Thanks. Really appreciate the input. My wife thinks a tour be fine. I see the plus of the perks you point out, the must sees are probably brutal without pre-planning no matter when you go. I don’t like being held to a schedule, or told how I have to go about my days on vacation, but when in Rome….

My bigger problem is this is a one and done trip, I want to see Naples and the Amalfi Coast. My wife would be happy with the Big Three, which would be less demanding.

We did Italy last fall, the advice you have gotten so far is spot on. Naples seemed a bit sketchy, but for a day or two I guess it is fine. We ended our trip planning on touring the Almalfi coast, using Sorrento as our base for 4 nights, we loved it so much, we only did Capri and spent the rest of our time in and around Sorrento. The trains are definitely the way to go. We started up north (Milan to Venice to Cinque Terr to Florence and then Rome, using trains for most of the legs of the trip. Wonderful experience, don't worry about the language barriers, you will be fine.

They also had vocalists wend the station ID into intros of songs.  Maddening. 🤨

I'm nostalgic for the Ridgeway Ontario of 30 years ago.  It's amazing the number of homes that have gone into the area in recent years.

The Ridgeway of old is not forgotten, but as it keeps crawling outward farther down Dominion towards Buffalo and Crescent beach, the cookie cutter homes are making it look like a suburb of Toronto. Sad that we are losing those open spaces and unique small roadside oddities.

  3. We have spent the last 5 years in 136 row 32, an the aisle. I like the view from up there, we had been around row 18 before that and were blocked by traffic on the sidelines and couldn't see much of the action as it came to our side of the field. I love the view from that area, and being on the aisle you have the extra space to see over people. Since our seats in the new stadium will be closer to the tunnel, we moved this season to 131 row 34 on the aisle to get used to next years view.

I fell down the steps at my house one night, twisted my ankle and broke my foot. A couple of days later, i went out grocery shopping with my wife. I'm hobbling around, in pain and the place was packed........some dude ran his cart into my foot and completely twisted it sideways. I dropped to the floor in tears and the dude just walked away, no remorse, no care in the world, nothing.

..............many would say that i just don't like people and they would be right.

Well, were you hobbling in the center aisle like an abandoned shopping cart? Serves you right!

  5. Last week against the Ravens I had some heart pains/issues combined with chest tightening on Saturday watching the other games. Wife wanted to take me to ER, I said I was ok, but I was getting concerned. This week, I am feeling that "Calmness". I think this team, this QB, this season is leading us to this game for a reason (it may be to crush us) but I think it is to finally allow us to break through and finally have the team we need to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in Niagara square. The 90's Bills had something, but not quite what this crew has.

  6. This game was a win-win for me, If the Jets do their normal meltdown, I get to hear the wailing of Jets fans about their team. If Houston loses, we are ahead of themI for a bit. I'm either going to listen to complaining of Jets fans (awesome) or hear them pontificate that this is the beginning of the new era, Either way, they will crash and burn, and I am happy.
