrown with anticipation and a qb willing to scramble for a first down when needed
That first year.....I thought that was EJ (before the coaches messed him up)
but
I just have this feeling I KNOW this is Tyrod Taylor
I really wonder if this might end up pushing Cassell to 3rd strong QB when this is all said and done.
-
Weren't they out for the Cleveland game too? And Tyrod was still able to put some things together. However he couldn't finish his drives, let's see if EJ can bring one home for a TD
That is a good point in this
Can EJ do what Tyrod did.....which was take backups and make them productive against 1st stringers.........
-

So, outside of the shooting, how'd you enjoy the play Mrs. Lincoln ?
There are ways to slown down a qbs productivity.....one of them is to simply have long sustained drives and keep his ass on the bench
-
It seems to me that our injuries were happening on hot days
Its football....you can only do so much but they might want to dial it back on days where it is really hot on the field......not saying dont practice.....but maybe run a few more 3/4 speed stuff
-
I think with Dareus we had a chance, without his presence in the middle stopping the run and putting pressure on Luck, Im not seeing it. Him being out was huge loss for this contest
I felt much better about this after they signed Red Bryant......who is a starting caliber DT
-
Tyrod stinks. If he starts, Bills fans will be clamoring for Cassell after week 3.
Please amplify your answer or nobody is going to take u seriously.
thanks

Did anyone else cringe a little bit when they saw TT taking throwing mechanic suggestions from Michael Vick
lol
-
It looks like a perfect storm of events that kept Tyrod from even being on the path he is on.....might be very good for us
-
I am amazed at how many bills fans we have that work in the entertainment business on this board.......we should ALL get together for a beer sometime if your in the la area
-
The one problem with all this Simon
This defense is biult to win RIGHT NOW......not in 5 years. We dont know what we are going to have on D in 5 years
We do know that we have a top 3 D right now.
And yes....I think TT can throw that out
-
Ummmm. No ?
34 ints to go with his 30 tds last 4 years.
Ryan,
That is concerning to me as well
-
He is not my choice....but I would totally get behind it if named starter
and
Tyrod is going to be in there at some point this season regardless.....book it
-
Something tells me we will keep him
Something tells me we will be glad we did
-
I knew that O'Leary had certain limitations......I just viewed him as a "old school" type that was gonna impress with his blocking and sure hands
hasnt happened
-
If at some point this year Tyrod shows he is a servicable starter you can bet the bills renegotiate his contract
-
Our problem is that the most consistent was Cassel, the most accurate was Cassel, the oldest is Cassel; the best QBR is Manuel, the most TDs is Manuel, the most dangerous is Tyrod, and the one Rex and fans like is Tyrod.
Yes, the Goodwin pass was right on the money.
The only bad thing is the Turk rolls through on my wife's birthday.
Trying to get one of them to change dates.
My guess as to what happens:
QB- (3) Taylor starts Game 1 vs Colts, also keep Manuel, Cassel (Simms PS)
RB/FB (5) McCoy, Jackson, Felton, Dixon, Karlos W. (Brown traded/cut) Unless Karlos goes to NFI or PUP
TE: (5) Clay, Gragg, Gray, Mulligan, OLeary
WR (6) Watkins, Woods, Harvin, Deonte Thompson, Easley, Thigpen (Andre Davis, Dez Lewis PS; Hogan Traded/Cut)
LBs (6) Bradham, Brown, Lawson, Randell Johnson, Tony Steward (ILB/Mike), IK Enemkpali (Edge), ( Ladler PS)
CB/S (10) Gilmore, Robey, Darby, Brooks, Butler, A. Williams, D. Williams, Graham, Rambo (Meeks or Cockrell Cut)
O Line (7) Wood, Incognito, Miller, Henderson, Kouandjio, Urbik, Glenn. (Chandler PS, Richardson Cut)
D Line (7) M. Williams, Kyle Williams, Jerry Hughes, Dareus, Alex Carrington, Red Bryant, Stefan Charles (Reed PS)
Specialists: (3) Sanborn, Carpenter, Schmidt
McKelvin PUP List
PS:
-
Cierre Wood RB
-
Gaines LB
-
Noel CB
-
Andrew Hudson DE
-
Ladler S
-
Justin Hamilton DT
-
Simms QB
-
Andre Davis WR
-
Dez Lewis WR
-
O'Leary TE
Cuts: Bronson Hill RB, Ricky Seale RB, Lankster CB, Groves LB, Buchanan DE, Kupper OG/OC, Campbell OG, Richardson OG, BJ Larsen DE, Fluellen DT, Tobais Palmer WR, Willis Austin WR
I think O'Leary goes to practic squad and we keep Thigpen

I still have this feeling that the bills look at EJ Manuel as their developmental player and that is why they are keeping 3.......
Cassell is a vet and Tyrod has more years in the NFL......so they are going with those two this year.........but I really think that if EJ can continue his progression (and say what you want....EJ HAS gotten better) that he might be in serious consideration next year.
-
Agreed...it looks like practice squad to me......
In past years O'Leary probably makes this team because our TE's are so aweful
-
Please note: this thread was not started in snark.
I am genuinely appreciative of the substantive feedback that was provided.
If I knew how--or if I had permission--I'd go ahead and close this thread. Nothing left to see. You guys are great.
I think its a good questions actually
I think he went through a rough patch.......and frankly we got lucky
-
Nobody is really talking about who completed what anymore.......
-
Tyrod will get those deep balls on target eventually...right?
How on target does it need to be? It hit him in the chest

I hope SDS has the site prepared for the bandwith problem that play would make
