I'm suprised no one has mentioned his name on the board. Talk about a college kicker. This guy simply does not miss. I think he was 5/5 today with 3 or 4 over 40, one from 55. Best kicker I've seen in college ball this season.
The look of champions is in them. And Theo Epstein is a genious for pulling off that Cabrera trade. He was looking to win now. Cabrera's defense is part of the reason why the Red Sox defense is improved.
Pete-
Say whatever you want about the poor pitching. The playoffs haven't started yet. If they lose in the playoffs, that's a different story. The Yankees have had a couple of blow-out loses this year but the playoffs are what counts.
We played well enough to win in the first half. I think that we were afraid to take the game. We put ourselves in that position and hopefully we can learn from it.
I saw it myself, I was dissapointed I didn't see it live. I don't know who started it but it was good that they broke it up in a hurry. Whoever threw that chair is going to be suspended for a lengthly period of time.
The future of this team is now. This team was built to win now. I'm dissapointed we didn't get off to a good start. On the other hand, it would be nice to see JP on the field.
Well that easy for you to say about Jerry Gray. His plan was fine. There were three defenders around the guy who caught the ball. Unfortunetly, no one was looking at the ball and only the reciever.
Frustration took over at that point. Bottom line, we had it and we gave it away. It looked very familar just like the past two years. On a positive note, our defense played well and looks to be a solid group.
I saw the end of that game yesterday and Norte Dames defense was spectacular. The best I've seen it in a long time. Great Linebackers and a good safety.
