Pete-
Say whatever you want about the poor pitching. The playoffs haven't started yet. If they lose in the playoffs, that's a different story. The Yankees have had a couple of blow-out loses this year but the playoffs are what counts.
We played well enough to win in the first half. I think that we were afraid to take the game. We put ourselves in that position and hopefully we can learn from it.
I saw it myself, I was dissapointed I didn't see it live. I don't know who started it but it was good that they broke it up in a hurry. Whoever threw that chair is going to be suspended for a lengthly period of time.
The future of this team is now. This team was built to win now. I'm dissapointed we didn't get off to a good start. On the other hand, it would be nice to see JP on the field.
Well that easy for you to say about Jerry Gray. His plan was fine. There were three defenders around the guy who caught the ball. Unfortunetly, no one was looking at the ball and only the reciever.
Frustration took over at that point. Bottom line, we had it and we gave it away. It looked very familar just like the past two years. On a positive note, our defense played well and looks to be a solid group.
I saw the end of that game yesterday and Norte Dames defense was spectacular. The best I've seen it in a long time. Great Linebackers and a good safety.
All that maybe, but it was the first game of the season and the better team won tonight. If New England lost this game I would have been shocked. They had so many opportunites to wind down the clock. But the champions managed to pull it out in the end.
