Ramsey will be man to man on Davis. They will double diggs is my guess

I hope not, I want Diggs to go one on one with him and hand him his lunch. Don’t think Josh has forgotten and I’m pretty sure Diggs would love to help his buddy #17 out in punishing the Ram Ham Jalen Ramsey for all the trash talking he did about Josh a few years back.

  2. Especially under the Beane tenure the Bills just haven’t enjoyed a great success ratio with the OL. One of the rare gems that he found, Wyatt Teller, was traded off just a bit too soon. When one looks over Beane’s history with the Bills, he has imo, provided positive results with all other positions of the roster. If he didn’t have immediate success then he did after tinkering with the personnel in due time. I don’t find this to be the case with the OL though. Check it out.

This indicates to me that this is not the area of expertise so far with this administration. Hopefully they’ll listen to Kromer and let him have more say in constructing the OL, he has had great success with his OL with years passed. To really solidify the greatness of this roster/franchise I believe the OL is the Achilles’ heel of this team. I would think that Beane took whatever input Kromer had about Cody Ford into consideration.

Fantastic showing against Denver. Probably as exciting a preseason game as I can recall. I actually watched the whole game! So many bubble players I wanted to see play.

As good as Offense and Defense both appear to be - as well as depth / rotation strength, there are 3 phases to the game and ST appears to be the weak link. Of course the coaches are still rotating players through different roles but there were not a lot of great plays on punt / kick coverage.

Bubble players have to focus on ST and make that their craft. Forget position needs for bubble players. Bills don't need more RB depth, WR depth, LB depth - they need ST starters! ST play will dictate who makes the final 53.

    Totally agree.

Truthfully, I don’t know, something like that would be over my head. Senators and Congress have delved into the NFL in the past but we’re pretty much shut out.

I love football but it’s a dirty business ran by a very wealthy closed fraternity. If it weren’t for the Bills I probably wouldn’t watch football because of that but I’ve been a fan of the Bills since I was a little kid. To me the Bills are what’s good with the NFL so I guess I’m addicted to them and I can’t quit them. That’s about as honest of an assessment of me that I could be.

I agree that he is a disgusting person and my preference would have been 6 games per settled suit - so 6x24 games and then he is still on the browns and the contract must be payed out by the Browns - screw them both.

The problem is that is not the way the world works with unionized employees and why should the NFL be made accountable to punish someone severely when the law didn’t.

I just feel that this was a bunch of crap by the OP acting with fake outrage that this is the straw that makes him leave the NFL.  It is pure crap as he posts it on an NFL board and will be on here trolling about the Bills all season.  I hate people that feign outrage about something, but are not going to do something or suggest a fix.

Changes should be made and the NFL could impose better qualifications around situations like these, but to blame the NFL for the actions of Watson - that is terrible.

I don’t want to get into an argument with you or anyone else, you have the right to have your opinion and I’ll respect that but you don’t know me so don’t come back about me having fake outrage. I’ll say this, if I were to witness sexual assault on a woman I wouldn’t stand there and look the other way, I can promise you that.

The famous saying is - you can indict a ham sandwich - meaning that it is relatively easy to get an indictment.  An indictment is just a decision to go to trial, which is why if it is even close, they come back with an indictment.  An indictment essentially means that it looks like something possibly could be there so let's get all the evidence out at trial.  I am affected by the media coverage just like everyone else, so I was shocked when two grand juries refused to indict him.  We'll never know why, because that stuff is all sealed, but that likely means that there is less evidence than we are being led to believe.  I honestly went from nuclear against Watson to puzzled and slightly confused.

It was two different juries - not a rogue judge, but a jury - not one, but two.

I have no doubt that Watson propositioned most or all of these women and that he is a scumbag, but I don't see how I can take issue with the punishment.  In addition to the 11 games without pay and the fine, he didn't get to play all last season as this was being decided.  It seems like a severe punishment.  Isn't it the most severe in the history of the NFL?

All of this stuff where people pontificate and thump their mighty chest about how the NFL missed a chance to stand for women...sigh.  If they don't mention the fact that they refused to even charge him...it comes across as virtue signaling.  It is the popular take that everyone will like and makes you feel good - look at me, I support women!

And, if we are going to hate on the NFL, shouldn't we hate on the player's union more?  They pushed for less punishment.  What a surprise, ex-players come on these shows and blame the NFL and not their own union.

Again, just to be clear, I think Watson is scumbag and deserves his punishment.

Well spoken,.very eloquent. I admit that I did not take last year into consideration which should credited towards the punishment. Very classy response, thanks.

Sounds like a bunch of crap with no thought.  The NFL is not to blame.  This is not an NFL issue as it occurs both in and sports.

Be upset, but direct your anger correctly at the person and the legal system.

If you want to start - leave the fandom, but then give up everything NFL - like the board, give up everything from private companies as they do not punish, give up the US as you stated it is seen in politics, go find a small cave where you can live alone and have your morals.

You can scavenge for food and make your own clothes and furniture and be free from this tyranny- if not then you are supporting amoral people all of the time and why you think you should hold the NFL above every other company and government is stupid.

Watson is not the only one, just the latest. It  did go to court and was ruled sexual assault. Goodell went on record earlier this month and condemned it and had a strong opinion on the act and the punishment. So what changed since then?

  8. Hey, as long as this continues with some athletes being treated as above the law and the NFL just slaps their hand then the NFL and it’s “employees” will never have to clean up their act. Politics, we see it in our government and we see it in our sports, these athletes have gotten way out of control. As outrageous as this has become imagine if it were your sister or daughter that was victimized. As of now it’s just women that you hear about but if it were to hit home it would compound it immensely. Something needs to be put into place by being regulated by a third party, it’s WAY overdue! It’s disgusting that these people with no morals or conviction are in a position of authority.

    That was my first thought.

For some people (not necessarily Knox) it could certainly feel overwhelming to have the burden of feeling like you have to thank fans repeatedly for their generosity while also bearing the weight of grieving for your families loss.

That being said, and as Augie pointed out, it is a wonderful cause that all are donating to.

Well, once the dust settles for Dawson I’m sure we’ll find out how it may affected him. I would think that he would understand that it was meant in a supportive manner and it was well intended but I could also understand if it was something of a hinderance for him.

  10. If anyone was to go I’d rather it be Kumerow before Hodgins. Some people have it and some people don’t. I believe Hodgins has it, it was kind of painful watching Kumerow play offense the other day.

Exactly Chans.  I’m in the camp to buy his services earlier rather than later and IR him.  He’s a definite upgrade over Crowder once healthy and would probably mean less receptions for McKenzie in late November/December.  Having Diggs, Davis and OBJ is a daunting thought.  OBJ was impactful for the Rams when healthy.

Id rather not wait it out as it increases the chances to outbid us.  Besides we have a world class training facility, and our trainers and doctors can assist with his rehab.  I’d make that a stipulation in his contract.  It also gives him two months in rehab to learn the playbook, and get to know Allen.  What Allen likes and not, so he can hit the ground running (no pun intended).

If the Bills are interested in OBJ then I would think that they would and should wait a few games to assess what they already have. What I would be concerned with is the team chemistry. I really don’t know what to expect but Diggs considers himself, and rightly so, the alpha dog and I would think that that could be a potential issue. In addition to that Davis wants the ball more and has come right out and said that. McKenzie imo is going to have a HUGH year and personally I would like to give him the full opportunity to perform. I realize that that’s not the popular choice so I understand that it might not be the right decision.

  12. I don’t get all this OBJ talk, I don’t see it happening. Von Miller started this because that’s his buddy but the Bills have already been down this road and passed. Rumor has it that former Giants’ GM Dave Gettleman offered him up to Beane before the Cleveland trade and Beane said thanks but no thanks.

Unless there were an injury to the WR corp then there’s no need to bring OBJ to Buffalo imo. If I were Davis and/or McKenzie I wouldn’t be too appreciative of Miller blabbing about bringing him on while the Bills are still in the preseason, it’s actually kind of disrespectful.

  13. Thanks JoeF for posting this and I am truly sorry for you, your wife and your family’s loss, it breaks my heart. I was going to post about the HOF inductees’ and their speeches but you spared me. I’m relieved to not have to make a post about this, I didn’t want to get bashed for making a post so you saved me.

I’m about as big of a Bills’ fan as anyone else but these HOF inductions and their speeches cuts deep for me. It’s not about their accomplishments that touches me, it’s what it took for them to get their and I am never disappointed watching and listening to their speeches.

This is my first opportunity to address this. I just got home from my youngest son/child’s (he’s 31 years old) graduation from a Christian based rehab facility, for him it was a 10 month stay on campus program. Back in 2010, it’s the same son who survived a stabbing to his heart. I’m not comparing my situation to yours but for several hours there there really wasn’t any hope, so I think I might have a better understanding than the norm of your pain. God’s mercy prevailed and I am forever grateful, my son made a full recovery. You see family means everything to me, it’s by far the best and maybe the only thing that I really did good in my life.

I love football and the Bills by far and away but now that I’m in my “golden years” I have come to realize that I love people more, they’re irreplaceable. God bless you and your family.

  14. I just saw this on YouTube, it was from 6 hours ago. Rich Eisen is interviewing Dalvin Cook and Cook said something of interest, he said what people don’t know is that his younger brother James is running in between the Tackles. I’m assuming that he is referring to camp so far, I thought that this is of interest when there is a discussion about Singletary and/or Moss’ role on this team.
