  3. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/football/3537982.html Dec. 20, 2005, 4:00PM Bills' Holcomb Expected to Start Again By JOHN WAWROW AP Sports Writer © 2005 The Associated Press ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Journeyman backup quarterback Kelly Holcomb will likely make his second start in place of limping J.P. Losman when the Buffalo Bills play at Cincinnati on Saturday. Coach Mike Mularkey said after practice Tuesday that he's leaning toward starting Holcomb even though Losman practiced on a limited basis. Losman sat out Buffalo's 28-17 loss to Denver last weekend after hurting his throwing shoulder and left leg in a loss to New England on Dec. 11. Losman, who is listed as probable to play, showed no signs of difficulty throwing passes in practice, but did walk with a slight limp. The Bills (4-10), who have lost five straight and seven of eight, face the Bengals (11-3), who have already clinched their first division title in 15 years and are attempting to secure a first-round playoff bye. Offensive lineman Mike Williams, who has missed three games with a pulled back muscle, is listed as questionable after missing practice. Reserve tight end Ryan Neufeld (right knee) is listed as out after he was hurt last weekend. Holcomb had an OK outing last weekend, going 22-of-35 for 202 yards passing and a touchdown in making his sixth start of the season. The 10-year veteran has been the Bills' more efficient quarterback this season, going 108-of-162 for 1,017 yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions. The Bills also are 3-3 in games Holcomb started. Losman is a first-year starter who was awarded the No. 1 job in February in place of Drew Bledsoe, who was released and is now starting in Dallas. In eight starts and nine games, Losman has completed less than 50 percent of his attempts and has eight touchdowns and eight interceptions.
  4. From ABC News.... Alcohol Sales Banned From Jets-Pats Monday Game Nine Fans Were Arrested at Jets-Saints Matchup in November HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (Dec. 20) - Alcohol won't be sold during Monday night's game between the Jets and Patriots at the Meadowlands in an attempt to quell rowdy fan behavior. The ban comes after nine fans were arrested during the Jets-Saints game Nov. 27. One man was charged with stabbing two fans in a restroom, and a state trooper broke his leg while trying to eject a fan who reportedly threw a beer bottle. Jets spokesman Ron Colangelo said Tuesday the ban was put in place to protect fans. The Jets and New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority made the joint decision. "It's for precautionary reasons, to provide for the safety and comfort of our fans," Colangelo said. Colangelo said alcohol will be available at the Jets' season finale Jan. 1 against Buffalo, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. EDT. Earlier this year, NJSEA president George Zoffinger pledged to deal with the problem of drunk fans.
  5. The snowball fight at halftime rocked.
  6. We interrupt the marching band to bring you a snow ball fight.
  7. FYI.... Elvis left the stadium after the Bills 1st drive in the 4th quarter.
  8. http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/5176446 "Buffalo, which set the NHL record for consecutive road wins with 10 in 1983-84, will travel to Philadelphia on Monday in search of a ninth straight road victory"
  9. But, but, I heard of him... Leinart will absolutly be an NFL bust. His success is based on having a ridiculous amount of talent around him. Reggie Bush, Mike Williams, and an offensive line that gives him all day to throw the ball. Tim Couch, Eric Crouch, Alex Ware, Gino, Ryan Leaf, Wuerffel, Klinger and soon Matt Leinart. Why would SF, Houston or Buffalo take a QB with the 1st pick? The Jets or Browns are more likely to draft a QB with their 1st pick.
  10. I only saw 2-3 people actually wearing orange last night. But there was a good, "Tom must go" chant at the start of the 3rd quarter.
  11. Pink slips for pink panties. TD and MM must go!
  12. I think you could question a few things about Roscoe, but his toughness isn't one of them.
  13. If i heard the guys on the radio correctly, Nate was looking for a $20 million signing bonus at the start of this season. He can pretty much kiss that goodbye. Also, the value of CB have gone down this season. They were saying the Bills could franchise him for around $5 million for next season.
  14. http://media.guardian.co.uk/site/story/0,1...1591602,00.html Paper view technology Katy Duke Thursday October 13, 2005 Cheap, paper-thin TV screens that can be used in newspapers and magazines have been unveiled by German electronics giant Siemens. The firm says the low production costs could see the magazine shelves in newsagents come alive with moving images vying for the customers' attention as they move along the aisle. The new technology caused a sensation when it was first made public this week at the Plastics Electronics trade fair in Frankfurt. Siemens spokesman Norbert Aschenbrenner claimed the new screens, which are literally paper thin, can do everything a regular TV screen or computer monitor can do, but cost a fraction of the price. "The technology makes it possible to put moving images directly onto paper ... at a cost that would make it economical to use on everything from magazines to cigarette packets ... where the moving images would give more detailed instructions than any photo could ever do," he said. He said that the technology will be used for Harry Potter-style dynamic pictures in newspapers but will probably take a little while to get cheap enough. "We think that at the moment the screens will appear first in more expensive magazines in the form of high-impact adverts. But as the price sinks we expect them to appear in papers as well, possibly as a really attention-grabbing front page. "The images are in colour, and can broadcast anything that can be shown on a regular flat screen monitor or TV, although with a slightly lower quality. These could be short film clips or flash animations like those found on the internet. The company believes there will also be a market for using them for simple computer games which could be printed on the side of a package or given away free in magazines. The Siemens spokesman said that one square metre of the material costs around £30, and scientists working on the screens said they should be available by 2007.
  15. Ok, I'm just !@#$in with you. But seriously, Josh is an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season. Do you think the Bills should resign him?
  16. I think the mods could better utilize there time by merging duplicate threads on the main board. I wasn't even aware there was a birthday section here on TBD.
  17. Dude, who cares? (other than you and maybe Ed) Happy Birthday to you.... Happy Birthday to you.... Happy 4,282nd birthday Crayonz... Happy Birthday to you.
  18. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/ "I love the whole East Coast atmosphere," Bush said. "I can definitely see myself playing here, playing for the New York Jets."
  19. Was the stadium even half full yesterday?
  20. The only "must have" player is Reggie Bush. What ever team drafts this guy will have all the cards. They could do what San Diego did with Eli Manning and rape another team for picks/players. Leinart has two bum knees and runs just a bit faster than Bledsoe. He would get absolutely murdered behind our O-line. I don't see Quinn and Young coming out this year.
  21. Need something more catchy. We want moulds... or We are... Jerk Nation....
  22. I rather save Toby.
  23. Sounds like you need to go to Mixers!
  24. Ask yourself, what would BF do?
