Yes, I have a standard white fridge I'm going to steal/borrow from my parents. its their outdoor garage fridge with top freezer.

My hope was to run a two or three keg system out of it.

Obviously needing a CO2 splitter for it.

I have been watching a bunch of YouTube videos and it doesn't seem overly hard just wanted to make sure i am not missing anything.

Look is the least important thing for me, if anything i can get fancy and paint it if needed.

my plan was to do the door spigots and then run a line out of the side for the co2.

There is not normally freon tubing coming out the sides is there? It's mostly in the back from what little i know about fridges

Skip trying to paint it, look for a wrap to cover the dings and scratches

The one in Snyder (Kensington near Harlem) is now a Federal meat market.  Wasn't there one on Main close to UB city campus?

There was one on Sheridan Drive, Get me a Barnbuster!!

It was always a bit of a disappointment when the picture finally came round and it was just a bloke with a beard enjoying eating a banana.

    (That wasn't a banana)

I’m worried About the Pats tanking for Lawrence

Thats my biggest concern, the team that tanks for Lawrence will have a short trip to the basement followed by a long time in the penthouse. The kid is a generational talent that should be do quite well for a long time as long as the team who gets him builds a line around him. He can make guys around him look good.

I was on the fence but plan on renewing. I am curious to see what happens with Corona virus and if games will actually be played or in empty stadiums.

What a mess this whole thing is. Scary

I would think a fan base that drinks from bowling balls and buttcracks would be relatively immune to the latest virus, but I'm not a doctor

Pat’s was on Sheridan Dr. at Parker, southeast corner.  Another dog joint was on the southwest corner, but not Ted’s.  A Walgreens now stands where Pat’s used to.

I’m waiting for the Rochester area contributors to chime in singing the praises of Zweigel’s red hots and white hots.

We lived in Kenmore so we would alternate between Pats , Teds and Louies at the foot of Sheridan. Louies is still there, still one of the best but for this poll, I picked Teds as best.

  6. We cancelled a trip to Italy for Mid April, still trying to get the airlines straightened out, we have a certain drop dead date to re-book of mid March, with travel by November (when we made the original reservation) otherwise we need to pay a rebooking fee of $150 per seat. Hotels were ok with cancellations, yet for some reason the trip to the Vatican is not refunding money right now. Our other side trips have been reasonable with refunds. We hope the Bills schedule gives us the SF game early in the season so we can use the flights for that trip.

The wild west shootout was going on when I was a mere pratt of a lad back in the 60s.  I think they were different upon opening in that they were a ‘pay one price’ park, Crystal Beach at the time collected tickets on each ride, purchased at booths around the park.  I do remember Fantasy Island being big on promoting themselves.  My father’s new Oldsmobile had a BIG bumper sticker plastered to it saying something like ‘We Had Fun at Fantasy Island’.  My mother stormed off to the office, and someone from the park was soon peeling it off before we left the parking lot.  Must be why they switched to annoying kids braying the “Fun?  Wow!” slogan on commercials.

I remember a similar thing. We pulled up and all got out of the car and as we headed for the gates I watched as my dad was looking back at the car and saw a guy placing bumper stickers on every car in the row. He stops and jogged (I never EVER saw him run) back and starts yelling at the guy telling him in no uncertain terms that he does not want a bumper sticker, nor does he want any Fantasy Island advertising anywhere near his car or kids (I guess dad didnt have the Fantasy Island account or something). I had never seen him get worked up over something so trivial.

The weird thing is the young picture of Kaley looks exactly like somebody else, but I can't put my finger on who

The young picture of Kaley does remind me of Julie Bowen from Modern Family (Claire Dunphy)

I didn’t kiss my father, but I did hug regularly and often after I became an adult.  It really wasn’t his thing, but God love him he’d pat me on the back and tolerate my newfangled ways.  He died many years ago, and I’m grateful for every minute.

Pretty much the same for me, hugs and an awkward back pat until he got used to the new norm, still wish I could get one....

  10. Breckenridge has some nice skiing, but as others said, try to get to Aspen if you can for some nice bowl skiing. Breckenridge has some nice glade skiing as well as some nice cruisers. I don't recall a lot of bowls when there.

Stash away for another trip, Jackson Hole is a nice trip, great bowl skiing, but if you go, carve out some time for the backside of the Tetons, Grand Targhee is a smaller (but still big) mountain about an hour away. We had 2 epic days there a few years ago. When we got to the condo at the end of the day, the people that skiied Jackson Hole were beat from sloppy conditions, meanwhile we had great, crisp powder, great terrain, bowls and spines that are just breathtaking. An awesome side trip if you are in the area. The only problem is you need to go through the Teton pass, which can get closed from time to time due to avalanches.

  11. We have a challenge ahead of us. We currently live on Long Island, high taxes, high cost of living. I have been here since 1982 since my wife is from here. As we start to look at retirement options, I would like to move back to WNY or at least CNY if I could find the right option. Our daughter is going to be staying in Long Island, since she is in the nursing field and established. Her boyfriend has just become a county cop last year. Any move we make will require to be within 1 day driving distance or the wife will balk at moving.

I was hoping for something with reasonable taxes (ours are astronomical at 13K between county and school) where we could maybe spend May to November, then go south for December to end of April. As I look at Buffalo real estate I, usually look for something in the downtown or Elmwood village areas, where I can have access to the waterfront or other activities there. I have noticed the prices have been moving up dramatically over the past year. I usually search 2 bed 2 bath condos/townhouses since we will be vacant part of the year. It is now gone from 190's to well over 225 in the last 9 months. I had been saving the emails, and some places have jumped 20K in a year. Are people flipping stuff that quick? Are people speculating on a downtown stadium and scooping up properties?

  12. Sorry for your loss.

I am not an expert, but if he has a will in place, I would think that could set forth the final wishes of your Dad. If he had made arangements or agreements with the elder  advocate as to his final decisions, I would ask her for copies of such agreements. Are there any siblings that may have copies of the agreements or the will? Did he have a local attorney down there that would have filed a will and guardianship documents? Thats where I would start. I would also follow my "spidey senses" and take a trip down there to check in on any other things that the nursing home may need to close out his account, and to retrieve any items he may have left behind.
